- Here is a compilation of all the trucks I was able to catch on leaves last year. A lot of work went into this. There is full videos of all these trucks to come in the future but for now enjoy this compilation

When my mom first moved into her house in 98 we had to clean up all the leaves in our backyard and there was 152 bags on the boulevard, bless these guys for everything they do to get rid of the public’s leaves! 🍁

man i remember those days i averaged between 800 and a 1000 cans a day and i dont miss it....kudos to these guys for keeping the neighborhoods clean

These guys are fit! As well, I like and admire their friendliness in chatting and waving to the cameraman. They seem like pleasant hardworking guys, earning an honest day’s living!

Some large cities simply have their residents rake the leaves onto the street, and then come along with a street sweeper to pick them up.

@KeeganWatz I lived in Kitchener-Waterloo Region for 12 years. Population approximately 500K. It was standard city protocol to rake the leaves onto the road so the city's Elgin Pelican street sweepers could remove them.
@@FivemacsNYC is #1 for that. I live in Brooklyn and it is a pain in the ass for a street sweeper to clean
In Manchester CT the residents rake their leaves by the curb. The town sends out a vacuum truck to pick them all up
Then the town mulches the leaves up to be used the next year as mulch for your gardens which works out great. Great video thank you for sharing 😀

In this neighborhood why isnt there contractor's coming in to vacuum leaves where owners just pile them to the curb?

Why are they so far from the leafs, this is crazy, drive down the street right next to it.
Why don’t they have a vacuum truck or front end loader and dump truck collection program where the residents aren’t wasting so many paper bags

I always mulch my leaves back into the yard or me garden, provides natural fertilization!

Your statement is ridiculous… it goes to the town center along with trees and brush for shredding and composting for mulch that is usually free to the residences
Some of these yards have dozens of bags and their yards are still full of leaves...ya pickem all up, some more fall down
What a waste of paper 🤣our city had a front end loader with a claw that grabs the piles and loads it in to the garbage truck all at once. No lifting
The city where I grew up had open-top trucks with a loader claw that could grab stuff off the street. All we had to do was pile the leaves up by the curb side and they would scoop it all up. Then a couple of years ago some city councilor decided that everyone had to start bagging their leaves. What a nightmare. I had to deal with that exactly one time, and I'm glad I moved. Raking them is bad enough, bagging them more than double the work. We had a big oak tree, and enough leaves to line the entire length of our property and overflow into the next.
Best Job in the World Especially if You Were Municipal Like Me. And You Kept Your Weight Down. Started on the Back, then Front Loader, then Recycle and ended driving a La Brie with a 10 foot telescope for Residential. Lmao!!!
When I was a kid, we could burn leaves in the yard. God, I love that smell.

I think they had just gotten back from the dump and he was just getting stuff resettled in the cab. He was out at the next stops

What stupid town is this? People have to bag leaves? That must cost a fortune all those bags plus the pick up is so inefficient.

Leaves are an integral part of soil renewal. They need to be left to naturally integrate into the mulch process. No i am not kidding.
well composting. when you rake leaves then into a composting pile and adds food waste it is double good. you get good soil you can use anywhere and you also use kitchen scraps you would have thrown away and your lawn is looking nice and fresh.

I hope someone watches this that can come up with an easier way. Like you pull up flamethrower that shit so you ain't even gotta lift it.

ouah la chance!! en France les déchets vert sont interdit de ramassage vous devez obligatoirement les composter et seul les branches et bois peuvent éventuellement être récupérer par la communauté mais vous devez vous déplacer auprès d une déchetterie. idem pour l électroménager et meubles et déchets de construction et vêtement et papiers. en France l amende est de 1500€ par sac poubelle jeter dans la nature et de 150€ en cas de mauvais tri sélectif notre tri
les piles ampoules sont retourner dans les magasin et vêtement dans des containers spécifique idem pour le les bouteilles en verres et plastic.
