@@colleenedgren5143 You can fix the tightness with different lacing techniques. I had to lace mine different because they were too tight in the toe box. TH-cam has loads of videos on different lacing techniques for roller skates.
Thank you! Just throwing this into the fray, but Lenexa Savanna boots were a perfect fit for my wide feet and tall instep. I'm significantly bigger in heft than OP with slightly larger feet but quite a bit wider (8.5 women's, just under 5" wide, 10.50" instep, 200+ lbs, 5'7"), there was zero break-in required for me in a pair of size 8 Savannas, everything fit perfect from day one with even a bit of space in the sides so I think these would work for the other struggle-foot folks that are bigger than me too. The sizing is only in women's though, it goes up to W 10 but the price vs quality is on point. I selected them for myself based on Reddit research.

I have two pair of Chaya's and love them. They work for wide feet but I've been jonesin for a pair of black suede skates and I've loved the look of the panther since I started skating 6 months ago. I kept hearing how Moxie works for narrow feet so I've been concerned about dropping the bucks for the panthers. Your video was super helpful.

Im a guy with wide feet and my first pair were impalas 💀 my poor feet. They hurt so bad lmao. Also the boot upper started pulling up and ripping off of the back of the heel with two weeks of use. I emailed impala, and they asked for my adress and then ghosted me. 💀 i have a pair of panthers on the way now.

As a fellow paddle-footed person, Ive been squeezing my poor feet into Reidell 120s for a long while now. So uncomfortable / painful. Good to know there are options for us!
@@centref0lds1 I suggest heat molding. Use a hairdryer and blow the inner boot on high, then stuff them full with like socks or newspapers etc. As full as you can. Lace them really tight as you fill. Then heat the outer part, while kinda pushing/pinching the boot, give more attention to the part that bothers you (don't blow at the same spot for too long tho, Keep moving). this helps stretch out the boot further. Other people suggest just using your own feet to do this, but I like to leave mine stuffed a few days.

I have the MoonLight moon boot and then got the Moxi lolly. I love them both. I originally started with impalas. But I just could not skate very long with them. But with Moonlight or my Moxi I feel like I don't need a break in period.

I had the same issue finding skates; Lollies were too narrow, but some of the wide skate were too boxy and my heel would move around. My skate shop is out of Panthers, but I've ordered Moxi Rainbow Riders, and Riedell Orbits - wish me luck!
I have wide and flat feet and have been looking for skates all over but was so unsure my foot is 4 1/2 inch wide and about 10 inch length wise. You have been so help. I appreciate you so much. Now time to save lol

Yay~ I'm excited for you! If youo find that theyre tight, try lacing every other eyelet on the foot part of the boot. *Not the ankle! You want to lace all eyelets on the ankle for support :)

So why didn't you like the lollies? I just ordered a size 9. Hopefully they fit. I do have wider feet but according to size chart they are not considered wide. I usually wear a size 11 in boots but 10 in sandals. All my boots have a lot of room in toes so after watching and reading everything I wear a size 10. So I am hoping 9 will fit. I tried on a friend's lollies. The boot was too long (expected because she has longer feet ) but waay too narrow for my comfort level. The lollies will stretch though since the outer boot is suede. I just didnt want to stretch them out w my feet ;) I hope yours fit!

Yeah, they are. The tongue is a very thick synthetic material and so is the boot, even though it has a suede outer. I have definitely gotten used to it, but it aint gonna be what it aint ;) Still no regrets because the [edit:]moxi lollies did not make my feet feel good.
Hi, was your foot length measurement taken while standing up straight? Or seated? I wear 8 to 8.5 as well but my foot measures 10.1 inches: I had my sister take mine while standing straight. Just trying to figure out why our measurements are different even though we wear the same size. This would also help me alot with skate sizing.
@@patreecemcintosh8036 Hiya good points~ I took my measurements standing with my heel against a wall. I was barefoot at the time, so my measurement is slightly larger with socks on (and I wear socks with all my sneaks and boots, so that could definitely account for the size discrepancy.

Hiya, I swapped out the original Moxies with Radar 62mm wheels w hardness of 76a. These are great outdoors. Occasionally, I skate inside my apartment and theyre great for that too ;) I also got purple suregrip bushings and new bearings!
I bought inline skates from impalas fit well on my left, and tight on my right foot even though I sized up to a 9! I'm also a wide on both feet with size 8.5 on my right and 7.5 on the left 🥺 next time I'll get quad skates from moxie. I should have taken consideration for that 🥺🥺
Sorry to hear the right boot doesnt fit as well~ You could try skipping eyelets on (top of ) the foot part of the boot... but it is super important to lace all the way up the boot for ankle support!

Hiya, they were for me. The boot is all leather so they probably would have stretched but I couldt find them and didnt want to break them in. They were uncomfortable narrow for me. Suregrip boardwalks and Moonlights are strong recommendations; I went with the Panthers because they were the only skates that fit and that were available during the summer surge ;)
I am a 8,8.5 and I got an 8 in the Moxi's. They're a bit long but I like em that way. Check out the size chart for Moxi, they day to go down 1 size from your street shoe size if you're in the US~

Try moonlight for wide feet they are so comfortable

Sorry to hear the right boot doesnt fit as well~ You could try skipping eyelets on (top of ) the foot part of the boot... but it is super important to lace all the way up the boot for ankle support!

Hiya, they were for me. The boot is all leather so they probably would have stretched but I couldt find them and didnt want to break them in. They were uncomfortable narrow for me. Suregrip boardwalks and Moonlights are strong recommendations; I went with the Panthers because they were the only skates that fit and that were available during the summer surge ;)
What size did you get everyone keeps telling me to get an 8
I am a 8,8.5 and I got an 8 in the Moxi's. They're a bit long but I like em that way. Check out the size chart for Moxi, they day to go down 1 size from your street shoe size if you're in the US~

What size did you get the impalas in?
I got them in a nine which I knew would be one size too large. I had hoped the larger size would account for my feet being wide.
