Summer Skadi is my priority so I'm waiting for her and Wu's banners to drop before I consider Avalon's banner. I don't really plan on rolling for her as I do have Merlin. They're so close to the same kit I should make it with him fine enough. Ibuki I never planned on for so good luck with that NP6 for the Raita collection.
I've contemplated a lot whether to pick Summer Skadi or Ibuki... But since my Sushi is already nearing bond 15 I opted for the latter and 700 quarts later, I barely got NP2. I'll try to scrounge up some quarts and try my luck in getting Skadi until the banner ends.
Summer Skadi is first for me. I already sunk 200 quartz into lady avalon and while I would love her, I just got Merlin so I don't feel a desperate need to get her. I REALLY want Summer Ibuki, especially after the summer event story. So Skadi > Ibuki np2. If I feel a desperate need, there's always GSSRs/destiny order/next year's banners.
The actual reason she’s a pretender, hardly mentioned in the event actually, is that she’s simply pretending to be Merlin’s little sister and not Proto Merlin. With the implication that blowing her cover will cause her to disappear.
I mean, she starts the event saying she's never heard of Merlin, then refers to Merlin as "Him" (How did she know?) then claims she's his little sister. Something don't add up.

Fino, you forgot to mention the most important application: Triple Merlin System! Jokes aside, one big perk of Lady Avalon for me is that I'm doing a Castoria-less challenge for story and challenge content (outside LB6), and having another prime Arts support along with Tamamo, Xu Fu, and Lan Ling is great. Heck, Merlin/Tamamo is such a powerhouse support system I've actually run them in Arts and Buster teams despite the color mismatch, so being able to fully synergize on card type is amazing.
See, I told myself that having double premium supports for a card type without having to get near the friends list was a better boon for my account than a differently flavored (albeit very good) version of Merlin, and so I should secure Skadi first, but I have no self control so I waved goodbye to 300 quartz for Lady Avalon on night 1.
For me now, Proto Merlin is a party staple something Merlin never was for me since I got him Post Castoria, except for CQ. Her NP gain is so much better (starting at 100 3 enemy wave aside) and while it’s a shame her Buffs are 3 turns they’re not a problem for me personally.
NP9 Summer Gareth before rolling NP1 Lady Avalon. By some miracle I got NP1 Summer Erice and NP1 Ibuki. I am completely tapped out of Quartz and now carry a thorough loathing of Gareth.
Whelp, now I have a use for my accidental NP3 Proto Merlin. Somehow, someway, I managed to cop her at that level with only 60SQ and 2 tickets, plus a bonus Tametomo.
One of my biggest issues was my inability to get Castoria, which meant before this event, I was relegated to using Nero Bride and Tamamo to get a decent number of Arts buffs needed to loop. Now with Xu Fu and Lady Avalon, I can much more reliably do so, not even potentially needing Lady Avalon outside of the fact that I simply prefer the defensive playstyle. Since Xu Fu provides basically everything that a looper needs on a slightly smaller scale, I can power mod with Tamamo more effectively, and if the stars align properly, potentially even go from Xu Fu to Tamamo to Oberon for major NP Damage buff shenanigans.
😂 May I suggest making a dedicated guide on the Immortal Team? You keep sprinkling in tips and tactics in seperate videos like here and Morgan's without going deep on the inner workings of a standard composition. I think people would appreciate a video on candidates for the main DPS (Himiko, Morgan, Qin Shi Huang) and what each of them brings to the table, which Merlin copliments each DPS the most, some suggestion on what other Servants could fit the backline in case Merlin/ Castoria die, when to change gears from "Protect Castoria Mode" to "burst them down", maybe a case study on a typical fight where the immortal team shines like the Kingprotea battle. I think such a video would be really interesting.
Got np1 proto-merl, haven't looked into her skills and np effects, but sounds like I might be able to make her and Merlin into a bizarre support combo for a quick team, so that'll be a bit of fun to play with.
Happy to say I got ProtoMeme in 2 multis and Summer Snek NP3 in the span of 360 SQ which is a miracle, finally have a generalist farmer after years of trying and it's so damn cathartic, time to bond farm Snek for the funny 120.
Well theres a new addition to my immortal roster. It started as Waver, Jeanne, Mash, then Tamamo came in making the team nearly impossible to kill, Merlin popped up some time later, and now Proto Merlin has jumped into the mix... Time to farm QP again.
Personally I much prefer OG Merlin in the standard immortal comps of Morgan/Himiko, because I just enjoy going a little faster with the massive buster burst turns. I only rolled for Summer Ibuki and Summer Skadi myself, don't think I can justify spending more SQ on Avalon due to being such a niche pick over regular Merlin. I'd probably just run her as like an Arts crit support with 2030 if anything.
So far, NP2 Ibuki & NP1 Lady Avalon. Saving rest of sq to attempt Summer Skadi - then up NP on Ibuki with anything that's left. My very first roll of Summer was miserable however... NP3 Gareth in one roll.
Lady Avalon is really strong and vital support for me, I have been speed running the lostbelt stories the moment I got her, paired with Castoria and Summer Ibuki is just a very OP team..
I was able to get NP3 Lady Avalon during my rolls and am very glad I did. Plus I got Merlin in the recent GSSR and used him in a roll ritual (along with the other servants that fit this event). Plus I got summer ibuki NP2 and now I've got a arts berserker farming servant.
A lot of my fave fgotubers hate on her a lot. And true, Summer Skadi is EX rank. But she is still an amazing support for the likes of Muramasa, Astraea and even Kiara. I do agree that she is a luxury servant. Her mat requirements are INSANE.
That's why I skipped her since I have Merlin. She's so good at Arts Crit Team and the overcharge at her 2nd skill. The only problem I have on her: She's like Merlin as her NP scales more with NP Gain per Turn though I prefer OG Merlin's HP Recovery per turn than her Max HP per turn
Out of 300 SQ, I've gotten NP 2 summer Gareth, Lady Avalon, and Summer Ibuki. I've still got 400 SQ to roll for Ruler Skadi. So I'm big happy with this summer event, even if I don't get Erice.
Got her in one roll. I normally call the extra-class servants pretty easily but she literally just showed up first time I asked nicely. Now presumably she spends her time giving Arthur a hard time when I'm not looking. lol.
Rolled the remaining 400 SQ on Avalon on release. She came on the LAST multi pull. $80 of SQ went into Ibuki and got NP2. Kiiinda want more Erice, but gonna see what my luck with Skadi looks like first.
Heh, for the regular Immortal Team I'd keep my regular Merlin. Mostly because because you get the bulk of your damage through Morgan's NP and Buster Crits (or Himiko Buster Crits), so Merlin's Hero Creations helps a lot more than an Arts buff imo. I see LA more as a sidegrade (or slight upgrade) to Tamamo for pure Arts stall team, rather than a competition for Merlin in Team Avalon. Not really interested in replacing either my Merlin or Tamamo, so I'll likely skip that banner.
And that's my main problem: I don't have normal Merlin dammit... So my team Avalon is only accessible when I can borrow a friend's Merlin. Now at least I can use Lady Avalon for a Merlin substitute if the quest doesn't let me to borrow Merlin.
She’s used in S Ibuki castoria avalon teams in jp. It’s a faster invincible comp. Gives u an option to the standard Merlin, castoria, himiko/Morgan set up

Instructions not clear, burn all my SQ stacks for NP 1 Lady Avalon, and NP 1 Summer Ibuki (I hit pity). Now I'm left with only 100+ SQ, and a dream for Summer Skadi. At the very least, I have the old Skadi. *dead*
I went hard on the Ibuki banner cuz back in like 2016 I saw a clip of a hentai with a cheerleader and it changed me as a person. Uh anyways, I got about 500 left in the tank for Skadi before I have to use the ol adult card. I want Merlin, but in the end, she's more of a luxury for my account.
After spending 360 SQ to double pull Arcuid, I still had over 500 & 33 Tickets for Lady Avalon & Summer Skadi, only for the Lady Avalon to completely "Drain me dry" & never show up. I did manage to pull 2 Gareths, 2 Qin Liangyu (NP4), another Chevalier d'Eon (NP2) & Yan Qing (NP1). I'm also all set on event CEs. They gave me 14 Cruising Dates! WTF?! Only 4-5 Jiangshi Attacks & 4-5 Twin Tails. First time I ever got to MLB 2 4* CEs and still have 4 copies to spare for the rest of the team. But I still want Lady Avalon! (Sigh), maybe next GSSR. 😟
I ended up getting np3 Ibuki in less than 100 SQ, insane luck. 1st and 2nd multis hit Ibukis, totally floored me lol. I will try for a copy of Skadi tonight, and then Proto Merlin if I have any SQ left. Sitting at 700ish, so I have a decent chance to get both. Np2 Skadi would be really nice, but I was so lucky with Ibuki, I don't want to be greedy and press my luck. Good luck everyone pulling!
Got NP 2 lady Avalon on a single ticket and only used about 5 tickets in total, and I got luckily to get Summer Ibuki NP2 as well. I have been doing damage for grinding event.
It took 2k SQ to get my one copy of Merlin before pity was added. So far, my rolls for Lady Merlin is probably going to result in the same; dragging both wizards out of avalon by their hair.
I’ve spent about 200 sq for Merlina, but all I got was np3 summer Gareth. With 10 tickets and 100 sq, I was able to get one copy of S Ibuki and 2 copies of Erice. Right now my main plan is S Skadi. Have 400 sq remaining for her. If I have any left over, I’ll go for Merlina. But I have both Tamamo and Castoria, so I’m not hurting for Arts support.
Well I got her with thirty or so tickets. I have enough tickets and SQ to hit pity almost twice. My main priority is Skadi but I didn't hesitate rolling for Lady Avalon.
I have Purin in JP from last year's banner and she has at least been good to me in the farming department since I use Summer Melusine as my main farmer.

As someone who got forced into her triyng to roll np5 Gareth I see her as a completly skipeable premium tamamo Yeah sure she can be used to make Castoria gain less bond but overall using SQ for bond benefits is kinda dumb Imo just roll if you like her because as it stands double castoria Oberon is better than going double Castoria Purin for 99% of the cases
Didn't even want Lady Avalon since I already own a Merlin. Did a multi for the lulz and she was the last card. Meanwhile, got NP6 Erice before Ibuki finally showed her fat ass after 500+ quartz. Then it took like 60 more tickets for NP2. Still have about 500 quartz left if I convert all my fragments. Not sure if I'll go for more Ibukis, try for at least 1 Skadi despite not really having invested quick servants or just keep saving for the rest of the year.
you mention how the Immortal Comp cares most about the "3 turn rotation" when it comes to comparing the Merlin NPs, as an argument for why np2 is the break even-ish point. But because Merlin's is 5 turn and stacks with itself, can't you consider the amount of NP OG merlin is generating per 3 turns as 25%? 10+10+5, since you'll get two turns of the last application's effects. That's why NP3 is the "get ahead" point for Avalon, where she flat out generates 26.25% compared to Merlin's 25% AND does it right from the start, vs merlin needing to get his second NP off before he's adding 25% instead of 15% per 3 turns. ...meanwhile we threw 99 rolls in thusfar and haven't seen anyone. waiting for Skadi to appear before we go any further X_X
She took everything i had left from farming SQ at the end of anni, and ibuki ate the rest, at least i got FemLin but hopefully pay day the 1 pack i got budget will give me skadi 😅
I got NP1 Proto Merlin and Ibuki pretty early (under 150sq each) So I’m going to roll for Skadi and then circle back around for a second copy of Proto Merlin if the damage wasn’t too bad
Out of the 3 new Servants for this event I'd say she has the lowest priority, maybe you can even skip her if you already have Merlin, as her main use is providing an alternative for the Immortal Team. Still rolled for her and boy, 500 SQ just for 1 copy of Lady, yikes. Then on a whim I got 2 Summer Ibukis with just 210 SQ. Let's see how expensive of a woman Summer Skadi will be. Depending how that goes I may try to get a third copy of the oni.
Gonna be honest while i get this video. I wish people weren't trying to oversell this girl and rather just talk about which of the ones help your box more for your quarts. Kinda boggles me that we have 3 premiere servants and I havent really seen a type of video discussing whos more worth prioritizing of the bunch when players have boxes that benefit from a variety of card type supports.

Quick I don't like nor have any servant that would justify rolling for s Skadi. The only Raita servant I can look at is Kintoki. So yeah, my only wanted servant this summer was Totally not-Merlin and I got her in less than 120sq. PS: not saying s Skadi or Sibuki are bad or ugly, its just that I either don't need or don't like.
Or use can use supports as DPS's and for support if ur a mad lad I've seen a some comps with Merlin, skadi amd waver can add lady Avalon, then use Kyon assassin and summer skadi as aoe dps

If I'm not mistaken, proto-merlin is called by Drake with in arcade veeeery simply. Beast of the planet. So i suspect a proto-event of a sort, probably connected simultaneously to two beasts. One is someone proto-arthur is hunting and another one will be proto-merlin, probably plotting something like.. Using a sacrifice of another beast as a part of ritual, leaning world completely vulnerable. Also this title doesn't make any sense.

Enkidu? Oh he's a single target crit servant that's very good against bosses, especially those with divine trait. He pairs with crit support, and that's very good for you because summer skadi is the current best crit support.

Out of 300 SQ, I've gotten NP 2 summer Gareth, Lady Avalon, and Summer Ibuki. I've still got 400 SQ to roll for Ruler Skadi. So I'm big happy with this summer event, even if I don't get Erice.
Got her in one roll. I normally call the extra-class servants pretty easily but she literally just showed up first time I asked nicely. Now presumably she spends her time giving Arthur a hard time when I'm not looking. lol.
Lady Avalon is just Arts Merlin but for Arts. That's it.
Rolled the remaining 400 SQ on Avalon on release. She came on the LAST multi pull.
$80 of SQ went into Ibuki and got NP2. Kiiinda want more Erice, but gonna see what my luck with Skadi looks like first.
Heh, for the regular Immortal Team I'd keep my regular Merlin. Mostly because because you get the bulk of your damage through Morgan's NP and Buster Crits (or Himiko Buster Crits), so Merlin's Hero Creations helps a lot more than an Arts buff imo.
I see LA more as a sidegrade (or slight upgrade) to Tamamo for pure Arts stall team, rather than a competition for Merlin in Team Avalon.
Not really interested in replacing either my Merlin or Tamamo, so I'll likely skip that banner.
And that's my main problem: I don't have normal Merlin dammit... So my team Avalon is only accessible when I can borrow a friend's Merlin. Now at least I can use Lady Avalon for a Merlin substitute if the quest doesn't let me to borrow Merlin.

She’s used in S Ibuki castoria avalon teams in jp. It’s a faster invincible comp. Gives u an option to the standard Merlin, castoria, himiko/Morgan set up

I went hard on the Ibuki banner cuz back in like 2016 I saw a clip of a hentai with a cheerleader and it changed me as a person. Uh anyways, I got about 500 left in the tank for Skadi before I have to use the ol adult card. I want Merlin, but in the end, she's more of a luxury for my account.
Well, I now have an np2 Lady Avalon and I never had a Merlin. So... Yeah.
I went shoulder deep for Summer Ibuki, max Erice before one Ibuki
After spending 360 SQ to double pull Arcuid, I still had over 500 & 33 Tickets for Lady Avalon & Summer Skadi, only for the Lady Avalon to completely "Drain me dry" & never show up. I did manage to pull 2 Gareths, 2 Qin Liangyu (NP4), another Chevalier d'Eon (NP2) & Yan Qing (NP1). I'm also all set on event CEs. They gave me 14 Cruising Dates! WTF?! Only 4-5 Jiangshi Attacks & 4-5 Twin Tails. First time I ever got to MLB 2 4* CEs and still have 4 copies to spare for the rest of the team. But I still want Lady Avalon! (Sigh), maybe next GSSR. 😟
I ended up getting np3 Ibuki in less than 100 SQ, insane luck. 1st and 2nd multis hit Ibukis, totally floored me lol. I will try for a copy of Skadi tonight, and then Proto Merlin if I have any SQ left. Sitting at 700ish, so I have a decent chance to get both. Np2 Skadi would be really nice, but I was so lucky with Ibuki, I don't want to be greedy and press my luck. Good luck everyone pulling!

Got NP 2 lady Avalon on a single ticket and only used about 5 tickets in total, and I got luckily to get Summer Ibuki NP2 as well. I have been doing damage for grinding event.
It took 2k SQ to get my one copy of Merlin before pity was added. So far, my rolls for Lady Merlin is probably going to result in the same; dragging both wizards out of avalon by their hair.
I’ve spent about 200 sq for Merlina, but all I got was np3 summer Gareth.
With 10 tickets and 100 sq, I was able to get one copy of S Ibuki and 2 copies of Erice.
Right now my main plan is S Skadi. Have 400 sq remaining for her. If I have any left over, I’ll go for Merlina.
But I have both Tamamo and Castoria, so I’m not hurting for Arts support.
Well I got her with thirty or so tickets. I have enough tickets and SQ to hit pity almost twice. My main priority is Skadi but I didn't hesitate rolling for Lady Avalon.
So far so good. Two banners two wins, only Quick Quenn left. Good Luck to all Masters!
OG Merlin also has strengths over Lady Avalon.
I tried using lady avalon on my JP account, and I think one of the best immortal team is to pair lady avalon with summer castoria, and castoria.
The one that doesn't need NP5 to barely function is better, i would hazard a guess.
I have Purin in JP from last year's banner and she has at least been good to me in the farming department since I use Summer Melusine as my main farmer.

i got super lucky and got her twice in 180sq alongside with 7 gareths
The 7 Gareths really push this over the edge if true, seems like a 1/10.000 outcome if not even lower.

As someone who got forced into her triyng to roll np5 Gareth I see her as a completly skipeable premium tamamo
Yeah sure she can be used to make Castoria gain less bond but overall using SQ for bond benefits is kinda dumb
Imo just roll if you like her because as it stands double castoria Oberon is better than going double Castoria Purin for 99% of the cases

Didn't even want Lady Avalon since I already own a Merlin. Did a multi for the lulz and she was the last card. Meanwhile, got NP6 Erice before Ibuki finally showed her fat ass after 500+ quartz. Then it took like 60 more tickets for NP2.
Still have about 500 quartz left if I convert all my fragments. Not sure if I'll go for more Ibukis, try for at least 1 Skadi despite not really having invested quick servants or just keep saving for the rest of the year.
you mention how the Immortal Comp cares most about the "3 turn rotation" when it comes to comparing the Merlin NPs, as an argument for why np2 is the break even-ish point. But because Merlin's is 5 turn and stacks with itself, can't you consider the amount of NP OG merlin is generating per 3 turns as 25%? 10+10+5, since you'll get two turns of the last application's effects. That's why NP3 is the "get ahead" point for Avalon, where she flat out generates 26.25% compared to Merlin's 25% AND does it right from the start, vs merlin needing to get his second NP off before he's adding 25% instead of 15% per 3 turns.
...meanwhile we threw 99 rolls in thusfar and haven't seen anyone. waiting for Skadi to appear before we go any further X_X
She took everything i had left from farming SQ at the end of anni, and ibuki ate the rest, at least i got FemLin but hopefully pay day the 1 pack i got budget will give me skadi 😅

I got NP1 Proto Merlin and Ibuki pretty early (under 150sq each) So I’m going to roll for Skadi and then circle back around for a second copy of Proto Merlin if the damage wasn’t too bad
Out of the 3 new Servants for this event I'd say she has the lowest priority, maybe you can even skip her if you already have Merlin, as her main use is providing an alternative for the Immortal Team. Still rolled for her and boy, 500 SQ just for 1 copy of Lady, yikes. Then on a whim I got 2 Summer Ibukis with just 210 SQ. Let's see how expensive of a woman Summer Skadi will be. Depending how that goes I may try to get a third copy of the oni.

Gonna be honest while i get this video. I wish people weren't trying to oversell this girl and rather just talk about which of the ones help your box more for your quarts. Kinda boggles me that we have 3 premiere servants and I havent really seen a type of video discussing whos more worth prioritizing of the bunch when players have boxes that benefit from a variety of card type supports.

Quick I don't like nor have any servant that would justify rolling for s Skadi. The only Raita servant I can look at is Kintoki.
So yeah, my only wanted servant this summer was Totally not-Merlin and I got her in less than 120sq.
PS: not saying s Skadi or Sibuki are bad or ugly, its just that I either don't need or don't like.

I don’t really know, but my headcanon is that Proto-Merlin is her worlds beast 4, but since she doesn’t actually love humanity she cannot yet become a beast.
Wouldn't that make her a Beast Candidate instead like our own Merlin ? He too is a Beast Candidate. Thank God either way they aren't Beasts. Merlin is a terrifying individual to have as your enemy.

So i suspect a proto-event of a sort, probably connected simultaneously to two beasts. One is someone proto-arthur is hunting and another one will be proto-merlin, probably plotting something like.. Using a sacrifice of another beast as a part of ritual, leaning world completely vulnerable.

Enkidu? Oh he's a single target crit servant that's very good against bosses, especially those with divine trait. He pairs with crit support, and that's very good for you because summer skadi is the current best crit support.

What I don't get is why Miyu doesn't work in the immortal team. She has as much np gain per turn on her np as proto Merlin has at np5.
