Thanks for this I have the same problem in my jeep. I saw the back light and side light in front were working and didn't even think about the bottom light in front. I thought I had a bad dashlight or short in the line or something. So simple but overlooked makes me feel bad lol. Thanks again real life saver.
The perfect fix. A friend's 1992 Chevy Astro Van had this problem. The driver's side worked, but the passenger side came on but wouldn't blink. We cleaned all the bulb sockets, and replaced all the old, burned out bulbs and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for the video. You know with replacement LEDS especially in the front of the vehicle, you loose that dim amber light that works with your headlights during at night and in rainy weather. As with the bulb that you have, regular OEM front amber signals have 2 filaments, one for signaling and one to stay on with
The non blinking is due to the bulb not being lit. When the bulb lights is heats the element inside the blinker relay and causes it to turn off then on again as it heats and cools. The light on the dash is just and indicator of the blinker staying on because of the burnt bulb. Its not a feature, its physics. But it helps.

same thing is happening on my 2001 tacoma, it actually happened last year, and my cousin and i fiddled around with some stuff, and then it just stopped doing it and worked fine, and it worked perfectly normal for over a year, just started again today...... i will try the bulbs, hopefully that does the trick
I have the exact same problem on the right side on my 2000 GC. Someone said change the combo relay. I’m not much of a mechanic but I have changed bulbs. Will try it today. Will save me $$$ if this is the fix.
Does your Jeep use a bi-metallic flasher can? Just that all the electronic flashers I have had flash faster when there is a blown bulb & only 'hang' when the contacs of the flasher itself are dirty/pitted. :-?
If you hook up a trailer and the lights blink fast when without the trailer they don't you need to replace the flasher with a bigger one. I have no idea why they sell trucks with a too small flasher. The old one is located on the left of the steering column under the dash it is square. Pull it out and put in the new one.
I have the exact same problem on my 1992 chevy silverado, except at the same time the brake lights stay on too, I think I have a short in my wires because it only happens when I drive in wet conditions or if I run over a puddle. I'm going to buy new turn signal bulbs and see if they help at all, if they don't I need some new bulbs anyway.
I have a question I have a 2010 Lincoln Town Car I have all 4 turn signal lights go bad at 1 time solid blinker light eliminates like a break light but won’t click at all. Will one bulb cause the other 4 bulbs to not function front and back?
This freaked me out when it happened to me but only because I'm used to cars where the blinker blinks really fast when a bulb dies. Had a looming sense of dread when it just didn't blink at all. The signals on my 95 Buick was working today and make another turn around the corner and it went out to solid signal. Right bulb is dimmer than the other on the front signals. I'll get new bulbs Friday and maybe the flasher as well didn't hear the click, click no more when it quit.

I unplugged my headlights and ran them by toggle switch and then this started happening... wonder if the bulbs just coincidentally went out or if the wiring doesn't like that I completely cut the headlights off and wired them differently

@@vcummins can't remember lol. It's def an electrical issue; something extra is connecting that shouldn't, or the bulb may be bad. I would replace the relay in the side fuse panel, & check your bulb & bulb socket for rust
Smitty's channel follow up, I found the culprit, the grounding wire had a bad connection on the wiring harness on my front driver side signal light. Light is also no longer dim.

Same problem to me. And the reason is in flasher relay current does not discharge properly due to one or two bulbs short. So relay does not work properly.
What if all signals out side work fine but the dash doesn't blink? I have a 79 el camino and all turn signals work outside but right signal on the dash was blinking funny and would stop blinking now the dash blink on the right doesn't click or blink but on the outside everything works fine lol. Hi moms got a 93 jeep cherokee larado the left turn signal comes on. just it does't blink she has to make it blink by moving the switch. She is kinda afraid to mess with the wiring because the Lafesafer interlock www.lifesafer.com is installed and if we disconnect something it might lose power or tampering violation meaning when she go's in to have it reset every month the Lifesafer interlock will think she tampered with it so she can drive without blowing. if you disconnect like the battery that device knows it. and it will be reported as a tampering violation

you have a light out or a short some were.. to check the lights id replace the bulbs one at a time swapping them out if the problem persists its not that bulb replace with the original one and move to the next one. if its a short.. you gonna have to visit a shop could be simple or costly.

+Jamar Jackson yup it wasnt non of fixing the bulbs or the switches. It that the whole fuse box under the dash it messed up so you have to find a new one that works good and it the same number. You have the same problem
+Jamar Jackson i havent fix the problem because it so hard to find one what i did to it it i switch the burned fuses for new onces and it hasnt gotten messed up, you have to fix that as soon as you can or that still will keep on happening and it anoying to keep on replacing the fuses

AsassinProdigyX for me, my mechanic told me it was the entire lamp assembly, pretty sure I can get it done with around $70 as he bought the piece for 50 something and it will take no time to pop it in. Not bad considering how I never pay points into my speech skill.

It's not a defect, it's a "feature" That light not blinking is intentional to tell you you have a bulb out... before you get a ticket.

you have something faulty or a short.. id try replacing the bulbs first... if that doesn't work it could be a short or a problem in the switch.
I KNEW I could find the answer here. This will be fixed on my day off tomorrow!

usually a bulb on that side of the car is faulty..even if still illuminated its having issues. try swapping them out with new ones

Currently both side on my 1990 gmc c1500 staying solid but all bulbs work. Hazards blink too I think it’s a ground fault
