to me, Coolwater used to smell better in the mid to late 90's, then in the 2000's it seems like they reformulated it and it got very warm smelling, which is not my thing but others may like it
Probably to make money off the Cool Water name. I don't blame them. I think it's a wise move on their part. I just want to caution consumers that it smells different.

Iv been wearing cool water since I was sixteen it was my first ever fragrance actually. Love cool water it got me into fragrances still wear it even with the size of my collection. Bought the intense version mainly for collection purposes but once I tried it I really enjoyed it, it's not the same scent profile but it is awesome for fall and winter and I get beast performance 8-10 hours
1990s fans, Not sure if it was product placement but when Snoop mentioned Cool water cologne on Lodi Dodi.... But. That was probably massive for davidoff.
I know it's been 4 years (thanks homepage lol) but I recently got the original cool water and actually loved it... I'm pushing 30 yeah but it's honestly really nice compared to the sea of cheap overbearing ambroxan and middle eastern incense that's floating around... and I also have a soft spot for retro fragrances, like OG CW and Le Male. Intense is actually super good imo, I use it every time I go to the beach or on vacay and it does it for me every time, and the newer Parfum is extremely versatile too.
It's just too common. To the point that Aqua Velva Ice Sport aftershave smells identical to it. You can buy that stuff in most grocery/drug stores for less than $5 and it performs as well as Cool Water.
Great frag. Smells a lot like Versace Eros. It’s a bit less refined with fewer notes but at dry down, it’s really very similar. Has plenty of punch and lasts. Sleeper.

I bought my first bottle of cool water a few weeks ago and off my skin it's not all that strong and smells a bit different than what I remember off the tester strip but even so I enjoy the initial opening and I will keep it just for that alone, the initial blast comes off strong for the first few minutes but dies off afterwards, maybe it's just me, maybe I get olfactory fatigue or maybe it's just not compatible with my skin, but I still like it

I tried this over Thanksgiving when we went Black Friday shopping. I find it a bit generic, but it's an EDP and for the price it's not bad. My New Year's resolution is to buy far fewer fragrances and only high quality ones that I really like, so this one is a pass for me. 😄
I was at a perfume outlet. I smelled countless colognes. This one stood out as just simply very good. At the price, it's hard to beat. I can smell some similarity between this and the original. But the intense is far better, to me. You've smelled some others that have a similar vibe...probably Versace Eros a little, also it reminds me some of Avon's Alpha. But this is better than all of those. And again a fraction of the price of some of them. My main fragrances are DG The One, and Terre D'Hermes; to give you an idea of what I like. I like manly scents. Not into the girlish, flowery, metrosexual scents. 😄
The original takes me back to where i was in the 90s, and it was a great place. Young, no wife and kids🤣🤣 BUT!! It dont replace the fragrances i have with the wife and kids!!!

I blind bought wave last year and intense this year. Wave is nice but the intense wow. I wore it to work a few weeks ago and was complimented at least 3 times each night. I work in a casino as a dealer and the compliments came from my coworkers as well as my customers. First time that any of my smell goods has done this. All with masks on.

Aspen was actually made by the same company and both Fragrances were clones of Green Irish Tweed all 3 created by Pierre Boudon. Coincidence? Probably so.
- i was disappointed when i first found out that it doesn't smell like the original. - i really enjoy the original (even though it is common and synthetic). i was expecting it to be a stronger, slightly darker and more refined version of the original. unfortunately, that is not to be. - and it might be my amateur nose, but i actually enjoy cool water more than GIT. ofc i can smell the quality and GIT, but i feel that cool water is more aquatic (blue) and GIT is greener and i prefer the first.

Nice review, when I have received cool water as a gift whenever i've worn it i'm always surpised when i get a compliment for it, Hot water was another surprised complement getter. So when i have felt they are just pleasent smells, they do appeal to many out there. So Steven fantastic review as i think you descibe this line quite well, in that smell is subjective and the original cool water was a good example of that.

I used rock polo sport back in the day, it was my Jr high school fragrance. Along with CK one.
I love Intense...its almost identical to Kenneth Cole Mankind Hero but lasts all day.
Coconut should go well in the summer, but to me it is too sweet. I really don't like it, smells cheap and sweet.

How long does it last?
Because I had problem with this one. 4 sprays, and after 30 seconds I couldnt feel it anymore! Nothing!
