@@RevereOverland just finished up a diesel heater build inspired by yours and will be camping tomorrow with it! Should make camping in Michigan more of a 4 season activity.
Greetings from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, home of the New West 🇨🇦 The music at the beginning of the video is amazing! It fits the landscape perfectly as if I teleported there instantly. Thank you for the video! I wish I could visit this park sometime in the future. It looks like a mini Grand Canyon and it's hard to believe it's actually located in the state of Texas 👏
Boyfriend and I did about 5 days of Big Bend over thanksgiving break. We were at Terlingua Ranch the night before going. We camped off Old Ore Rd mostly. Absolutely loved the views and the hiking. Beautifully done video!
Great footage thanks for the details, I actually live in Texas but haven’t made it there for off road adventures. I’m planning a trip this year and got great inspiration from this. Thanks
Very nice. In 2013 we bought a house north of houston on a street named Santa Elena Canyon not knowing where the name came from. About a year later we took our RV and Jeep to Big Bend and stumbled across the gorge for which our street was named! Nice seeing it again in your video.. We need to revisit Big Bend.
Well darn it, I was in Big Bend Ranch State Park across FM170 just west of BBNP. we held or annual Ultra trail run Saturday 1/16 (yesterday). we ran up into the caldera of the solitario and back out to Barton Warnock Visitors Ctr. in Lajitas. there is overloading opportunities here also. I enjoyed your vid
I recognize those trucks! We passed you guys going the opposite direction while you were headed to Ernst Tinaja on Old Ore Rd., I was with a couple of friends in my white Tacoma. Great video!
I've hiked up to Emory Peak and the Window Trail a couple times. Absolutely beautiful. My first time to see Bears in the wild. The hot springs were pretty relaxing. I still have so much I want to do there.
Nice video, appreciate the production quality and commentary. I was thinking about making a trip to big bend soon and now you’ve convinced me! PS great music choices
BBNP is big and you need several days to see it. The first time we went was in February and if you like the Texas flower Bluebonnets, you will get to see a lot of them. I would recommend you checking out Big Bend Ranch State Park while you are there. It is bigger and less maintained. They also have Free Showers at the ranger station which were awesome! The drive from Study Butte to BBRSP is awesome as well. As usual, I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing, see you in NM! Be sure to check out the El Malpais National Monument near Grants. It's a lot of fun!
This is awesome, we were just there and camped for the last 5 days at Glen Springs 2 campsite. Unfortunately we didn't have the warm weather you had but it was a beautiful park to explore.
I went and camped in the basin with some of my college buddies early january after the big snowfall, did not reach above 32 degrees the whole trip. We were not prepared but stuck it out.
One of the most beautiful places! I go there for a week once a year, For the last 8 years. Still haven't seen everything. State park has harder trails btw
I did Big Bend solo for the Christmas weekend. Absolutely exceeded my expectations. I ran the whole of Old Ore Road, and actually like it more than Black Gap. It’s just as “technical” in spots, and there’s some incredible vistas. Hiking up into the Chisos was great too
We had plans to head down there right after Christmas. Instead we headed over to Canyonlands NP to photograph it covered in several inches of fresh snow. Those seventy degrees days sound a bit more tolerable than the zero degrees we dealt with. But the sun did shine .... Nice work!
I went there late December and it was so hot during the day. Too funny, I didnt know it was illegal to buy the Mexican crafts....I put money in a jar for 2 hiking sticks! 😂

I did black gap a few months back and I struggled for some reason, I see a lot of rigs and they just seem to walk up. Maybe my longer wheel base vehicle was the reason. Not sure
Looks like I missed you all by a couple of days, I camped in Glenn Springs my first night and it was perfect. Thanks for showing the area way better than my few videos and photos do. Not much 4wd action in the park, but happy the trails keep the backcountry pretty empty.
