Those residents worked hard to bag all that. Those guys sure work hard too. Thanks for opening everyone’s eyes so they all know what everyone goes through. Great video!!
Very interesting video. The picker shows great professionalism in his job the way he throws the client cans back toward the yard and when he drops some in the street he kicks it around so the wind can disburse it back to more yards
Job well done you should be proud buy them a soda or something they deserve alot of credit your service is deeply appreciated thanks don't work to hard even in the cold weather ! Joe
I see lots of non waste items ex. leaves that is termed Yard Debris and should not be hauled in a closed waste truck due to gases the leaves produce which could result in an explosion. In my state the homeowners have to pay a separate fee to WM that uses a different "open box" truck. It only runs 1 time each week to pickup yard debris etc anything non waste.
@@legalizeweed3830 Yes it happened here a few years back and the findings were reported as - Under a perfect storm of conditions - wet weather and warm temperatures - those leaves could start to heat up, and even cause a fire. They can spontaneously combust thus creating a safety hazard. I believe something else contributed to it but nothing else was reported. Ever since that happened they use open bed trucks here in the south. The truck exploded like a soda can with side wall ripped open
I work for WM doing yard waste. That driver should have gotten out way more often than he did and helped the poor guy on the back out. Those stops would gone way quicker if he did. So ridiculous when they don’t get out and help out.
@@annettekovacs613 Agreed! My partner and I would fly right through these stops. We both put our heads down and go to work. Our Route is pretty big so if you move slow you’re screwed.
I’d have to disagree with you. Both the driver and the picker are hard workers. The picker perfers if the driver stays in the cab if it’s 15/20 bags or less and just move the truck as he throws the bags
And where i live, they hang the containers in and an arm rises them, turns them over, empties them and puts them down. And then the guy puts them back, standing(!). When my container is broken, i need to pay for an other one. But not when i have proof that the guy broke it. Regards from a Dutch in german speaking part of Belgium.

@@colesigley5496 total nonsence, what you are saying. There is not need to throw. Imagine yourself throwing with your customers items. Imagine your employees throwing with your customers items. So it did some weld inspections and the items on the ground in front of his feet.
Because of videos like these, corporations get ahold of them and deal with them accordingly. The uploader obviously doesn't understand anything trash related defending the driver and tosser. That's not how you safely and effectively do your job. There's protocols set forth for a reason. If WM seen this, which I'm sure they will. They'll school the uploader on procedures. I've ran the city tree removal and streets department. We swap guys out like this. We don't fire, but we will make them scrub toilets at parks. If you hate your job that much to not follow procedures, safety protocols, you will be gone. Remember, there's always someone watching you. Always. Boss would pull him out at the first can toss. Being friendly to WM is one thing. But to defend them is another thing. You can tell he gets that irritated look when you bug him as well.

Thousands of towns use this system. I've never heard of that before. I used to do this for a living. Interesting.

@@TruckMaster642 I was the same way. I told my driver he didn't have to get out and help. It throws off your rhythm at times.
Very interesting , don't they have compost bins there . And can't the guy stand the bins up instead of throwing them on there sides ,
Works for the city they don't give 2 shits about your stuff
Wind blows them down anyways. I'm a sideloader driver and recycle cans get blown over all the time along with empty cans
Maybe you can ride along and focus on the way bins should be placed by doing it yourself!

Na this driver is great. The picker and him have a system he can handle 15/20 ish bags alone if the driver just moves the truck with the bags
Every non-union job ever
nice
Thanks
Think bin men should be paid so much more
almost an entire truck's worth of cpacity to just those leaves. some should invest ina composte bin
Just burn the leaves?
When he throws my container he can pick it up immediatly. Maybe he does not like his job. I would complain about it.
