Join me as we embark on a mini series on what it looks like to be a wife that the Bible describes as honorable, holy, and reverent.
In this series we will talk about what scripture has to teach us. We will learn about some amazing women who've gone before us, discuss what character traits we can pray to incorporate into our lives, gather up some valuable habits that can help us be the helpmate God intended us to be, and discover some practical ways we can make our home a haven!

I learned the hard way the danger of going against the order God has created in marriage. My 22yo self newly married back in 2019 simply refused to submit, obey, be secondary to my husband and it nearly destroyed our marriage. I turned to my Heavenly Father for help and of course I was directed towards that verse "Submit to your husband". I asked for God to help me to submit to my husband and not only has my marriage been better, my character is changing as well and I have the desire to be a Proverbs 31 woman. When God instructs us to do something, listen, its for our own good. Going against God's will is setting ourself up for self destruction.

What you said about competing with our husbands is true with me! Now I see it. Because I felt less than him I started to do more and hold it over him. I have to stop cause after 40:years of marriage I can’t have us implode. I need to change when I thought he did.
Wow. That is amazing to hear. I might have to change too. I am driven, and my husband is relaxed. It is very difficult and imbalanced. I need Gods direction, and Him to turn things around.

Oh I love this!!! I attempt to have a "gentle and quiet spirit" but I'm not sure I always do. This will be our second marriage (for both) and I want to do all I can with my choices and behavior to honor him and make our marriage last.

@@Josh-hb8sx As a woman, I would say if she hears the word of God and does not honour him, she will not honour you. We must be in prayer for God's leading in choosing a spouse. "Until death do us part" is a long time. 🙏❤️🔥
Sadly, I am such a mess, I grew up in an awful, abusive home I was molested by nearly every man who had a significant role in my life, and I find it so hard to be a submissive wife. Sometimes I wish that God would just instantly make me a Susy Homemaker submissive wife as I am SO far from that. I love the Lord, but I am such a failure as a wife and mother, and I seem powerless to be otherwise. The thing that I seem to do best in life, is fail, and mess things up. I pray every day, but I am not changing fast enough for my spouse which only causes more problems between us.
Thank you for this video, as it has given me some hope. I will check this series out as I need something to break through this awful place I am in.

I would love to listen to you on marriage. Im 57years young almost 58… Was married in 1984 started dating in 1981. And my prayers are to get my husband to go to church with me. He says when he’s older.☹️ He’s almost 62. So I keep praying 🙏 Sorry maybe that’s to much information. 💒📖✝️🙏🥰

They didnt want to adhere to believing so they divorced. Nothing wrong with divorcing a non believer.

You had me the second you mentioned how you use to be so jealous and how untrusting you were of your husband. I came to TH-cam in a desperate search to find out how I could fix those very things in my relationship. You were the first video I watched, and within minutes you said exactly what I was searching for. God led me to YOU! Though you didn't go into any detail, in this video, I want to say that after watching til the end, that you have inspired me in so many ways. My heart is full with so many possibilities ahead. My husband and I met in church, one of the things that I loved most about him was the love he showed the Lord how devoted he was to serving Jesus in any way possible. The church hurt is deeply (not Jesus) but it was a deeper hurt for him, I made my peace and want to go back to a church but I will be going alone with my two boys. All I do is pray for him and maybe someday he’ll join us, but as a mother I need to teach my children about the Lord. I love this church and I work for this church so my heart knows it’s here where he wants me now. His name is Christhian and I would appreciate prayers for him so that his heart would go back to the Lord.

Thank you woman of God. I am 27 this year. I have been a Christian since 2015... after a series of rise and fall on the back of me thinking I was so ready for marriage.... I am learning the truth of the part in Scripture which says " in Him we live, breathe and have our being. " I was trying to sustain a relationship without God and after I reflected on His mercies I had to let the young go... Now I am healing and I pray he is too.... Today I watched the video and the holy Spirit showed me things I did that I could have done better.
I just want to glorify the Lord God my Father and Savior will alllllll I am. Lovely video.

I have gotten a lot of revelation these past few days in regard of what type of wife I have been. I am struggling. I am angry. I have been so guarded not only towards my husband but to God. I can't wait to dive into these videos! My husband and I were so far from the Lord when we married almost 20 years ago, although we were both raised in Christian homes. There was a brief period in our marriage when we went to church together, but things at that church took a terrible turn (lots of corruption among the leadership). That situation left our entire family spiritually traumatized and without a church home. Instead of praying for guidance, we all decided we were no longer Christians. Long story short, the Holy Spirit tugged at my heart and pulled me back to God, but everyone else in my family (including my husband, whom I love and respect immensely) are antitheist. They mock God and ridicule Christianity while I sit and pitifully mumble about how maybe they're just seeing it through the biased lens of being on the receiving end of spiritual abuse. I can't bring myself to boldly proclaim my faith yet. I'm too afraid it will put me at odds with my family during an already difficult time (my dad was recently diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis isn't great) and hurt my marriage. For now I enjoy my daily quiet time, pray constantly for God to soften hearts, and try my best to live by example❤

I LOVE this. It is soooo helpful. I love learning about this because I have NOT been a Godly wife partially because I was not walking with God through my marriage until now, seemingly too late. I always listen to these kind of teachings every month or quarterly as a REMINDER because I have such a head strong personality and Ive always taken care of myself since I was a child. Like walk to the bus, get my siblings up and prepare them for school, walk home from school, cook for me and my sinlings etc etc that being married now its HARD TO LET go. Even to God its hard for me to let go to Him because ive been soo strong my whole life and I know without God I am nothing. But that inner child in me where I was taking care of everything is still inside me and comes out whenever I feel like things are not getting done accordingly to my desires. But I have to listen to these teachings to remind myself its OKAY to let go. God please continue to help me.

I really would like to hear more on how you overcame the jealousy and what that looked like practically. I know you said you fell more in love in Jesus…I do love Jesus but having some practical examples and tools would be super, super helpful.

I have thought the same thing. Jesus suffered for us. Is that what he wants from me? To suffer, and in the hope that my husband of 23yrs would finally turn to him. I am suffering. Unkind words, being overlooked for his friends, not feeling like a "couple" like the couples I see, alone at church. This has been a long haul. And I need prayer to keep at it. He has threatened to divorce me, because he wants more for him self. Oh Lord, please help me, please turn my husband towards you, and show me how to be like you.

I love your story! And I’m sorry that you had to pray so long in order to get where you are. As a Christian woman and a believer, I know that many women struggle with why their husbands cannot be the spiritual leader. I have learned over time that women were never made to look for a man, but the man was made to find a woman, and it is our job to make sure that they are spiritually align with God‘s plan. The problem that most marriages have is that the women lead spiritually in the males do not step up to their role. I have learned over time that Eve was made for Adam not Adam made for Eve. When God made Adam and Eve he had to break the men in order to form the woman. The man came broken, and the woman came full. So as a godly wife, it is our job to make sure that our husbands are spiritually alone with God’s plan.. many times I find myself getting weary because my husband is not spiritually aligned with God‘s plan and I get frustrated, but I have learned over time and I hope this helps someone out that you have to pray and wait for the Holy Spirit to lead you in the way that he wants to leave you so that you can lead your husband back onto the right path. It was never designed for the woman to stay in that position as a spiritual leader, never get comfortable being the spiritual leader keep your faith and stay close to Jesus, so that he can align your marriage.

I want to be a godly women, godly wife, a warrior for God. Thank you for your videos. This is going to help me so much. I am new to your channel and can't wait to explore all your other videos. As a Christian woman I would like to know what your thoughts are on being a Christian woman and wearing a veil. I have really thought about doing that since that is one of God's commandments. That is just one commitment that i would like to keep sacred that i have not broken. I got saved as a child and when i became a teenager i left being a Christian to explore the world. I had a traumatic experience that led me to not want to be where i was at; even though I still claim to have God in my heart. Now that i have found Jesus again I feel like my duty is to be a godly woman, a godly wife and have a godly marriage and be a warrior for God. 💔💓💞

Thank you so much for this video. I’ve only been married a year and a half and we have a two month old. I just officially quit my job to be a SAHM as my husband is an electrical lineman and works away from home Monday-Friday and sometimes goes away on storm calls for weeks on end. I will admit a hard area for me is being vocally thankful for my husband doing some jobs around the house. For example, he usually unloads the dishwasher for me. I am so thankful for that of course but it is hard for me to thank him for the one task when I am responsible for all the other household tasks, much without outward thanks from him. I know he works so hard and is the breadwinner and is exhausted when he is home. But how can I become better at thanking him when I am not always thanked?
