I always hate the "nobody makes them" argument. Yes, people still make those genres of music. And yes, that includes young people in bands formed in this century. You just won't find it played on your car radio because it doesn't bring in listeners.
I'm 55 and learned to play the trumpet, piano, and drums. I was in Jazz band in Jr High School playing the trumpet, played swing/jazz songs in orchestras on the drums...this collection of great classics brings me back. Those days are long gone.
I'm 44 years old and this music somehow brings back memories even thought I was born in the 80s. The movies, cars, decor and fashion from the 1940s triggers memories and brings a smile to my face every time I see and hear them. I've always thought I'm from the 1940s. This is such a good mix!

The suffering continued until we fought communism. We longed for the music and times of America. /// Koreans are the people who have been crazy about music and dance for thousands of years. I am thankful to God that we are finally feeling the freedom of music through music like K-pop.

Our Drill Sergeant in the Army always had the Regimental Band welcome us home, and in particular he asked the Colonel to have them play American Patroll as we marched (yes, I was 18, and we marched into our Base in good Military Order to it for us). We almost floated home . Brilliant.
My Great Uncle, Walter Crombie, played with Glen Miller,( the only Brit) my Uncle Tony Crombie, played Drums( house drummer at Ronnie Scotts) for everybody, Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, with Dizzy, Miles Davis etc, great to hear that young people are still getting into this music!

Dear Mr Twitch, you are 61 years young. Have you considered forming a Big Band society in your area? Our Dad was a pianist and so we grew up with big band, and jazz music. He and Mom belonged to a Big Band Society which met once a month for a social evening of listening to music or watching videos of all the artists of that era. I grew up dancing to this music.
