I think you might undervalue courage in crisis a little bit, it enables proliferate with the counter it gives and it supplies an extra source of proliferate at the same time, I'd personally have valued it over iron bully given that they have the same resource cost especially in a base green build.
I just have never like Courage in Crisis. If you are proliferating with it 3 times or so you are generally already winning so I prefer the stability of the bully.
I get what you're saying, I personally prefer pollenbright druid mostly because it's cheaper, and I mean the deck did hold up as good as you could hope for already. I'm just a big fan of proliferate and seeing it come back in war of the spark was a cool thing to me so I might be a tad biased
