Here’s the leaf pickup operation from the village of Wilmette. WM sends rear loaders and the city drives the pickup trucks. Big thanks to the very awesome crew!
I’d rather have that truck than raking the whole mess by hand - but it seems like the truck should have more efficiency than it has. Interesting!! Great job!
😮😊 One problem I see with that that's fine. That guy loads that back scoop of the back of the garbage truck and it goes into the garbage truck. There should be one more guy pushing the leaves into the pile so they don't get all over the place after. That's the only problem I see with that. Thank you. I didn't think garbage trucks picked up leaves like that. I guess I learned something new thank you.
Looks like a home made solution but effective. I've seen leaf vacs with 4 people working on it that are 4x times slower. Plus the compaction is a huge gain, the leaf vac trucks have to be stomped if you want to get more leaves in.
Imagine your six year old self playing hide and seek and you decide to hide in the big pile of leaves....then you start hearing the beeping and its getting closer 😂

Needs more augers and rotary brushes.. but this is fun too.. Truck was just about to wheelie with the scooper bouncing 👍😎✊
