That's good info :)
+Captain Geronimo More where that came from :)
I've been watching all of your videos to get ready for my trip in June. You've been so helpful. Thank you!
Hope you have a great trip! Is there anything else you'd like to know about?
Thanks man good info
Glad to help 😁
Very informative!
Thanks, happy to help 🙂
You forgot to mentioned that it shows the dining room assigned to you and the time or option you have selected for dinner. I just met somebody that didn't know dinning room service is complementary so they were going every single day to the buffet!!!
+Jose Lizardi Good point but our very next video is going to be explaining all the dining options :D
YYEESSS!! The only thing I have with me is obviously my sail and sign card, my chapstick, and funtimes.
That's the way to go 😁
Thank you so much for this. I am thinking of getting a prepaid credit card just for this. I'm going on my very first cruise in November
You're welcome 🙂
@@VacationImpossible Is getting a prepaid credit card something that a lot of people use. I don't want to have a hold on my debit card. I have stuff to get after my cruise.
I don't know if a lot of people use prepaid, I just use a regular credit card but it should be accepted, here's the full list of accepted cards...
Acceptable Cards
Visa Card and Visa Gift Card
MasterCard and MasterCard Gift Card
An ATM/Debit Cashing Card may be used as long as it is a registered MasterCard or Visa Card.
The Discover Card and Discover Gift Card
American Express Card and the Carnival Corporation Reward Card from American Express
Diner's Club and Diner's Club Gift Card
JCB Card
@@VacationImpossible I don't have a regular credit card. I can't get a regular credit card.
Fair enough, but I think the prepaid option should work fine for you, just make sure it's loaded with sufficient funds 🙂
Got it
You're on board her now?
Do you know if their is another way to add your credit card to it becised at check in? I want mine on my card but my moms checking all of us in
When checking in you can add a different credit card for each person. In fact each person can log in and do their own check in separately even if part of booking with other people. Alternatively you may be able to make changes at the port or even Guest Services once on board but that could eat up a lot of your time - waiting in line, etc. Better to get it sorted at online check in
that is also for all of the Cruise Lines right
Not sure, only sailed with Carnival so far
Is the hold on your CC per person? So for my family of 4 (were sailing with a 5 and 2 yr old) will I have a 800.00 hold on my CC or just a 200.00 hold?
+Sarah Seeley I think it's per adult and the amount of the hold ($100 vs $200) is based on duration of the sail
Thank you both😊
Interesting. We've never really needed to watch it that carefully. Thanks!
Hi! So, my soon to be wife and I are going on a cruise for our honeymoon in April. My parents are paying for the trip, but we want to pay for things on board ourselves, will this allow us to for instance, buy a drink and it not get charged to my parents
You link the card to a credit card during the online check in process
Lol thanks bud
Happy to help 🙂
Have a great cruise!
Thank you for the information does carnival supply the lanyards ?
They do not - although they'll sell them to you starting at like $11. I recommend if you want to do the lanyard thing to buy your own beforehand
thank you
From what I've read, you can get a lanyard from the casino and they will hole punch your card for you
Cards are all pre-punched now
@@VacationImpossible great to know! I will be taking my first cruise in 6 weeks. Thanks for all your info!
How can you find your muster station
Your station will be indicated by a letter on your card. There will be a map on the back of your stateroom cabin door showing you how to get there
Before the ship leaves it’s mandatory that everyone reports to their muster station. Follow the announcements to meet with your group and you will be shown exactly where your station is.
100%
I bought a CD from a comedian on sail and sign card. But that might just be RC
Does RC call it a sail and sign card too? Thought that was just a Carnival thing, I assumed other cruise lines called their cards something else
@@VacationImpossible I think it's called a sea pass card. Same concept.
Can you add funds to the card when you get on the ship. Are there ATM on the ship.
Absolutely. If you associate it with a credit card it will automatically access the needed funds. If you open a cash account you will need to stand in line at Guest Services to add funds. There are ATMs but they have a $6 charge on top of whatever your bank may charge. These are reasons why we recommend using your credit card - it will save you both money and precious vacation time 😉
On August 30th, I will be a blue card. This is gonna be the first time in my life on a cruise.
I hope it goes well 🙂
@@VacationImpossible at this point, even with current scenarios, August 30th is still a go. I'll leave it up to Carnival to cancel. I am on the Carnival Imagination.
She's a good ship
Vacation Impossible I have a question will I need my credit card when I get off the ship
@@meattae5878 I doubt it. Just your room key to get off basically.
So is it better using a card to put on the sign and sail card or is it better to use cash to add money to it? Want to make sure to use the right thing
I strongly recommend linking a credit card during online check-in, it will save you a lot of time and frustration during your cruise 😉
@@VacationImpossible so I’m going to the Bahamas in 2025 and theres a stop in bimini and freeport can i use my use my sign and sail card to buy stuff on shore
@cgilfoy05 Not on shore, no, sorry
How does the cash card, debit card stuff work how do i put money from bank card to the ship card Because all i seen was the cash packaged from the fun shop.com ? Please explain thank you
We always use credit cards which we set up during online check in (we have a tutorial video that shows you how) and I believe it's the same process for debit cards. For cash you have to set up the account when you get to the ship but expect a significant line up for that
@@VacationImpossible Can you send me the video ?
@@VacationImpossible Also when i order from the fun shop with the items i buy be in my room when i get to my room ? becuase i am VIP
They've updated the site a bit since we made this but the process is basically the same
th-cam.com/video/2p4t9xP8AlY/w-d-xo.html
@@ZeusKingOfGods1 Depends on what you buy I think. I preorder Bottomless Bubbles and the voucher is always there when I get to the room
I don't understand why every card in one cabin has to be connected to one credit card. Why can't each passenger use their own accounts?
They can
When you complete your online registration, you cash determine who is on which acct. You case also decide if it's a cash or cc acct.
How?
How to u create a acc
Just sign up on the Carnival.com website
So if I put $200 cash on my card, can I use that or is it a hold where I can’t use it? If that’s the case how do I get that back?
You can use it. You get it back by waiting in a long line at the end of the cruise or waiting a long time for a cheque
@@VacationImpossible so whatever I put on the card in cash won’t be a hold? Sorry first timer trying to understand everything
Thank you for replying
A hold is what's put on a credit/debit card, there's no hold with the cash option but it takes time out of your cruise to manage. I recommend using a credit card instead for ease
He he carnival valor you have do your card car for the safe you can't. Sign car
Am sorry I'm not sure I understand, are you asking if you can use your Sail And Sign card on the safe?
Does it have to be a credit card or can you use a debit card
You can use a debit card in much the same way as a credit card
Vacation Impossible ok thank you
Happy to help, hope you have a great cruise 😁
Vacation Impossible I’m going in July but have been since I was 12 so just trying to know everything lol.
