    I have had three of these. One was a replacement by Logitech. The issue is that the Powerplay will generate EMF interference while in the charging state, as indicated by the White LED on the pad receiver. I have the G903 Mouse, G910 Keyboard, and the Powerplay. I also use a Logitech MX Master 3 and Performance MX for productivity most of the time. I noticed the mouse cursor while using any other wireless mouse like the MX Master 3 or Performance MX was jittering, and I could not control it while the Powerplay was in the charge state!
    As soon as the charge state ended or I unplugged the Powerplay, the cursor would return to normal. As soon as the Powerplay returned to the charging state, the cursor would become erratic again! I also noticed the G903 generated a jittery mouse cursor while the Powerplay was in a charged state. It was not as bad as when using the MXM3, and I could select items, but the cursor was jittering until the charge state ended.
    So Logitech sent me a replacement Powerplay, and it had the same issue! Because I use my productivity Logitech mice the most, I would unplug the Powerplay pad to prevent the problem from occurring. When I wanted to game and use the G903 mouse, I would plug the Powerplay back in.
    Fast forward a few months, and I started to play Elden Ring on PC using an Xbox controller. I noticed intermittent issues with menu control. When trying to select or scroll through a menu using the Xbox controller, I could not choose anything, and it would jump around! At first, I thought this was a new game patch issue, but it continued to occur, and then I noticed the game was jittering slightly only on the monitor I was playing Elden Ring. When this issue remained after several patches, I discovered the Powerplay was causing the problem when it was in a charge state! Like the mice, the issue would disappear once I disconnected the Powerplay USB cable or stopped charging.
    I connected the USB connection directly to my desktop and other USB ports, but the issue persists. All device Firmware and G-Hub software are up to date. I even purchased a third Powerplay pad from BestBuy, hoping Logitech may have changed something, but the issue continues even on the newest Powerplay. The Powerplay produces some EMF that impacts other wireless devices, speakers, and monitors. I am not sure how the Powerplay is affecting my monitor. Still, it is only occurring on the monitor I am playing Elden Ring on, leading me to conclude the interface is coming through the Xbox controller and maybe producing micro character movement, which looks like screen jittering on my monitor.
    I have contacted Logitech again regarding this issue. I have not seen many reviewers reporting this, but I believe this is because most owners only use a Logitech G Mouse, so they do not know the impact on other wireless devices. However, there are a few reviewers who, like me, use different wireless devices and are experiencing the same issue.
    Edit: I have noticed my Panasonic wireless home phone has had interference for some time now. This wasn't always the case, and If I move away from my desk with the Powerplay, it goes away! It occurred to me that the Powerplay might also impact this phone. Sure enough, if I unplug the Powerplay mouse pad, all my home phone interference disappears!
    There is a Powerplay Charging Enable option in the G Hub Powerplay options section that will only work with Powerplay Firmware 7.1.11. G Hub will NOT update the Powerplay Firmware through the built-in update process, and you have to do this manually to update the Fireware to 7.1.11 to enable this option! With no help from Logitech support, I think I figured out a fix.
    You have to use the Logitech POWERPLAY Wireless Charging System Update Tool under downloads for the Powerplay device to actually update the Powerplay Firmware to version 7.1.11 to get the option to disable. Powerplay Charging! You can now disable Powerplay Charging until required, and it will not impact other devices. I am still checking this works and will update later. Good luck.

    Why not just make a mouse that could power itself on the Movement? For example with the good old sphere serving as a electric rotor with magnets do renerate variable magnetic field on movement thus genersting an electric current fo feed the electronics? Thia way the mouse is not even dependent on special mouse pads

    • @marius5311
      @marius5311 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Pedro Guedes I dont think tiny mouse movements would be enough to generate sufficient voltage to power the mouse , there is also the friction between the sphere and the mouse pad which wouldnt feel nice (ofc the old mouses werent that bad in terms of friction but still I would rather use wired mouse than one with a sphere in it )

    • @BattousaiHBr
      @BattousaiHBr 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's theoretically possible, however the energy output of such methods is *very* low, which to work would require the energy draw of the mice to be even lower than that, which right now isn't feasible.

    Since I cannot reach your helpdesk, and I can't actually contact anyone via your website or phone or anywhere, any way or any how, I'll just leave this here.
    I have bought an X52 HOTAS stick, and at first the display didn't light up, and showed no relevant information as it should, as advertised.
    The solution to this turned out to be to install specialized drivers, which when I opened the program, turned out to be nothing but a Facebook page for Logitech, and a few links to the Logitech website, Twitter, Facebook and other things that are COMPLETELY UNNEEDED, IRRELEVANT, AND UNWANTED in drivers for a gaming flightstick.
    I had to try to uninstall this piece of bloatware FOUR times, before it actually went away and stayed away. The throttle display did keep working, and that's nice, were it not that the clock on it displays the wrong time, and the only settings I am able to find for that, don't actually make any difference. No matter how often I set the time to GMT +1, it keeps on reverting to GMT.
    It's not like you guys are new to the business of gaming hardware, I've used Logitech sticks, steering wheels and speakers for years now. WHY is it so hard to get stuff to ... I dunno, work? Perhaps your programmers should look for employment elsewhere, like getting a job as a farmer's assistant, or a train conductor. Perhaps taxi driver? That will most likely be something they're more suitable for, since programming apparently isn't their thing.
    It's not like it's the first driver problem I ever had with Logitech, I still remember the update for my Gran Turismo racing wheel that was convinced it was a completely different model, and I had to get help from a friend to trick into getting a previous version of the drivers, which of course wasn't readily available from Logitech itself.
    I know one thing, if this stick didn't feel so nice (let's hope it's gonna last longer than the very short time I was able to enjoy my previous two logitech sticks before the hardware failed and buttons simply broke or broke off entirely with normal use) I'd have rather even gone for a Trust product.
    I also know this is the very very last time I ever buy anything with the Logitech logo on it.
    Regards, a previously huge Logitech fan but now very unsatisfied customer.
    Seriously. Fuck your shit quality.

    weird that you guys put so much thought into this but you made the mouse pad so small that very few if any high level gamers would be able to use the mouse pad. Its a pretty major oversight given almost all high level gamers are using lower sensitivity. And unfortunately the large receiver and USB port on it dont make it possible to slide it under a bigger mouse pad either. on top of that you have the odd choice to make every product in the box a different thickness. If the 2 included mouse pads had the same thickness as the charging based they could be spread out to create a larger surface to put under a larger mouse pad. The other unusual choice was not to make a wrap around RGB ring for such an expensive mouse pad. If you were going to make a smaller mouse pad then clearly it was targeted more at casual players, and in that case more of them would have liked an RGB ring, plus it would have been very little extra to add that. Taking 4 years to overlook the most basic function of a mouse pad, the size is kinda sad really.

      Do yourself a favour and don't try razer. It'll fall apart. I've had 5 of their products, 2 of them I had replaced 3 times each (so 11 all up) and every one was junk and physically broke.
      Meanwhile here I am with an MX Revolution I bought 11 years ago - it was so good I bought two more and all three are still working great - and that's after enduring 80 hour weeks as a software developer writing code and flying around the country in airline baggage, and then coming home and abusing that one by being the 'TV mouse' and having food dropped on it and stepped on. And that's just the beginning of it. Logi earned their reputation with me.
      Clicky keyboards aren't the best for gaming, they interfere with the sound, it's a disadvantage in competitive games. All your mates on chat will complain about the noise, it's bad for streaming for the same reason... Still, options are nice! I hope they make a romer-g clicky for you, it's a great switch.

    Great pioneer in the field. However, there are obvious downsides as this is a new type of mice. This is basically a wireless mouse that can only work on a specific mousepad and nothing else. This is thus far more limiting than more traditional options. But there is potential in increasing the magnetic field and have a transmitter, say, under the desk rather than directly below the mouse, that would make this perfect. But we're just not there yet.

    • @pablogonzalezhermosilla4210
      @pablogonzalezhermosilla4210 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rusty Cog nope, you can literally use whatever mouse pad u want as the charging pad is NOT the one used for the mice. Yoy need to put ANOTHER pad above the charging pad and it works with every single mouse pad i have tried (6). The only downside is that the chargin pad may be too little to some ppl so a bigger mouse pad will fall from the sides.

    • @AwesomeBrothersShow
      @AwesomeBrothersShow 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pablo González Hermosilla this is a bandaid solution. you can't use a bigger mousepad the way you can with any other type of mouse. what I meant is a transmitter of much bigger size that is mounted under the desk so you can use any mousepad or no mousepad at all. could even double as a phone charger.

      true.
      however, even in the case of putting it under your desk, it simply wouldn't work depending on what your desk is made of (ie. metal).

    Sure it's possible. Needed at all?! NOOOOO. Work on proper lightweight wireless mice. 80-95g mice. Scrue this tiny expensive pad. Plug your mouse into the pc every other day and itll never run out. Wasted tech
