@@KingofKran To be absolute fair, the pokemon in the manga are much more like wild animals, which resulted in them being used as military weapons, too (to kill people and other Pokemon of course). And it was not told how many people where killed because of the destroyed city from Lance and his Dragonite.
@Cyanwasserstoff They're also essentially officially endorsed fan fiction, none of that is remotely canon to the series. It was only said the manga was closest to what they imagined, not that it was particularly accurate. That being said, its not all raptors, just one, hence every other one got killed. I never wanted a JP character to die more than Nick. Even the horribly written support chars in JW2 are an annoyance at most, but Nick is just... aggravating.
@@Soul93Taker As much as I hate Nick as a character, in recent years I've realized that his arc may have been intentional by either Spielberg or the writers, and it has given me a newfound respect for the writing. One stark contrast between JP and TLW is that JP is morally a black-and-white film. In the first JP, you know who the heroes are and you know who the villains are just by first glance. TLW, on the other hand, is very much a morally grey movie by design. I mean look at Tembo, by all accounts he should be a villain (he works with the bad guys, he's intimidating, he hunts and kills animals for sport) but his character is the most chivalrous and charming of the movie (hell, after Dieter gets the worst death ever, Tembo tells the others not to let Kelly know any of this, worried that it may further traumatize her after Eddie's death). Now look at Nick. He should be a good guy, right?! He's tall, handsome, loves animals, cares about the environment and is teamed with our other good guys. ...and yet, he's kinda stupid, is prone to starting fights with the Ingen hunters, admits he only started his eco-phase cuz of the hot women, and, uh, what was it?!....oh yeah, his bullet-snatching shenanigans caused the deaths of a dozen or more people at least, including Eddie (R.I.P. my dude) after his stunt with the baby rex brought the parents right to them. By all accounts, Nick and Roland Tembo are ying and yang. I like to think TLW was trying to show that in any narrative, being teamed up with the good guys doesn't always make you a morally good character and vice versa, and Nick is a perfect example of that. It really adds some thought-provoking ideas and complex concepts to a story and keeps bringing people to discuss these ideas with others. It's part of why I think JP has lasted as a fanbase for so long, wouldn't you say?
@@alexanderbell7651 Indeed, it's one of the strongest points for me to actually like the movie: how they give you a new perspective on good/bad side by making you realize the 'bad' guys are not always so. Every time i've watched this movie i feel outright disturbed at how Nick plans to leave like two dozen men, who most likely have families back home, stranded on an uncharted island with very dangerous animals for the sake of 'ecology'. Yes i hate him, but for the good reasons unlike many characters of today's films i grew to hate for the wrong reasons, like being flat, uninteresting, mary/gary sues or outright crappy from the get go.
Roland Tembo was one my most favourite characters. His first speech to Ludlow in Site B really nails it. I wish this scene of Roland shooting a velociprator was in Lost World.
3:46 Bang! lol. made me jump. Bravo Sir. This scene would have made TLW even more of a masterpiece. Roland was one hell of a character. I'd loved to have seen him and Muldoon in the same flick, can you imagine if Muldoon had survived the raptor attack?
What if, in Jurassic World 3, Owen, Claire, Maise and maybe some other character are in a similar situation and then this happens. I would love to see Roland Tembo in Jurassic World 3 but it probably won't happen.
When I watched the first trailers of Fallen Kingdom, I was hyped because I believed that Ken Wheatley is gonna be the Roland Tembo of the JW Trilogy, however when the film came out I was deeply disappointed that he was just some cliche asshole military villain.
Also right!? Took em long enough to full on shoot down dinos they treehugged alot in the original trilogy and did the same a bit in the comics and games granted a little bias with the carnivores that did piss me off a bit but still!
Yeah, one of my few complaints with the original trilogy (well, more than a few for #3) was that anytime someone had a gun, it was almost immediately lost somehow leaving the humans defenseless. Of course I understand why this was done, but it got a but repetitive, which is something I found so refreshing about JW.
I mean guns in JW were kind of a joke, they practically didn't kill anything. For me it felt too much like a Godzilla ripoff when they were shooting the dinosaurs. Just countless magazines spent, dinosaurs are made outta kevlar... I was kinda fine without seeing guns in real action in the early movies for the exact reason that they'd either be realistic and end the show rather quickly, or they'd be unrealistically underpowered to the point where the park security staff are more defenseless than visitors because their equipment is useless without them knowing it. Sure was new in Jurassic titles, but if you watch any other horror movie you'll realise it's basically cliché for "bad creatures" to have some plot armor against bullets just so the film doesn't end too quickly. Despite everything, I still love the whole Jurassic franchise, even if I like certain films better in it than others. If I went ahead and hated World for the reason that some aspects are unrealistic, that'd just be retarded. It's been science-fiction all along. So yeah, don't get me wrong, I like JW too. Even the badly received JWFK had its good moments, the opening scene was for example probably one of my favourite scenes in the entire Jurassic Franchise, definitely one of the most thrilling, atmospheric scenes in it IMO, and it really gave back some of that old JP feel.
Roland to me never was completely a bad guy to me. He was a game hunter, out for the ultimate hunt. He had morals. He mightve been with InGen but he only worked with them to get a chance to hunt a trex
That scene would have been cool . The novel Crichton wrote in 1995 he probably thought it be pretty cool and pretty terrifying like I did when Howard king runs from the raptors . Roland is not a bad guy like I thought as a kid . The novel and film lost world are still one of my favorites .
I really wish they would have brought back Roland Tembo Back for another movie he was definitely hands-down one of my favorite along with Ian Malcolm and John Hammond
I think it would have been cool. But I like the ending he got. He was tired of being hunted or at least the worst hunt of his life. Part of me wishes we could mini-series. What happened to character X after movie X. Like how their encounters with the dinosaurs chaos changed their life.
Remember when Roland was walking with the rest of the team in the rain towards the old Jurassic Park shelter? He was carrying his famous double barrel shotgun, but had the barrels pointed up AS IT WAS RAINING. So this "super experienced hunter" was walking along for quite a while, allowing rain water to fill the barrels, potentially compromising the shells and the velocity/trajectory of the ammo, be it buckshot or slugs. For the amount of time he had would have had those barrels facing up and exposed to the rain, I'd say he ruined the shells and the gun probably wouldn't fire when he needed it. And if it wasn't loaded that'd be even worse. He'd have to dry and clean it as soon as the rain stopped.
maybe the scene took inspiration from the first book where, and i forget his name, but he gets stuck in the pipe and shoots a raptors leg off, his only regret being that he didnt wait until it showed its face
Could you imagine Roland sitting by his fire place with the stuffed heads of a T-Rex, Spino, Velociraptor, and the Indominus over it while sipping on tea like a boss?

Every time i've watched this movie i feel outright disturbed at how Nick plans to leave like two dozen men, who most likely have families back home, stranded on an uncharted island with very dangerous animals for the sake of 'ecology'. Yes i hate him, but for the good reasons unlike many characters of today's films i grew to hate for the wrong reasons, like being flat, uninteresting, mary/gary sues or outright crappy from the get go.
Genome Soldat I don’t get how he’s the bad guy though? All he did was try to help the baby Rex
@@alexanderbell7651 when I saw nick I immediately knew he was a villain.
Roland Tembo was one my most favourite characters. His first speech to Ludlow in Site B really nails it. I wish this scene of Roland shooting a velociprator was in Lost World.
Roland Tembo the Robert Muldoon we never got.
These deleted scenes were destined to be covered by your channel, your the guy to show the fans on TH-cam.
This scene would have been badass.
3:46 Bang! lol. made me jump. Bravo Sir. This scene would have made TLW even more of a masterpiece. Roland was one hell of a character. I'd loved to have seen him and Muldoon in the same flick, can you imagine if Muldoon had survived the raptor attack?
Most love Roland
Lol what the heck is the picture at 5:39? It looks like it should be the cover of some dinosaur romance novel! Lol
Nice vid
A movie about Tembo would be great. But who would make it? Modern movies mostly seem lacklustre...
0:10 imagine beeing 2 meters from him and seeing the live character in person... wow.
Roland should've came back in later films or got his own spin off film. Really cool character.
Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.
Oh my god that was cool
Rolland kill the Velociraptor wow that Crazy?
I love your intros.
Oh hey, I know the guy who made the thumbnail art! Jaro's such an incredible artist.
Man this would have been awesome to see!
What would be amazing if we got graphic novels of these alternate scripts. I mean even the story boards are amazing.
I hope to see a reference to muldoon and roland ....😎😎😎
It blows my mind how you continue to think of content that nobody has thought about
maybe the scene took inspiration from the first book where, and i forget his name, but he gets stuck in the pipe and shoots a raptors leg off, his only regret being that he didnt wait until it showed its face
It’s interesting how this mirrors the deleted scene of Hammond shooting the raptor.
