I wish all guitar teachers on TH-cam would watch you before teaching others incorrectly, because you have that gift that is rarely seen in guitar players for picking out intricate parts and playing everything perfectly!! I've been watching guitar videos on TH-cam for years and finally found the person I've been looking for for learning songs from!! Thanks to Tim Pierce, he sent me to you! By the way, I hold Tim in very high regard along with you!!! Thank You for doing what you're doing!!!
Thank you Andy, brings back memories of being a kid hearing this on my little AM radio in the 70s. Great to see you active with new videos! We love you!
Wow.....the intro to this is simply gorgeous....I lost my dad last year and he just loved this song anytime it came on the radio. Thanks for giving me a huge smile on my face. Great video.
You honestly have one of my favourite ever clean Les Paul sounds, even when you're demoing with the volume rolled back, the clarity and evenness is insane.
I was 12yrs old in '75 and that was my introduction to Steve Gadd - WOW! I'm a drummer by trade but started playing guitar as a hobby over the years and never realized the awesome "weaving" going on behind the scenes (because it was always about Gadd's KILLER groove). Thanks so much for this (and all your videos) - yeah, 50 Ways is still all about Gadd BUT I can now hear the guitar parts too!
These lessons are dead on excellent. Nails the chords and quickly gives a huge lesson on how to contruct any augmented chord. Serious bang for the buck with these. Superlative job Sir!
Wow Andy!! Just awesome! This song brings back so many memories for me as a little boy. This song was on constant rotation on radio stations at the time. As a youngster, the verses sounded so sad but spooky to me....then the chorus kicks in, and it just changes the entire mood of the song with those funky lyrics that are just genius. Songwriting at it's finest, 1975. Thank you for sharing!!
Hi Andy. Brilliant lesson! One of my favourite PS songs and Steve Gadd's iconic drum groove is of course one of the best; I had the pleasure to meet him at an airport pre-covid and had the chance to tell him so! Keep up the great work!!!
Man, ALL of your videos are just spot on amazing. Even on the songs we thought were easy ( 3 simple chords? Yeah okay ) I came here to check out your “can’t you see’ by Marshal Tucker & quickly realized that I had been playing it wrong for years. I don’t anymore thanks to you!! Your professional approach to the industry and your musical knowledge of both the music and the artists themselves are unmatched by ANYONE on the entire web! You Sir are without doubt one of, if not THEE, best guitarists on this planet!! Just love & respect everything you do!! LouieLouie 🎸🤟🎸🤟
Fantastic lesson thank you! I am so grateful to you! Also what makes this song so brilliant are the lyrics. A fresh and humorous take on one aspect of love, and good advice on the way forward if you ever find yourself in this situation - genius!
Love the fact that there are diminished and augmented chords in this song. Just waiting for the augminished and demented ones😊. Another great lesson thanks.
Hey Andy! I love your lessons and they've improved my playing drastically, so thank you!! I would love to see a lesson for Embryonic Journey from Jefferson Airplane. That would be AMAZING! Thanks again!
Lifes just hitting me too hard Andy, I just can't keep up anymore. Third time I've lost everything now, I'm just done. All I can do is listen to you play.
I am still trying to figure out how you got ahold of my Spotify list. So many of your lessons are songs I've been dying to learn. I truly appreciate your pedagogical approach. Outstanding.
Excellent! A site like Ultimate Guitar might be ok for a casual/EZ version of the song but you really get into the chords that Paul Simon uses to make his songs magical and which help set him apart from songwriter-strummers. Many thanks!
Geohlaay lol. That electric lead intro is nice, right by itself ! Thanks man! Been years since heard this song. Be nice to have a chord shape on the screen for these beautiful chords! Great video
Andy you're in my opinion the best teacher on the tube. Would love to see a lesson on Golden County by REO. My favorite REO song and as relevant today as when it was released. Thanks, Mark
How did you train your ear? I’ve become much better at finger style by watching your lessons. I learned never going back again (and solo), landslide (and solo), say goodbye, bron yr aur, going to California, Stephanie, and Rhiannon from you. Would you ever consider making a video on how you figure out these songs?
love your channel, saw your Foxglove video and thought .... would love to see, dare I ... Raviole by the band Audience (actually anything by them) .... of all the teachers i've seen, you're probably the only one who could do it justice ... you're the absolute best.
I love all these spot on 70s lessons you do. I'm sure you get a hundred requests a day, but have you ever considered doing a lesson for Cinderella by FireFall? That song was huge in the day and no one has a lesson for it on TH-cam.
Nice to see this song being dusted off by two different TH-cam channels within the last year or so. I have always thought that drum section and those unique chords were just too good to remain in a 70's memory.
I would love to see a lesson for Reminiscing by the Little River Band as well!! I commented a couple days ago with a hopeful song but this one popped into mind as well. Anyways, thank you so much for all of your incredible work!!! My guitar playing has improved so much since I've started watching your lessons!!!
Hi, Thank you for this lesson, Great, It allowed me build my own score to the song..... With regard to the D#dim chord ,,, Is it ok to play the M6 C note? Or should that be muted out...... (Does it work in theory) Thanks in advance, only if you have time....

It would be nice to see a chart for the chords. Descriptions go by fast. It would be nice to see a pic so there's no confusion.

Wow, thanks. This is really great stuff!
