You were born to do something great with your life.
Let everything happen to you. The beauty and the terror. Nothing is final. Just keep moving!
I liked the thumbnail because you were in it
come to Indonesia, Indonesia has so many beautiful places. for example Bali, Nusa Penida, Rammang - Rammang (South Sulawesi), West Sumatra, Toba Island (North Sumatra), Mount Ijen and many more
Really enjoyed the video Michael, the sun star image is sublime, beautiful location and stunning images, thanks for sharing.
Man that opening scene is just insane 🔥🔥🔥
Personally i like the clouded version on your first morning at the clifs the most! Really moody, love it!
Oh man i cant wait to visit next year 😊
I loved the image with the sunstar and the clouds over the ship!
Wow! Just the Beat Michael. 😍
Stunning set of images Michael
Persistence and diligence!
Beautiful images as always Michael, and yes arrive early and stay late - thank you
Very goodness beautiful images
Would love to see a video of how you take panoramas and how you process. 😊
Your Videos are outstanding! Love them all! Bravo!
Too right Michael and nabbed you a stunning image (loved the doom laden skies over the ocean too).
Hope you enjoyed my country. Madeira is a photography gem. Ponta de São Lourenço is beautiful but next time you need to see it from the sea! Aboard! Cheers
Beautiful images Michael.
Looks like you got better weather than Thomas H.
wow incredibly beautiful photos!🤩
Great images! Thanks for taking me along!

Woow amazing 👏🏻👏🏻
And get out and enjoy the moments and soak up the fresh air 🌿🌊 beautiful photos 📸
Agreed! :)
Amazing video as always!
Very beautiful shoots, I think for some reason I love the sea shoot with 100-400 mm most, with zig zag shapes
The clouds cruise liner ship image is so dramatic and unique. It’s my fav.
Fab. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful photography.
whoa, awesome you guys met for another adventure, awesome content. \o/
Wowww good job Bro...👍👍👍👍👍
Well done..the story is part of the journey of creating that image..Love it...but I prefer Nikon instead of SOny...LOL
Great shots. The clouds with the cruise liner was really something else. Will have to visit the place next time I'm in Europe.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed that one!
When I saw the first image, I thought you were on Anacapa Island in the Channel Islands, off the coast of Southern California! The island configuration is almost identical, except it is a little greener now as we have had some rains. Fantastic images Michael. Madiera is on my bucket list.
Could have been worse, could have been trekking up to the overlook twice with Gavin Hardcastle ;-) The ship under the clouds @ 3:20 was spectacular. Great work.
That island looks amazing, watched Thomas Heaton there recently too (you got much better weather though)...some amazing photos of that peninsula!
Madeira! No way! I’m going in March. Can’t wait to see more in the coming weeks. Perfect timing. Thank you for sharing your experience and tips.
Great Video Michael!!! Really enjoyed this one and I'm looking to the other two episodes.
The will be great inspiration for my own trip to Madeira in November!!!
Great video, I went last November and got some of the best photos of my life! Amazing place
Awesome as ever…
Thank you!
beautiful!
Michael, nice photos! I have two favourites photos. The one with the sunstar at Geodesic mark. I love the one with “v” shape. My island is not a easy place to photograph. I honestly feel it constantly.
Another information… there is a shorter way to go to the first spot… 😂
I love your videos Michael, great content as usual, and what a beautiful location ;)
Was waiting for this video, will be going there next week :-)
Amazing!!!!
Amazing shots!! Great colours and looking forward to your forest video!!
Thanks a ton! :)
Madeira??? Has a Portuguese now you got my full attention. Hugs
Certainly one of your best, in my humble opinion. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks!
Iconic location and I particularly liked the Ocean Liner and the dark clouds reflecting on the sea, would almost certainly be unique and that appeals to me, freezing a moment in time that will probably never look the same 👌
I love your Work... Thank you for sharing with us
thanks so much!
amazing shoots
thank you so much!
I have to go with 2 favorites; the final cliff shot with sun star and the foreground plant shot. But all beautiful!
Thank you Michael for sharing with us..!
Amazing captures sir 😍
Always an inspiration
Thanks so much!
Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers Michael! Great pictures again as always, that is a beautiful island!
@@SteveSacramento thank you Steve, I really apprecite it!
@@MichaelShainblum You are one of my mentors! Thank you for doing what you do!
Beautiful wide angled image of the coast. I can't think of a better example of a wind focal distance being applied to 'big' composition. Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Allways fun to watch you vlogs! And photographs are epic! Looking up to next parts of the trip 😉✌️👏
Amazing....
Thank you Michael... You inspire me so much for landscape photography... I idolize you. Appreciate for your vision
Lovely Michael. Favourite image has to be the cloud shadows on the sea with the ship. Must say though I liked most of your shots. Exposure blends are a mystery to me.
Wonderful video and imagery
thank you!
Great video Michael. Loved the sun star shot and the clouds over the ship with the water cloud reflections. Looking forward to more of this trip.
Wonderful video !!!!! My favorite image is at the 11:30 mark with the sun flare. Though they are all exceptional.
thanks Mark, really glad you enjoyed it!
WOW! You got some incredible shots! That sun star one is my favorite. I agree with you. The patterns and the clouds and on the cliffs match each other. Fantastic captures though! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to make these videos for us to see.
Thanks
Oh wow, thank you so much for the support! :)
Fantastic video + images Michael! Looking back, my favorite photos are always side-products of planned shots :)
I was in Madeira last year during summer to photograph and its so interesting to see what other photographers captuered. By that you can learn so much and you also realize what your own eyes didn`t see during that time.
Your final image of the cliffs was spectacular! Your work always impresses me.
Awesome
Great Video Michael and awesome pictures, as always. 😉👍
I'll be on Madeira, in four weeks from now and hope that you release the next episodes soon! ;-)
Keep on your great work!
Best regards from Germany,
Frank
Hey thanks, the new eopisde will probably be out in two weeks.
Thanks for taking us along on this journey. I always learn something from your vlogs and I really appreciate your wonderful images. They are inspiring.
thank you so much
Unfortunately you seem to make it difficult to pick an absolute favourite Michael.
Definitely a fantastic place for photography, looking forward to seeing parts 2&3 for more amazing images.
Stay safe 🇦🇺
Absolutely wonderful set of images and such a beautiful location! I very much look forward to visiting some time soon!
I really like the image with the plant in the foreground, the scene is so beautifully framed and so vast! But they are all really fantastic!
I very much look forward to the next couple of videos from your trip!
Nearly every time I see a photo of a landscape and I find it fantastic to see I find out it is one of yours. Sometimes I am stumped in how you manage to get the shot but in every which way I am awed by what I see.
I often get so very discouraged in not seeing anything that I want to have as a shot. This video has been an eye opener for me to keep trying even when I do not see it right then and there.
Thank you!
I went there two weeks ago and it‘s insane how fast the weather can change there.
Just did the mistake you were talking about - left early for sunset, because I thought it wouldn‘t work out and then I went to a restaurant and the sunset was on fire. 🤦🏾♂️
Beautiful images. Your theme of this video has been My problem very often. Im leaving to early. I never come to late to the location but I often judge the condissions too early and leave.
Thanks, Morten, definitely stick around for a while! :)
Been going to Madeira for the past 3 years. You are right, the weather is different every time. My second time at the Ponta de São Lourenço was a success though, and I have a 4' x 2' print on my lounge wall ;-). Still to get perfect conditions on the Pico Arieiro/Ruvio hike or at the Fanal Forest, so will just have to keep going back 😉
Beautiful content as always dude. The most consistent photographer out there!
Your version of Sao Lourenco with the sun star is really stunning. And after I've seen your video I totally agree to stick around and don't leave too early. Because I was that guy next to you 😅and when I left the spot, the light was not what I expected. I simply should have waited a little longer. So this advice is anchored in my brain for future photography 😂
I have a suggestion you might consider as a new piece of photo gear you might want to invest in. A nice chair. I have tried at least half a dozen and found one that is quite comfortable and easy to strap onto my camera backpack. I find that I tend to stay longer if I’m comfortable and have gotten images, like you just did, for lingering in a location that has potential. Also if the trip is a photographic bust, I was able to enjoy my time more. Also I have a good thermos. I love that shot by the way. It’s good that you stayed a little while.
Fantastic shots, Michael. Is it not interesting how we learn something new, not related to the camera itself, but about arriving/staying every time we go out?
I actually missed this shot because...I left all my batteries in the hotel after trying to clean my backpack! And obviously, it was a spectacular pink, fuchsia, and red sunset...still devastated after 5 months, it would have been a killer shot! 😞
Loved the video as always! My favorite still is the pano with the sun star and birds, but the drone shot in the intro was also excellent. Also super cool to see Marco and Jessica. Looking forward to the next episode!
Amazing shots! The panorama from the cliff is so beautiful. Hoping to go there this summer :)
thanks so much!
you got some really nice shots out there! so at what part did you almost miss the moment ? 🤔 i was waiting for that part
4:36 and then 7:01 is talking about the moment and the significance/learning lesson that carried throughout the trip.
Amazing! Thank you for making these videos for us. I definitely resonate with your story of waiting a bit longer at a scene, and in general try to be more patient. I have to constantly remind myself that I am here not just to take pictures, but also enjoy nature and creation. It’s a form of meditation.
To be honest, I enjoy the overcast version of the panorama more than the one with the us. I also like your seascape photos that you took with your long lens.
Amazing shots Michael !!! @6:45 is my fav... heading off to the Faroes in a couple weeks, hoping to capture some too :)
Thank you! Have fun out there!
Michael I am a big fan of photography than anyone in Landscape photography. I am curious to ask one question: Do you manually use exposure bracketing with Manual mode or use Exposure bracketing given by Camera? Please answer me.
Great video as always Michael......I loved the telephoto shot of the ship in the distance with the dramatic clouds...quick question how did you focus to infinity with your Sony lens...does it have the infinity icon on it?
Thanks Sean, nah I either use auto focus, or zoom into 10X in my viewfinder. The little icon on the lens isn't always accurate and lenses can also de-focus over time.
I have been away from Landscape photography for about 4 years now (against my wish). Your videos are inspiring me to go out & shoot!
Damn thats a long time away, I really hope you get back to it!
Your videos are always very inspirational, especially encouraging when we hit a dull patch now and then. Stunning images as always. What tripod heads did you use in this location please? I have a similar set of wide and long lens.
Thanks so much for watching. I used the Colorado Tripod Company Highline.
Michael Your channel is absolutely worth it to spend time watch. I really looking some tips ort answer for infinity is If is see infinity symbol or sign then do I need back down like 1, 2 ,3 meter for whole sharp image? I believe If I keep arrow to exact infinity sign image could be blur or unsharp? Other question Exposure Bracketing 3image 2EX S or C and Is that good to use C or S for waterfall, seascape or any moving subject or object for sharper image?
Michael, love your videos and your photography, congrats! Just one question: I'm thinking about buying a 100-400mm lens. Do you like your sigma? Do I need a tripod collar with it? Sigma or Tamron? Thank you in advance and thank you for the inspiration!
I love the Sigma, but the Tamron is just as good I think.
Great work and superb shots! Can you share what focal length did you shoot the panoramas on? As it's so difficult to stitch wide-angle distorted images into a panorama.
6:38😍
6:38 💯👌
Thank you :)
Hi. Would you mind sharing the exact spot where the exact spot where you took the photo on sao lorenco? I will have one chance of taking this photo and I won't have a chance to scout in daylight.
What is it that is said about landscape photographers? "Most come too late and leave too early."
Where is the exact point from which you took the photo (I mean: the cliffs amazing spot:) ?
Apple should hire you for another Mac OS theme
