Thanks for the review. 👍🏽 Just ordered these, and looking forward to using them. It was a toss up between the Crew skates, but I decided to go with basic black. I also have the Sure-Grip Fames (saw your other video), and one of the cons for me is the narrower space between the trucks on that Rock plate. I got used to it, but definitely a different feel than my suede outdoor skates.
Hey carl, should have these saturday along with better bearings & outdoor wheels, laces, toe stops, did u ever think of replacing the plates,I see the Juice come with aluminum plates & I was lookin at the Avanti plates just wondering how the stock ones would compare to the aluminum ones if Id see a difference
Unless you're planning on grinding, doing huge jumps or are excessively heavy the nylon plates are perfectly fine. Plus they are a little lighter than the aluminum plates. I have no plans of switching out the plates.
@@allabouthim03 Ok,I was reading & they say the metal plates have more stiffness & put more energy in the wheels instead of flexing but Im sure the tech on these newer fiberglass /nylon plates are probably just as good
There looks to be quite a few differences. The only thing that looks to be the same is the boot. The competitor has an aluminum plate, better bearings, and different wheels.
These skate vids are so helpful! And how smart to use the kid socks on the tongue. thank you!!

Your welcome, I'll be doing my 3 year review next week. Wheels are getting a little worn down, but the skates are in awesome shape.
I have this boot and it's great I also have the 297 and they're great
1 day you should upgrade to a aluminum or magnesium plate.much stronger than the plastic and overall feel better. Keep rolling man!!

Do you know the difference between the 120 competitors vs the uptowns?
