I loved watching Mannix with my father. I love you and I'll see you again. Retired Vietnam era veteran, ex Detroiter, expatriate living in México, Colombia, etc....permanently.
That's Shiffren himself playing piano on this--it's great. I love the 3/4 idea and how he staggers the beat on the bridge--very jazzy. This is probably the most sophisticated soundtrack ever to happen on a TV show.
I used to love watching mannix when I was growing up in the 60's & 70's. I esp. liked the dark green cuda convertible Joe Mannix drove when the top was down.
Who wouldn’t have wanted to see Mike Connors as Mannix for an episode of the classic 1979-81 NBC action adventure comedy series “BJ & THE BEAR” as he goes into physical combat against the evil Sergeant Beauregard Wiley of Winslow County as played by the late actor Slim Pickens?
Thank You, PETER TIETJEN, for posting the BEST rendition of the theme from "MANNIX" on TH-cam! Always had a crush on MIKE CONNORS, growing up. Now, I'm entranced by the magic of the music of LALO SCHIFRIN! His gift to the world was a veritable addiction to the soul! Thanks for supplying! Love to All, Sandie xoxoxoxoxo!!! In Heaven with Lalo..... ¡QUE VIVA LALO SCHIFRIN!
Great soundtrack. I remember getting it after it came out. Loved the show and the music. Sounds like it did when I first got it. Thanks. Also remember getting this right after Schifrin's Mission Impossible soundtrack. Great days for TV.
@@LarryLeeMoniz hmm, just listened again and heard no skip. Straight from cassette. It was the weirdest cassette find at a thrift store And I thought it sounded great on cassette for whatever reason so here it is.

Jazz Waltz! So exuberant like Nancy Wilson's "Let's Go Where the Grassis Greener". Sound that made you jittery with excitement!
