While the style may not be to your taste, a lot of passion and effort went into this project to capture a vibe of the band's story and legacy. My goal was to honor that nostalgia while exploring something a bit different creatively. Not a lot of video available from them, but I was able to generate the b-roll to help the retrograded look.

Thankful that my friend in high school questioned me with, “You’re a Christian, right?” Then mentioned Stryper. That was back in ‘87, and I never looked back.

I love that they still play 80s style Metal. They are not trying to be "modern" which is something many 80s metal bands try to do and usually sound awful doing it. Stryper still sounds like Stryper and I'm here for it.

No they don't. I adored the 80's Stryper, they were by far my most favorite band, but none of the albums after "Against the Law" (1990) have been good, apart from a song here and there. It's mostly Michael Sweet's solo project soft rock played in Stryper costumes.
I grew up in the 70s and 80s into metal but one day in my senior year of high school 1987 one of my classmates let me borrow a Stryper cassette tape ....
Things began to change in my life. At that time I was introduced to Resurrection Band and the Daniel Band from Canada. God used godly metal to deliver me from the domain of darkness to the kingdom of His Son. Saw Stryper at Akron Ohio in '87 with the Hell With the Devil Tour. Amazing concert. Kids were shouting out Jesus name outside after the concert. My Spirit felt alive and refreshed. Bless Stryper.
I was 19 in 1987 and still wish I could have gone to even one of their concerts back then, so now I wait for STRYPER to show up in the TWIN CITIES, MINNESOTA and I Will Be There Rockin Out with STRYPER and JESUS for my 1st time. Keep the Fire Burning STRYPER, there is so many more souls to bring to GOD.
From 1984-87 we all had Big Hair & LOTS of hairspray. We put the hair makers on the S&P 500. They crashed in 1988.

Man this song just encapsulates what nostalgia feels like.
This guy was going to get jumped by some guys running up behind him. I stopped on my motorcycle and asked if he wanted to go to a concert. We took off and watched a Stryper concert live in Fresno, CA in the 80's. He was the son of a Hells Angel, he told me. He said it was his birthday and that was the best moment of his life at that concert.

Not bad pretty cool to see some old footage of the band. I especially liked the weeping twin harmonies guitars on this song. So far this album sounds killer. I'm definitely going to get it.

The thing I like about Stryper is the older I get, the louder I have to listen to them. 😂 Bloodgood was a great band too. They were a great band that loved Jesus Christ. These bands know their mission fields!

I was 16 in 1987 when I saw Stryper. Hurricane opened. I've seen them two more times, with my wife and with my long-term girlfriend prior to that. They just keep getting better!

In '86, maybe '87 whenever they toured on THWTD album, one of the band members did something super cool for a friend of mine at the Waco, TX show. My friend, Robert, was dying of leukemia. Robert attended the show in a wheelchair. He had recently become a believer in Christ Jesus, living the first few years in his teens running with a rough crowd and was in to bands like Slayer, Venom, Celtic Frost, etc. Soon after he became a believer he really leaned on music from Stryper to fill a spot in his soul for metal music. He wouldnt have missed this show for anything even though he felt as bad as he did. I will never forget towards the end of Stryper's set, somebody wheeled Robert up on stage to be right there with the guys during a song. It was incredible and i felt so proud. Thank you, Stryper. See you one day, Robert, and we can jam To Hell with the Devil once again.
