I'm American, and love Team USA gymnastics. But man, do I love Vanessa Ferrari. When I first saw her on TV for London 2012, I fell in love, and prompted me to watch her videos from over the past years. I was really sad, and felt bad for her when I saw that she got 4th again. She always seems to nail it in semis/qualification rounds, but seems to have a problem in the finals. Great routine, and really liked the music.
Whenever I watch this amazing routine, I get very emotional. Vanessa had an amazing career, she won anything she wished for, except for the Olympic medal. She deserved it in 2012, and the fact that she managed to come back in 2016 and do this amazing routine in Qualifications, but couldn't repeat it in the final breaks my heart even more. At the same time it makes me very proud of her. I don't know if she will go back to training, but I really hope so. She is THE Italian queen, she made our history and nobody will ever replace her. She got surgery on both of her heels (which have been bothering her for years), and she is currently going to the gym for rehabilitation. Just a few days ago she posted a video of a double layout! I don't know if she will be back for Tokyo 2020, we have many talented young gymnasts, but I am pretty sure she will try :)
everytime I see this routine I cry, more than the Tokyo 2020 routine. There is one part when she does the routine on the floor in front of the judges and it seems like she was saying to them "ehy, look at me, I shine and I'm the only one". well, only that moment is legendary
@@hannibaljustincase9985 not 2016 definitely. Her third pass was low in the final and her double pike she stumbled back on so that’s what cost her the bronze in 2016. Maybe 2012 you could argue

It depend on her full in tuck if she sticks it and whether the judges will count connection or not ,I will prefer add a split jump should be better for safety , but she already got 6.3 D-score right now.
Roy Wilson.C Now i dont know the exactly difference between her score and Amy Tinkler score, but seeing Ferrari's last championships when she done it ( 2012 olympics, 2013 worlds, 2014 worlds and the american cup ) she had been done the connection after the tsukahara very well. I thought that if she had done maybe she will beat Tinkler, i really dont know.
FIG required that all connections must have a rebound, like Myzdrikova's triple full into back tuck. Ferrari used to stick the tsukahara and pull a back tuck, so it's not considered as a rebound connection. Unfortunately, the judges are biased and gave the connection bonus for Gabby Douglas even without the rebound during FX Quals.

She really deserved the Bronze in 2012 and in 2016... she's just sometimes very unlucky
+LB7 I agree she should have gotten bronze in 2012, but her routine in EF in Rio just wasn't good enough. Amy deserved the bronze.
Her and Amy were very close... but I just hate how Aliya is always so overscored, it's so unfair to the other competitors

I really wanted her to win bronze...but Amy Tinkler was really special that night.
Any tinkler was was good but form is bad and her landings are so low. She wasn’t batter than wang yan or Ferrari imo but whatever.
