Mandy, you are such a Godsend! I am a long time Etsy seller and need to increase income so have decided on POD. I have watched so many videos and seen such high cost courses that I was really becoming so discouraged. Then God led me to you! I feel like I am starting a new and hopefully successful journey. Thank you so very much for your guidance and encouragement!
I just want to say thank you, I hope u realize how much you’re helping people! I’m going to follow everything you say to do in your course. I’ve had an Etsy store for 2 years but never a niche or a strategy, I get sales but nothing life changing… - I’ve been throwing spaghetti at a wall - it’s going to mean taking a lot of my listings down but it’s not like they are selling anyway… I pray u r leading me on the right path lol
I agree with you completely. I just "discovered" her thru another TH-camr and am extremely impressed. Definitely Praying for Wisdom, Discernment and Guidance in starting this process as well. Thank you for sharing. Blessings on your day!
Thank you Mandy. I felt soooo deflated and confused when I realised that I only earnt UK 79p from my latest gorgeous cards. I'm going to keep listening to you. You are so encouraging and inspiring
One of the best and underrated channels out here. Your info and explanations are Platinum! I really hope your channel continues to grow. Keep up the great work!
Hey Mandy, I've been diving into Etsy shop tips and your top-pinned video caught my attention. Had to call out to my wife about how your authenticity and wisdom really shine through. Your approach just won me over - setting up my Etsy store inspired by your free course playlist!
I appreciate this! I was always frustrated that I didn't have the capacity/time to add in the extra "flash" to my videos, but now I honestly find that the simplicity works well and helps the audience focus on what I'm trying to communicate :) Thank you!
When you do AB testing, do you duplicate the one on ETSY only? or also in Printify? and if you only do it on Etsy only, does it go to the "OTHER ORDERS" tab on Printify? I hope my question make sense.
I play around with mine but typically run at $30 for about a month to see how it goes and then adjust periodically. Closer to peak holiday season I had my shopping running at $100 per day and still making solid profit, but you need to make sure you’re in the ad stats and monitoring performance over time. Module 7 in Traffic and Ads in the course playlist on my channel goes into more detail on how I use it 😊
Definitely try to optimize as best you can and make sure your designs and primary listing photo is in good shape so that you have a better chance of getting good conversions with your ad spend 😊
There’s a few reasons, and here’s what I think are some big ones - 1) Many of the big sellers from the last couple years started during the pandemic and an unprecedented time of ecommerce, so they probably didn’t feel the need to run ads since organic traffic was sooo much higher than normal. And since they got that natural boost for a couple years, their existing success will likely continue all by itself because their shops are now ranked really well on Etsy. Results from 2020-2021 should not be expected again anytime soon though (if ever). We are in an entirely different economy starting in 2022 and beyond. I have been on Etsy with my handmade business since 2017, but two of my print on demand shops were started in 2022 and one in 2023. 2) Not all sellers started with a specific intent to scale fast and start organically ranking faster instead of waiting for the algorithm to take over. The faster you start organically ranking (which largely comes from sales + reviews), the faster you’ll reach more consistent sales. 3) Etsy Ads are not required for success, and many TH-camrs take the approach of “make money and have success with zero money up front”. And that is completely valid. The approach that got me to $100k in 10 months despite being in a poor economy came down to simply figuring out how to expedite the organic ranking process with ads when done correctly and with a strategy. I used ads to bring significantly higher traffic to my listings and provide me with valuable data and sales that would not have happened otherwise. Yes it requires spending money to make money, but I consider it an investment as part of business 😊 I don’t think (most) of the TH-camrs I know of doing Etsy and/or print on demand are wrong in avoiding ads, I just found big success with a different approach 🤓
I feel like having a handmade business for years before all the other hype existed has in a way given me a different mindset. I’ve operated on multiple platforms, I’ve experienced ups and downs, I’ve tried a million different approaches with business in general over the years. Many are also trying to sell a course - I am not 😅 I’m a constant learner and I love technology, so I honestly just love being able to apply all of that and share insight to hopefully be able to help others along the way 🥰 Thank you for being here - I appreciate you!
With Etsy ads, is it better to advertise fewer items (20-30 of 200), but with larger budget ($50+} or advertise more items (100-175 of 200) with a larger budget ($60-75+)? Great video!!
In the beginning I went with all of my listings turned on to start getting visits and data, then started reducing listings based on which ones were performing best under ads. Around the holidays I was then up to $100/day for a couple hundred listings. Ideally, I recommend keeping your ads narrowed to fewer listings that are performing the best as your long-term approach. 🤓 Hope that helps - let me know if I didn’t answer your question!
You definitely can, just remember that building your shop on your own website means you must be able to drive your own traffic (since you will not have the benefit of organic traffic from a marketplace like Etsy). I talked a little bit about it in this recent video (just under a slightly different context) th-cam.com/video/clXfPaqzy6c/w-d-xo.html 😊
I feel like I need to increase my ads spend, I'm only at $5 a day😢 I recently had a customer ask me a specific question about printing and I had no clue, so the point you said it's good to educate self about the products is great, I also ordered a sample of one of my design..I got it yesterday and Soo disappointed..it's way smaller than I expected, I believe I made it 12 inches ..and that's smaller than I expected.
Yes! Some printers scale more than others depending on size (and some printers in general are better than others), so samples really help with learning those little nuances 😊
I turned them on at $30/day (you won’t actually be spending that much in the beginning, it’s simply setting the cap). During the holidays I ran them around $100/day.
About 900, across a variety of niches 🤓 I had about 700 going into Q4 in 2022, which really helped to set the trajectory since that’s the biggest selling time of year 😊

I've said this before, but you're a genius. That's why you do so well.

I just found you. Amazing content and very clear explanations. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏☺️
You have one of the most the most generous beautiful sole on TH-cam regarding Etsy ! Thanh you !
I like your content, you explain it very simple without a lot of whistles going off all the time, thank you ❤

Thx Mandy - great content!
Dear Mandy, great video! Thank you for it. Can you let me know what is you etsy shop? I would love to see it. Thank you
Thank you Mandy
This was continuing gold thx.

Do you mind sharing which niches you do good in?
Good videos! Stay positive
What ads budget do you recommend for 300 listings per day?
I play around with mine but typically run at $30 for about a month to see how it goes and then adjust periodically. If you’re running ads Etsy ads, how important is it to optimize your title description and tags for organic SEO? Thx.
Definitely try to optimize as best you can and make sure your designs and primary listing photo is in good shape so that you have a better chance of getting good conversions with your ad spend 😊
Great video! I noticed a lot of Etsy TH-cam sellers are against ads for new sellers. Why is that?
There’s a few reasons, and here’s what I think are some big ones -

@@studiomdesignsco Thank you. I appreciate your channel. You have a very different approach than the other etsy channels I have seen.

On sweatshirts, is it a seasonal product? I was thinking of offering sweatshirts but an hesitant knowing that US is in spring and moving into Summer.
Sweatshirts are a little slower in the summer here, but I definitely still sell plenty of them! 😊
Can we do good selling on Shopify instead of Etsy?
You definitely can, just remember that building your shop on your own website means you must be able to drive your own traffic (since you will not have the benefit of organic traffic from a marketplace like Etsy). Which print supplier did you use?
How much money daily do you put on ads?
I turned them on at $30/day (you won’t actually be spending that much in the beginning, it’s simply setting the cap). During the holidays I ran them around $100/day.
How many listings do you have? In this shop when you hit 100K
