The second girl the way she handles her natural hair and relaxed hair is so rough, that’s why it’s breaking and it’s gonna continue to break just because of the handling (rat tail comb, combing while wet and tight ponytail) Natural hair is not the problem, she’s the problem
The public cry for help about how terrible their natural hair is sooooo annoying. When that lady made the video where she was on the verge of tears cos she decided to leave her hair dry overnight, i blocked her immediately. I was so irritated by her making that video because then there were black women in the comments making natural hair seem like a literal curse. I fear its too late for us, but I love your channel sm and will never stop supporting 💗
So these girls that just hate natural hair so much are basically telling all of us that we're a natural hair that they do not like how we look. I'm so disgusted with this anti-kinky hair in our community. It's such a bad example for the young girls.
It’s not Jim Crow if these are people that are not black Americans. This is just self hate that Africans and then black Americans and black peoples from other places always had for their physical appearance.
At 42, I’ve seen this cycle before. It’s tiresome and disappointing. I’m convinced that people are willfully ignorant about natural hair because ain’t no way they don’t know how to care for it in this day and age.

Hi , I just want to say i binged watched your channel yesterday and decided to wear my hair out to work. I've been wearing a kinky curly wig which mimics my hair type. last night, I unravelled the cornrows under my wig and put my hair in chunky twists, loosened the twists this morning and made a simple up do. It was raining on my way to work this morning but I tried not to let it bother me, shrunken hair is still hair. Keep doing what you are doing.
You asked, so I’m answering lol I’m not ok Juliee. lol I did cream crack. Hated every second of it so I’ve big chopped again for the 2nd time. Lol your video makes me feel better tho because I loveee my curls and curl pattern. So I feel like this big chop was exactly what I needed. I know it will grow back because I’ve grown it out before. I promise this is the last time I’ll ever put chemicals in my head!! I was looking at old pics and videos today and wanted to cry because idk how I ever thought anything besides my curls could ever be better. I love your channel and thank for the encouragement. #NewSubbie
Oh darling I'm doing fine. Thank you. May God help black women. 😢 My regret was ever letting relaxers touch my scalp. That shit has effects even when you have stopped using it. Thank God for starting afresh. I asked God to forgive me for ever talking down on what He created.
😅😅😅 since you asked 😂😂😂😂😂. I am back from work. Eating fried sweet potatoes with salad in wrapper. I am doing well. Hope you good. Keep the content coming 😂
I will admit there was a MOMENT in time when i hated my hair because it would get SO tangled and i would get so frustrated trying to detangle my hair. However, it was my fault because i didnt comb my hair regularly. I would sit and let my hair get tangled up for days. Then when it was time to wash it, i would struggle to detangle, before, during, and after washing it. It was my fault. I neglected my hair and caused the problem. Now i comb my hair every other day and keep my hair from knotting up. It makes wash day easier too. If i straight my hair, it would go down to my boobs. Lol
I got relaxed at 5yr old hair broke off severely by 10yrs old, then got a S Curl, ended up natural but didn't know how to take care of it. At 12 I relaxed again when hair was healthier. At 19 was pregnant was natural again, wore braids whole pregnancy, hair grew so much. At 29 hair broke off bad, remembered when I wasn't relaxing my hair it was long and healthy, decided to stop relaxing my hair. I've been natural and happy for 11yrs. ❤
I don't know if it's just me but natural hair is more aesthetically pleasing than relaxed hair anyways, especially for us low density girlies. I say this as someone who basically had relaxed hair my whole life until I started my natural hair journey in 2020. Natural hair is definitely more demanding but it's really not that bad, and I appreciate the versatility that it affords me as well, that's the other thing with relaxer if we set aside all the health risks associated with relaxed hair, the styles are limited and they don't look as good imo. Also I agree I respect their decision but I hate the negative talk about our hair because it's genuinely so special, and it's harmful
I honestly think relaxed hair is harder to maintain. Trying not to sweat or get hair wet in the rain was not for me😂😂😂😂 I’ll take my forest all day, but I’m always loving all black hair! Yall sooooooo gorgeous either way ❤❤❤❤
I got family who swoon over my hair and complain bout there’s. Meanwhile I be at war with my hair SOMETIMES( if I fall depressed - ) and I’ve got 3c-4a curls . But I’ve never fr been into wigs hardcore , like when I danced that’s when I wore them lots. But once I retired from dancing in clubs I’m back in my natural hair 24/7. Best decision I made was to go natural. I never had issues when I was relaxed . But I find it easier to straighten my hair natural. Vs, when I was relaxed I hated it. I love how flowy my hair is when flat ironed with volume naturally. Vs when relaxed it was just flat . The last relaxer I got didn’t take and that was a decade ago. Right now on my journey is to thicken my hair back up because I fell very ill this past summer and it shows in my hair. The shaft is thinner than the roots. Now that I’m back well I’m on a healthy hair journey . I didn’t neglect my hair but it def shows the state my body was in via the mid-shaft downward.
I remember being finally GROWN & pissed 😤 that my hair was permed as a child & then I as a teen keep it going until I found & 👀 just how many options I had to explore… & even when it’s “so called nappy” just remember I’m happy & NAPPY 😂❤🎉😊🙏🏾👏🏾🌺🌹🌸🗣️🎤🎶🎶🎶#WOOOO & im 50 in November & been natural for 20 years 🥰😊

My mum is Nigerian and since I was young, she was always conscious about not tugging at my edges as it was common amongst Nigerian women to loose their edges. Whenever I went to do my hair, she’d tell the stylist not to tug too tightly. Thank you mum!
I always laugh when people go back to creamy crack just to put it in a ponytail and then a wig😂. I’m like you can do that with natural hair --all that drama for a newborn baby ponytail 😂
Wig heist😂😂😂😂. There is obsession of wig in Nigeria. Both Male and female need to have re-orientation to love and care for our hair. Our entertainment industry are not even trying to potray how the African woman actually looks like. The reason I don't watch Nigeria movies is the heavy makeup, different colors of wigs, false lashes, long nails and the wannabeness of American.
It's crazy cos even Americans are wannabe latinas cos they PEDASTALISE straight wigs and loose curls. It's embarrassing some people don't even know what real black hair looks like 😂
I wish they would relax their hair privately. Many people do not understand the level of self hate they have for themselves! No other set of people wear other people's hair. The only time we see non black wearing wigs if for hallowen

What's so sad is that the manufacturers of these relaxers won't change the dangerous ingredients. Why would they when black women are still willing to use them.
You’re fuxking stupid 😂 Kenya was FINALLY decolonized during the 1960s… that’s more than halfway through the 1900s. Too close and the generational scars are hot off the press
when people relax natural hair just to put wigs on top of it... Also, its crazy to me how people relax their hair and they don't even apply the relaxer right, so it ends up looking awful anyway. If you're going to damage your hair with one of the harshest chemicals available, at least make sure you're applying it right smh.
I pity these women who cannot embrace their natural locs. I've been natural since birth. I was lucky to have a mother teach me to love my hair and care for it. When I was 14, I once tried a wig just to see what straight hair would look like on me. I absolutely HATED it. It was hot, it felt foreign on my head, my scalp formed more dandruff than normal and it just felt like I wasn't being my authentic self. After a week, I got rid of it and went back to my fluffy, bouncy curls. I had noticed that I got more attention with the wig from men which is another reason that made me uncomfortable. Then I learned about the dark side of the wig industry, how they exploit poor Asian and African women for their hair to make wigs. That's BAD juju some black women are putting on their heads. Though I am personally against wigs, extensions, anything that is fake hair, I can't police what black women wanna do with their hair. I do hope more black women stop wearing fake hair and embrace their naturals. From what I see, it is slowly happening. What use to be straight or spanish wave wigs or relaxers in the 2000's all the time, I am now seeing more naturals, more black women wearing wigs that FIT THEIR NATURAL TEXTURE. It is changing. Because of this, more non-black people are seeing the beauty in afro hair and black women.

Lack of quality products, lack of moisture and protein, lack of proper detangling, lack of trims (even with the relaxer she couldn't comb it through the ends, and constant braids and wigs. If you can't maintain natural hair, you'll be bald with relaxers. No, thank you, those chemicals are not good for the health.
It’s sad when you can’t even go to elders in your family to get natural hair advice because everyone is either wear wig, relaxed or a straight natural.
As someone who works with people with hair loss....The traction alopecia cases I have seen caused by frontals is devastating! But then I noticed a pattern, most of these women aren't even self aware enough to see their "problem". When I try to educate them about the dangers of those badly done frontals, they trivialize it. Slowly I went from having empathy for them to resenting and laughing at them. (Not sorry!😂) Then you see the "newly relaxed" crowd ehhh...they should gloat o😂😂😂, when we gloat about all the health issues (ED, Fibroids, CCC Alopecia and Cancer) they will incur because of the use....make dem nor vex o. Since y'all don't value your own lives, who is we to value it for you???
She said😅😂 amount of glues and cements you people put on your hair had me lmao because that's what you women stay away from that shit it's ok to add hair stop with cement and glues no more being g lazy asses well someone had to tell you 😘🙌🫶
I’m angry with this video, because I’m angry with the women in this video. That first woman didn’t even moisturize her hair properly post relaxer. She just ran the product through her hair, AND THEN when she put her hair in a ponytail there was excess product. The rat tail comb didn’t even go through her hair all the way! Just cause your hair is relaxed doesn’t mean it doesn’t get tangled. Notice how the hair texture from the woman in the first video is similar to the woman in the third video. The difference is one learned how to take care of her hair. The more you learn, the easier it is. That second girl angered me even more because it’s clear that this woman didn’t take the time to learn how to take care of her hair. Your hair is dry and you’re crying that you can’t pass a comb through. Crazy. Now yes I love wigs, and Glueless wigs are the way to go. But wigs are not bad because when done correctly, wigs can help your hair grow. And I agree, I hate when someone depends on wigs to define themselves as beautiful. It’s not the genes! You’re just too impatient! To test my hair growth, I made the decision to bleach my hair and got highlights…July 13, 2022 to July 13, 2024, my highlights grew out and my hair is exactly the same length. This showed me that in TWO YEARS my hair grew 12-14 inches. I personally love my hair to my shoulders because it’s too hot for Miami. But now? Now I’ll make it a personal mission to grow my hair waist length because women like this will forever aggravate me.
They keep trying to do their hair as if they are ww. You're black, learn to take care of BLACK hair. If you were meant to have straight hair, God would've given you straight hair. Embrace the things your hair can actually do, not force it to be something it doesn't wanna be.
Let me be devils advocate against team natural: if you want to be natural, cool. It’s nice to embrace your natural beauty. But the thing is there is nothing wrong in saying we are tired of being natural. My hair is natural rn, I love my Afro…. But I also struggle with chronic depression and 4c hair texture I don’t know how to manage. If I braid it, it breaks. If I leave it out it tangles up and breaks when I detangle. But I don’t feel like I can go back to relaxers without yall shaming me (like you’re doing in the comments and this video) and I don’t want to shave my hair off (because everyone will say it’s either I’m an ashawo or I’ve lost my mind). If I relaxed it, I’d at least be able to comb/wash my hair without having a mental breakdown. Let’s normalize letting black women do what they want with their hair, whether it’s team natural, braids, wigs, relaxers or shaving it off. I think the both sides have become mean girls and need to put down the burn book. Again, this is a natural girl talking. Who knows I might just go bald so I can know peace.
@@calypsoandchill girl no one is shaming anyone for having relaxed hair. The second girl the way she handles her natural hair and relaxed hair is so rough, that’s why it’s breaking and it’s gonna continue to break just because of the handling (rat tail comb, combing while wet and tight ponytail)
Natural hair is not the problem, she’s the problem
So true. That rat tail comb test is a sure way to lose all your hair.
That Jim Crow mindset is strong with some people.
It’s not Jim Crow if these are people that are not black Americans. This is just self hate that Africans and then black Americans and black peoples from other places always had for their physical appearance.
THIS! It's giving slave mentality.

Omg. Stay safe. 💕
Even if your hair is relaxed, why on earth would you run a rat tail comb to comb your hair?
That's why their hair is bent and broken
I will admit there was a MOMENT in time when i hated my hair because it would get SO tangled and i would get so frustrated trying to detangle my hair. However, it was my fault because i didnt comb my hair regularly. I would sit and let my hair get tangled up for days. Then when it was time to wash it, i would struggle to detangle, before, during, and after washing it. It was my fault. I neglected my hair and caused the problem.
Now i comb my hair every other day and keep my hair from knotting up. It makes wash day easier too. If i straight my hair, it would go down to my boobs. Lol
Wig heist 😂 my Godd
Exactlyy. Everything you said. Like, relax if you must but stop the dramaaa
Yall should try head band wigs!!! They are easy and such a game changer. This also does not ruin your edges

I honestly think relaxed hair is harder to maintain. Trying not to sweat or get hair wet in the rain was not for me😂😂😂😂 I’ll take my forest all day, but I’m always loving all black hair! Yall sooooooo gorgeous either way ❤❤❤❤
I am doing well! just had a smoothie bowel i made myself!
Yummy!
Calling their hair a forest is so beautiful to me, sad to hear that it’s seen used in a negative way.
I remember being finally GROWN & pissed 😤 that my hair was permed as a child & then I as a teen keep it going until I found & 👀 just how many options I had to explore… & even when it’s “so called nappy” just remember I’m happy & NAPPY 😂❤🎉😊🙏🏾👏🏾🌺🌹🌸🗣️🎤🎶🎶🎶#WOOOO & im 50 in November & been natural for 20 years 🥰😊
That is why I locked my hair. I don’t like wigs, but honestly I honestly don’t have the time and skill and the tolerance of pain that is sometimes required. I think I have found my vibe
The amount of panting and running for a snatched wig. The unlearned lessons. The accumulated laughter that is bursting at the seems.

I can't stop staring at those awful wigs when watching the movies. Ugh.
It's crazy cos even Americans are wannabe latinas cos they PEDASTALISE straight wigs and loose curls. It's embarrassing some people don't even know what real black hair looks like 😂

What's so sad is that the manufacturers of these relaxers won't change the dangerous ingredients. Why would they when black women are still willing to use them.
Colonialism was last century we're in a new century now forget about it.
No hope for some folks huh
It's the truth. Much like slavery was in another century. Get over it.
You may also notice that women criticizing their natural hair that way are often the same bleaching their skin
Oh hey! I did this too 😂
I think it’s definitely a preference and how you want to wear your hair. Y’all need to STOP bullying black women into wearing natural hair! I’m natural but as soon as my hair grows out more I’m going back to relaxing my hair. Wear your hair the way you want to wear it. Stop listening to other people when it’s your hair! Find the best hair care routine for you! And natural hair for me has been horrible but I don’t knock it for others. And guess what you get cancer from Everything so live your life!
Rest. Rest ijn. People who wear relaxed hair bully naturalists. It’s funny how when we call it out it’s us bullying you. Relax your hair all you want no one gives a flying f.

(Not sorry!😂)
Then you see the "newly relaxed" crowd ehhh...they should gloat o😂😂😂, when we gloat about all the health issues (ED, Fibroids, CCC Alopecia and Cancer) they will incur because of the use....make dem nor vex o. Since y'all don't value your own lives, who is we to value it for you???

It's coming online to make videos demonizing 4c hair and making it seem like it's the reason for climate change and inflation that is ridiculous and we are tired of it. The fact that you don't want to do what you really want with your hair for your own betterment because of what people would say is not it.
For what it's worth, if I'm trying to keep my hair away for a long time without touching it, I do 'loose African threading'. I can wear it out and it keeps my hair stretched. Check out West African Doll to see what it looks like. Good luck on your self discovery journey.
I agree..the fact is that it's really hard and time consuming to deal with some types of hair. I have 4c too and I really can't deal with it in it's natural state. Way too stressful.
You're not being the devil's advocate, you literally stated that you didn't know how to manage your hair either, like the woman in the video. Two strand twists are an option. I struggle with depression, and know how to manage my 4c hair. I truly love being black, and love my hair. I have went over a month without caring for my hair due to depression, but i would never blame my hair texture for that, because my hair is not the problem.
