Wow, the synchronicity! Your message was exactly what I needed to hear right now. I’ve been getting easily discouraged by things lately. Seeing the glass as half empty, and dwelling too much on negativity overall. Anyway, yesterday, my husband and I traveled 4 hours across the state to see an Inxs tribute band (bc of course I did, hahaha). We danced our a$$es off and had a great night, only to leave the venue and find that our car was either stolen or towed. Right as panic was setting in, the tow truck pulled up and told us he towed our car and said we had 30 min to get to the impound lot or else we would be charged a second day fee, since they were about to close. Our bed and breakfast key was in the car of course, and we knew there was little chance that anyone would be up at the inn to unlock the front door for us at that late hour. Taxis and Ubers were telling us they couldn’t get to us for at least an hour.
So…my husband took a chance and asked one of the band members for a ride to the impound lot as they were packing up their gear. They were the nicest guys and agreed to help us fortunately! We finally got our car in the nick of time and tried not to think about the ridiculous amount of money we had to spend to get it back bc, like you, we have other expenses to deal with, and this was the last thing we needed. On our drive home today, I was thinking about the whole ordeal, and I remembered that I was trying not to be such a Debbie downer. I mean…look at all the positives. I was in my happy place dancing with reckless abandon for about 2 hours, and that made the trip well worth it. Then the band helping us out was another huge plus! I opened TH-cam, and decided to watch your video, and there was the reinforcement and inspiration I needed to fully overhaul my mindset. So, thank you! (And sorry for writing a book here…just wanted to explain it all😂).
