hi, very interesting video! I am a panorama photo enthusiast too. I have a Q about displaying the big panoramas by which I mean resolutions of up to 80000x3800 or more and file sizes of more than 1 GB TIFF. I bought a new Mac Studio M2 (12 cores CPU, 38 cores GPU, 64 GB memory) to replace my 5 y old iMac 27 inch with intel core i5 (4 cores) and 16 GB memory. Now the problem is that this new Studio seemingly cannot display my big panoramas in the Apple photo app. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to load and when I scroll of zoom in out the pano gets blurred again. On my old iMac I could load the same panoramas in 15-20 seconds and scroll and zoom in out without problem with the same Photo app. Apple specialists tell me that this app is not made for such sizes. Which app should I install to do the job better??? thanks in advance.

Thank you for your interest in the video! I advise using the Preview.app that comes with mac computers to view your large files. It works much better than the Photos.app for zooming in and scrolling. Also, viewing the file in .jpeg format will be less stressful for your computer.

thx for your quick response. I tried in Preview which works indeed better for scrolling and zooming but this is only for 1 panorama and after a fresh restart of the app. Loading a second panorama doesn't work without first closing and reopening the app. And another annoying thing is you can't organize panoramas with Preview. So I wonder which apps can do that on the new Mac Studio ? I am very disappointed with the Photo app in the Mac Studio which is a catastrophy for viewing the big panoramas.

I am also disappointed in the Photos app, having many problems on my mac studio as well. My best recommendation for you is to use Adobe Lightroom to organize all of these panorama photos. It is the ultimate tool for this in many ways. I have a tutorial on this topic also if you are interested. th-cam.com/video/qeMrRSdUPuE/w-d-xo.html
