I was once skiing near the top of Mammoth Mountain Ca. in near white out condition. and was caught in a snow slide, not really a full fledged avalanche. All I felt was a feeling of vertigo and the snow slowly creeping up pass my knees to my stomach. It was if the slope was trying to swallow me up. Hopeing I would not hit a rock or bolder I continued skiing straight down the mountain until I reached a flatter spot and the sliding stopped. For about 20 seconds it was totally weird sensation and a event I will never forget.
This is among the greatest documentary ever. Raging Planet & Anatomy of Disaster are only two greatest natural disasters series among all. Because both Raging Planet & Anatomy of Disaster maximum focuses on real disasters footage and between these footage there are very little scientific analysis for few minutes which makes both these series less boring and most interested.
While in an avalanche "you're praying to god that you don't hit something that will snap your bones and kill you" , While watching an avalanche has quite the opposite effect 😉
Disaster phone regions are only about $1.66 ft per square foot of land compared to safer grounds are $166.00 a square foot and up. No wonder people keep going back for more punishment.
Season one was great. What happened to this series? Volume totally sucks. I guess it’s ok that we can’t hear it. Episode one was full of propaganda anyway
Some credit Isaac Newton with discovering gravity but if you think about it, I'm pretty sure the first person that tripped discovered gravity. What amazes me, is that after thousands of years, these jackasses still don't get it.
