I was not mentally prepared for 2 Enuma Elish back to back because of Dantes cancelling his buffs

Remember that Summer Yu is a Welfare anti-Male Lancer. I almost one shot Gil with her.
She was clutch ❤
If you can field her, Qin Linagyu is a really solid anchor character with the dmg ce. With that and her own guts, she has 3 guts, and if you're using Atlas that's 4 turns of quality time with Gil and considering his hit counts you should be able to get her NP up. That said her np makes her crits purge buffs so you'll have to be ready for Enuma Elish. I used her as an anchor for my main run and she outlasted him.
Then for the funny haha team I roided up Hijikata and just destroyed him. 2.1 million dmg on Shinsengumi despite the huge NP dmg debuff
If nothing else, I like that this quest properly makes Gil out to be one of the strongest and annoying Servants to deal with.
It never fails, no matter what fgo video im watching, if im watching it on my phone I always try and tap to skip death animations
Finally, my lancer ga shinda team has a chance to shine
Had fun with the Morgan-Merlin-Castoria team, definitely had blast trading blows with the King of Heroes.

I severally overestimated that NP down debuff. Easily deleted him with Scáthach
Melusine using the ultimate shield...... artoria faces as gil definitely targets them first
if you notice on a video Castoria takes one of his attacks away with a CC.
I had a similar experience with Oberon: purging offensive buffs doesn't trigger a retaliation.
Enkidu is actually extremely good for this quest. Not only does he have the strongest ST noble phantasm at NP1, he also binds Gil constantly. He can’t remove his buffs, but he can destroy him before he has a chance to snowball.
Also, his QQQ brave chain makes it rain stars that Gil can’t remove. He’s great.
yeah he absolutely demolished AUO, problem was that his buster cards refused to show up for three turns in a row so I was left with only his np to deal major damage despite having the potential to nuke gil to kingdom come with double vitch buster brave chains
@@tsurugi5 He actually works great solo since his stun can help to delay Gil's NP if you're waiting for his evade to cooldown. His deck also generates enough ambient stars to crit during your non-NP turns.
I got him with Lancer Yu Mei Ren. He got to use his NP like once before she got him. first try too
You can also solo him with lancer kiyohime, that's an option.
Beat this one with Salome.
Crazy how easy these cqs are years on when once they were the height of difficulty in this game.
as long as you can get two of melusine's cards and one of them is a buster, the standard double koyan oberon farmcomp can body his ass on the third turn (disclaimer: with event damage CE)
I three turned him with my exact Melusine 90+ node farming team. No real changes, other than that I went heavy on the buffs. She was equipped with an MLB event damage CE, so +200% damage.
My turn order was, go in with ST NP first turn, pop all her buffs, AoE NP. Second turn, double Koyanskaya skill 1s, Melusine skill 3 again, AoE NP. Third turn, you do need to have cards for her, but given the simplicity of the set-up, fishing for it shouldn't be that onerous. So, popped all the remaining Koyo buffs, swapped Oberon in, popped all his buffs, popped whichever other Melusine buffs came off CD, and then the Code's damage buff for good measure, NPQB chain with 100% crit rate, the NP did around 600 damage, the Buster crit brought him down to *50K* damage remaining, and her Extra attack finished him off. Even if that had failed, the other two probably could have face-carded him down at that point, and I didn't have a decent replacement attacker in the backline, but could have, so the only RNG is making sure you get at least one Buster card in wave 3, ideally with a brave chain. My Melusine is nothing fancy either, BTW, just level 90, NP1, 10/8/10 skills, +1000 fous but no gold Fous.
Melusine combined with an MLB Three-Legged Race is amazing against Gil. I just face carded the centaurs, and once it was Gil's turn I was able to do 3 consecutive Innocence Arondights. Gil never even got the chance to fire off Enuma Elish.
I tried to do this with a Roma meme team, where I tried to take advantage of his insta-NP mechanic to kill off the supports. Problem is I didn't know erasing your NP gauge wasn't just a one-time deal on entry because the GP page _helpfully_ didn't say that. I gave up trying to make him Roman, and just soloed him with Clayboy.
Funny thing is his NP hits worse than a wet noodle without the buffs. It took back-to-back NPs, which I didn't expect either, to kill off both supports. Meanwhile, Quirinus took both and still had plenty of HP left.
Grand Roma with Double koyanskaya +plugsute and a bunch of baits using the kingprotia strategy can make you kill him with just 1 buster card
I struggled so hard at first, then said f**k it! I leveled up my Grand Lancer Roma's skills and did everything in my power to grind his ass to a pulp! He did die, but after fufilling his purpose Summer Tammy came in clutch!
One Skadi charged Anti-fling Rondo quickly dispatched Gil
I just used Arjuna alter buster crits to put him down in 2 turns. Funny thing is I used his np on the last turn just to get a brave chain and it still did a good 300k
My NP1 Summer Tamamo kicked Gil's golden balls so hard that he died in one turn lol. Again, Double Koyanskaya + Oberon is busted

It was really funny to double Koyan Oberon to roid up Summer Tammy and bust up Gil's balls to the stratosphere in a single NP despite the NP Debuff.
The King of Heroes met the Queen of CBT.
I just went ahead and two-shot him with Summer Yu + MLB event CE and double Skadi, the brave chain helped her get another NP up on the first use.
Papa Rome destroyed Gilgamesh with the help of Himiko, Quirinus is terrifying with guaranteed crits
Melusine with 2x koyan and Oberon made it a 3 turn clear

I just duked it out with my Grand Archer Super Orion to show Gilgamesh who the best archer in the game is. XD
My NP 5 Shisho, even with the NP debuff was able to 1 shot him.
My solution?
"Tamamo grab your swimsuit! You, Koyan, Merlin and Oberon are about to teach Gil what true pain is!"
In short, buster crit his ass, after absolutly ignoring his np mechanic with an Oberon powered Ball Busting for, i believe it was 700,000 damage or somewhere around there. He never stood a chance.
Problems for me facing gil-
-dont have support servants
-koyanskaya and castoria in my friend support cannot use nps i dont know why
-hero skills are underlevelled
Would just use Cu Lancer.
If your supports can’t use NPs, then those folks weren’t on your friends list.

Honestly og Cu with the event damage limit broken CE solos this pretty easily. To be fair, mine was grailed to 100 and full skill levels, but even so I cleared it with enough leeway that I could have done it with a level 70 Cu.
Yeah a Lored lvl 70 Cu can handle this quest easily. Just waste the turns of the debuff with generic taunters and Gil can be killed consistently. I have a budget run of this CQ with the worse version of the event CE (and before notable Cu buffs obviously) on my channel if you need proof of concept.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Event Damage stack in the same bracket as NP Damage Up/Down? In that case, the Event Damage CE should basically just wash out the NP Damage Down debuff, right?
Event dmg is different from NP dmg.
However the 3 goddess CE for this event has 20% NP dmg up which actually is kinda broken in this quest since it directly counteracts the debuff noticeably.
@@A2ZOMG It's different, but it's in the same buff bracket, like how Attack Up and Defense Down are in the same bracket. It's why you see people recommend you don't use Tamamo to push damage for arts attackers when an event has an event damage CE.
@@thepersonwhocomentz all I'm gonna say is the damage difference between original Gil quest and current one is extremely huge when you remember the original dmg CE aside from being split stat also didn't offer NP damage. Event damage multiplies EVERYTHING ELSE except flat damage. So the end result is your ST NPs do more like 200k rather than essentially nothing.
I am disappointed in the lack of One Punch Martha memes in this guide.

My Melusine just shredded this man lol.

Pro tip: solo him using a friend 10/10/10 Enkidu with event CE. Got it done in like 3 turns
As Fate Lore expands, Gil's Moniker as the Strongest Summonable Servant doesn't really hold that much weight anymore, turning him into a Big fish in a Small pond

Nasu literally said this Mutiple times he's the strongest and that was after a lot of your so called "stronger" servants" were released. The very writer himself and even then we have his one day killing the fsn cast feat nasu also said he could do back when fgo wasn't a thing.
Plus in lore he traveled the planets too. Gil still has a massive amount of things he hasn't shown yet and I'd think strange fake would have shown a fraction of this to people. Guess not. I'll wait for ccc anime then. Really feels like people want to take him down a peg rather than remember how his entire kit works with future sight auto shields enuma elish and sword spam to name a few things

Soloing this with Qin Liangyu is the funniest thing ever. She removes his buffs on crit, which means he will NP when you crit and it's not even that scary because Gil does pitiful damage against her. She can facetank 2 no problem
