I have to admit I didn't think too much of this album 3 years ago; I mean, I liked it, but I didn't think it was anything too special. Fast forward to 2021, and after many "meditative" listens, I believe this album is a gem that will be talked about for decades to come.

At first I wasn't surprised at another 8/10. You've given so many out this year.
Managed to snag a translucent green vinyl copy from my local record shop a few days ago. When played through a good stereo setup you can seriously shake down a room with this weighty piece. It will have you locked to your couch as it plays through

I think your missing the point of al's vocal delivery (on this new album as well as OM), his "deadpan/ campy" vocals add to the meditative drone feeling of the songs

Check your stereo settings dude. Sounds massive through mine, and it's not anything fancy.
This is my favorite album I've heard this year. IMO, it's the best thing Sleep has ever done and the single best stoner metal album... ever. Also, Giza Butler f#ckin rocks. Listen again.

Really only The Sciences, Marijuanats Theme, Giza Butler and the Botanist are new songs (2 instrumentals??), while Sonic Titan and Antarcticans are 10-20+ years old. Why The Clarity and Leagues Beneath werent included, i have no idea.
