I've been a Stryper fan since the band began. I am now 52 and still am a Stryper fan. Their songs are right out of the holy Bible very uplifting and encouraging songs I love Stryper!
I don’t say this lightly; they are better now. Their songs have more depth in both music, lyrics, and concept. The musicianship is top notch, and they are breaking new ground as a band, not just rehashing and repackaging the same old thing. The last several albums since Murder By Pride have been not just some of their best material, but is as good and relevant as anything else out there right now. God bless Stryper

These guys deserve that R&R Hall of Fame spot. Though if they don't i think we all know why. Its no secret that Christians are being discriminated against but the world persecuted our Lord & his children will see no different. Especially these days.
Telling lies are an act of the devil. Stop. Elvis Presley was a devote Christian and is in the hall of fame. He made Gospel albums as well and sang gospel songs with his band members after most concerts in their rooms. Face facts, there are not many open religious people in music and THAT is the reason you think the way you do.
God bless the Sweet brothers and the boys of Stryper. They've been going at it for 40 years, preaching the gospel and leading people to the Lord with their brand of Christian power pop metal. 35 of those years ago, they were there for me when I was first finding my way as an adolescent, having spent the better part of my years in the church. With as many of us that were being led to listen to heavy metal music, they were a voice given to my generation to try to speak some of what God wanted us to hear. They were there as I walked away from the church as a teen, away from Christ, and started going on my prodigal son path, not realizing that was exactly what I was doing at the time. And 35 years later, after making the decision to finally come Home again, Stryper are STILL there. Old men now, but STILL kicking ass and never failing in their devotion to God and speaking His Truth. Such a powerful message in this song, for me personally, reminding me how I've truly just lived the "same old story" my whole life, always seeking, but never finding that greater truth within. Now I remember. I love how much fun they're having with this video as well. There's no pretenses, just "this is us, this is what we have to say, yes we came from the 80's and it's still who we are, and God is groovy so get with it" kinda thing. They really are super talented musicians, so it was funny to see them playing all the usual musical metal tropes that you would normally hear in a lot of songs, especially in the solos. Very tongue in cheek for them, though also very poignant as well. Michael's voice is still amazing, and I'm praying for his sight to get better. That has to be an ultimate, Job-like test of faith for him, I'm sure. 40 years of rocking for Christ, and I don't see them stopping until Michael returns Home for good. Hallelujah! I hope they tour again soon so I can finally worship with them live. 👏 God bless them all. ❤️🙏❤️
As someone who has been listening since The Yellow and Black Attack, may I say, your music and ministry are still top-notch. You have a LOT of God-given talent, and have worked very hard to perfect your sound. #awesome
Also, I love how Perry has really integrated himself into the band. You've seen him very slowly from, "Sorry" to "The Valley" to "Do Onto Others" to "Divider" to "Transgressor" to "Same Old Story" just transform from "the new guy" to an integral part of the band's sound, personality and look. Absolutely love you guys!!
That guitar tone is about as close to perfection as you can possibly get. Mike, you have once again outdone yourself. I love how pronounced perry's bass is, and those drums! What else can I say? The snare sounds fantastic, and on a proper system, the kickdrum has a satisfying THUD! Vocals (and harmonies) are as good as they ever were and in a killer song to boot. I've heard the album (with the exception of some snippets of ashes to ashes) , and I can agree with your comment on this being your best album. Not even one skippable track, IMHO. Take a bow guys. You have most assuredly earned it. :)
Thankfully the rude comments are few and far between. Personally, I do not understand how ANYONE can laugh and/or slam these guys. Ok, I understand they aren't everyone's cup of tea, But to not acknowledge the guys are fantastic musicians (And of course those vocals) is completely absurd. Unless of course those type comments are merely trolls trying to stir things up.
I think he should ditch the soul patch though, he looked angelic in his younger days without it. His eyes were spookily angelic too. Maybe that's why he got into Christian music, he knew he looked like an angel so it would be appropriate.

I love how much fun they're having with this video as well. There's no pretenses, just "this is us, this is what we have to say, yes we came from the 80's and it's still who we are, and God is groovy so get with it" kinda thing. They really are super talented musicians, so it was funny to see them playing all the usual musical metal tropes that you would normally hear in a lot of songs, especially in the solos. Very tongue in cheek for them, though also very poignant as well.
Michael's voice is still amazing, and I'm praying for his sight to get better. That has to be an ultimate, Job-like test of faith for him, I'm sure.
40 years of rocking for Christ, and I don't see them stopping until Michael returns Home for good. Hallelujah! I hope they tour again soon so I can finally worship with them live. 👏

34 years a fan and I can't believe how great this new album is sounding! This is an example of what happens when old masters bring their A game.
Also, I love how Perry has really integrated himself into the band. You've seen him very slowly from, "Sorry" to "The Valley" to "Do Onto Others" to "Divider" to "Transgressor" to "Same Old Story" just transform from "the new guy" to an integral part of the band's sound, personality and look. Absolutely love you guys!!
I miss Tim, not gonna lie...but Perry has definitely rocked it....looks like he has been there since the beginning!

Mike, you have once again outdone yourself. I love how pronounced perry's bass is, and those drums! What else can I say? The snare sounds fantastic, and on a proper system, the kickdrum has a satisfying THUD! Vocals (and harmonies) are as good as they ever were and in a killer song to boot. I've heard the album (with the exception of some snippets of ashes to ashes) , and I can agree with your comment on this being your best album. Not even one skippable track, IMHO. Take a bow guys. You have most assuredly earned it. :)

Thankfully the rude comments are few and far between. Personally, I do not understand how ANYONE can laugh and/or slam these guys. Ok, I understand they aren't everyone's cup of tea, But to not acknowledge the guys are fantastic musicians (And of course those vocals) is completely absurd. Unless of course those type comments are merely trolls trying to stir things up.

I think he should ditch the soul patch though, he looked angelic in his younger days without it. His eyes were spookily angelic too. Maybe that's why he got into Christian music, he knew he looked like an angel so it would be appropriate.

I love Stryper and have since 1985 there music always lifts me up and makes me feel great I've seen them live 12 times and will continue until they stop touring the new songs are awesome continue making great music and always keep the faith
