Bleu De Chanel is my favorite fresh fragrance for a lot of the same reasons that you like this one. Fresh, clean, very non offensive and extremely easy to wear!
Informative and thorough. I like that you speak fast. Ain't nobody got the time to watch 15-20 minute long video reviews of each fragrance (unless it's their all time favourite maybe). I'm thinking of picking up a bottle of this one .
Coach cologne is a cool cologne.its different. Brings compliments. I wore it to church one Sunday morning and gotten alot of compliments from the church girls.one girl wanted to take me home with her after church.
I got the 40ml bottle second hand for $8. I am gonna use this as my home and relax perfume. I smelled this at a department store and the top note was really heavenly to me.
Ralph Lauren Safari has been my favorite for more than 15 years, but this one reallly called my attention. Been getting so many compliments, Coach for Men is definitely one of my top favorites which are Safari, Sauvage, Creed Aventus, and Gucci Guilty. We all have different taste, what we like will definitely be the best for us, whether other people like it or not.
My dad wears "Safari". Grew up stealing sprays out of his bathroom... Have my own collection now, lol. But I will still go in his room every now and then to spray a bit here and there. I need to just bite the bullet and snag my own "safari" bottle. All the same, a great Ralph Lauren scent, and it projects like a savage on my skin.. love the classic bottle as well. Clear glass, and gold trim with the lion's. Great fragrance. Edit: I own every fragrance you listed on your "favorites list", except for "savauge".. have smelled it multiple times, and have even held the bottle inside sephora, as I approached the counter, while contemplating the purchase of the scent. Just could never bring myself around to "copping" it. I enjoy it ok, it just has that generic scent that so many other frags smell like. And, they want like 100 bucks retail price at Sephora. If I ever run across a Macy's flash sell online, or fragnet.com has an online sell, I may go ahead and pull the trigger on it. Anyways, peace be the journey..... And btw, Gucci's "Guilty", and "Aventus" and "Invictus" are both Boomers! But, I never could justify buying Savauge", simply because it smelled so similar to the other 2 you and just mentioned. "Guilty" is by far Gucci's best scent they have from their house, IMHO... Just wished it held projection-wise a bit longer on my skin. That would make it a 10-10, in my eyes... It isn't uncommon to see a designer level fragrance disappoint in the projection department, but every now and again, you run across one that has "eternal" projection and sillage, when it comes to longevity. I love Gucci's "Guilty"!!! It smells good, and it is a compliment magnet! Definitely snags positive feedback, and it does the trick with ladies... Cheers, road dog!!!
My bottle of Gucci Guilty Black was stolen at work. Was super disappointed. Have to replace it. I do like this one as well. It's in my work rotation. Allure Extreme, Coach and Chrome.
My absolute favorite freshy is hands down Dior Sauvage, it’s so synthetic and simple but it has a compliment streak like no other and isn’t too harsh to my nose if I go crazy with it
Haven't bought this cologne but I loved how it smelled on paper and when I first sprayed it on my wrist. I think maybe the spicy and ambergris dry down isn't working with my skin. I tend to go for the citrus colognes that have less spice in them, for warmer weather. Still a very nice cologne and the bottle is beautiful.
Have you tried 'Zegna: Fresh' yet? I think it's fairly new here in the U.S. but it was released a year or more ago. I have 'Z Zegna' and love it, but 'Fresh' isn't something I've even seen in the big stores.
Biggest problem with this cologne is, that it doesn't last more than 2 hours. I love the scent but i have to re spray over and over. What a shame, the smell is to die for.
My wife got this for me she loves it as well but I’d say my favorite fresh sent for this year is probably YSL Y love the sent but wish it performed better same with coach great sent but performance is lacking
Chino Chino agreed I have an extensive collection myself and have nothing that smells quite like it but the fragrance snobs Chaim it’s nothing new or unique but I have to disagree
Bleu de Chanel has a sweet spot in my heart it is one the the colognes that pointed me in the direction to start using and collecting. Although my collection is small still I enjoy watching you videos and my passion for colognes keeps growing. I haven’t wandered too much into the nich realm as some are a little more expensive for me for the time being but will work hard to explore brands like creed, perfum de marly, Tom Ford, etc. Thank you for your work I love you le channel and will continue to watch!!!
My favorite has to be Sauvage. Not entirely on scent alone, but because it smells good and lasts a long time. No other fresh cologne in my collection comes to close to the performance.
I haven’t tried anything from coach yet but I’ll have to check this one out! I have to say dior Sauvage was my first purchase when i got into the frag community videos and it’s my favorite fresh fragrance I have.
Good Evening, I just received this as a Father Day gift and I do enjoy it, around the 4:40 mark you mentioned some other fragrances you purchased at the same time could you tell me what they were? Thank you.
Great video! I really like how you're able to draw comparisons between the scent you're reviewing and other fragrances, it shows the depth of your knowledge and convinces me to watch your other videos
New to the fragrance game and have really enjoyed your reviews. I’d say Bleu de Chanel gets me the most compliments (I guess it’s just a mass appealing kind of scent) BUT my favorite fresh scent is Versace Pour Homme...it gets compliments and I just really enjoy the smell. I live in a very warm locale so fresh is best!
My favorite fresh scent is Royal Mayfair by creed . It’s the most natural fresh Composition & it’s gorgeous to wear in the warmer months ! You seem impressed with citrus opening & that is awesome . Thank you Steven & good luck to all !
Bought this fragrance a few weeks ago. I've been wearing it frequently since. That pear note is dope, I just wish it performed better. Maybe an EDP version coming soon?
Smells like a really good Irish Springs soap to me. I love it haha. Smelled it in a magazine the other day and bought a 200ml bottle on ebay the other night for $54.....is it fake?...Who knows, but it smells good.
Thanks for the chance Steven...My favorite freshy is a newbie and its YSL's Y....This just works for me and on a nice sunny day w a crisp white T-shirt and jeans it's perfect.
Any suggestions on an alternative to Coach for men? I find the performance and projection very poor. Looking for something that smells just like it but with more potency/intensity.
Nice review, was waiting for your take on this one. I bought this a couple months back at Sephora right when I first smelled it. The Asian pear note is what sucked me in. And I definitely get compliments within the first 3 hours. After hour 4 it becomes a skin scent but still smells really nice. So my go-to freshies this year: 1 Coach for men 2 Aventus 3 Armani Code Colonia 4 Dior Sauvage Very Cool Spray 5 Aqua Di Gio Profumo
My favorite is Bleu de Chanel EDT for designer and Virgin Island Water for niche. Nautical Voyage is by far the best value. Certainly looking forward to seeing this in stores to try.
How many sprays are you guys using of this? I’m following the Jeremy Fragrance rule with three on the back of my neck. I know this only lasts as a skin fragrance for about 4 hours, but it seems to fade even sooner. Help?
I caught this on a strip and was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Great review, Steven. My fresh fragrances of choice are John Varvatos artisan Blu, Bvlgari Aqva Amara, and Mont Blanc Legend intense. Can't seem to pick just one so I rotate them.
I like the Coach for Men way more than Dior Sauvage. I think it is way way better and so do all the girls I asked. I just recently started reviewing fragrances myself(been a connoisseur for many many years) but yeah I asked 20 girls and 15 guys what they though was better out of 3 scents Dior Sauvage, Armaf Club De Nuit Intense, and lastly but far from least Coach for Men. 18 girls preferred Coach and 1 Dior, 1 Armaf. Then for the men 12 preferred Coach, 2 Dior, and 1 Armaf. Coach is better all around the sillage and profile of it are great, it lasts for ever and only costs a fraction of Dior. It just smells sexier
I love Pure Grace by philosophy. To me it’s the perfect “soapy” clean scent without smelling too much like soap or fabric softener or floor cleaner. Longevity and projection aren’t that great but for a fresh scent it’s ok. I much prefer the EDP version but it’s hard to come by
First off, great video... you nailed what Coach smells like and presented it very well! My favorite fresh fragrance right now would have to be Gucci Guilty Eau. It’s very inoffensive in my experience and gets many compliments when it lingers in the air.
ive got one. Guess Man. fantastic fresh great for 3 or 4 seasons and has a nice Fir note with woods and is light as a feather with a brisk muskiness. i really like it and is a great day scent for many casual situations. others are Issey Miyake Pour Issey, CK BE and Tommy for Men ; the last 2 alberto morillas compositions are great day freshies with different scents. Finally my champ. Blue Agve by Richard Heprin. just inviting smooth all the way . honorable mention to Molecule 01.
Out of the selections you listed, I like Sauvage whereas my wife actually prefers Blau de Chanel so as you may expect, I'm torn between the two. Of all time (and based on my limited experience), I think Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey Pour Homme qualifies and is one of my faves. I also liked Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue a lot.
Hi steven .... I don't knoe whats up with my thaughts and you i just think of this fragrance today and i pick up my phon and your video about this popped up!! Thanks alot for a brilliant review ....
My favorite Fresh Scent so far is Classic Match Equestrian which is a Polo Blue inspired scent. Its the first fragrance I ever bought. Just getting into the Frag world!!
My favourites are aqua di gio profumo and invictus aqua..next week gonna buy 1 more fragrance.. between dior sauvage n this coach which 1 should i get?
Hi! Nice of you to start giveaways like that! I would watch you either way. My favorite fresh scent I would say it is Zara Vibrant Leather. I do own and like Dior Sauvage, but the Zara one is way more fresh in the opening.
I've always got the blu chanel it's my favorite. I ran out about 4 months ago and have not have time to go get it with all the Christmas things I'm going so this would be nice. Thanks for the opportunity.
You’re right about it being like quite a few other mainstream scents. However, there’s just so,etching about this when I’m wearing it that I like. Not a love, like you said, but an easy like. It’s different enough from Sauvage, bdc, Dylan blue for me to merit some wear.
Nothing in this world makes me feel fresher than spraying Chanel Platnium Egoiste! Only other one I would pick, is Chez Bond. However, I've gone through more bottles of Chanel Platnium Egoiste! It literally is the epitome of fresh, classical elegance!
My favorite freshie is a tie: Terre D'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche and Fahrenheit Summer (2002) by Christian Dior. Eau Tres Fraiche has all the gorgeous grapefruit elements of the original and kind of tones down the cedar/patchouli and amps up the vetiver; niche quality fragrance imo.. Fahrenheit Summer is essentially the vintage formula of Fahrenheit: sweeter than the reform, dark, earthy petrol toned down but not diminished and a very sexy top note of sweet mandarin. Longevity was easily 10 hours with Fahrenheit Summer. Oh, how I miss it.
I just got into fragrances this fall season so the scents I have are all sweets fall and winter fragrances. As soon as the weather changes and the days become warmer I will try Nautica Voyage.
I didn't even know Coach made fragrances for men. The bottle is very nice! The locking cap is a nice touch that I am glad to see catching on (as long as they work well!). Nautica voyage. Sounds like a safe office scent. As usual, another great review. Thank you, sir.
I don't know why FRAG HEADS *HATE* on "MASS APPEALING" scents. I've smelled this and, honestly, it's a very pleasant scent. I believe it definitely serves it's purpose and doors a pretty good job doing so. It's a little more subdued than Suavage I would say but it's DEFINITELY a pleasant Crowd pleaser! Thanks for your review on this Steven! 👍👍
I think this is one of few scents that stuck to my skin for 10 hours. There is something in it that works extremely well with the chemistry of my skin.
Interesting I’ll have to compare it to guilty black , I do have this one and I really like it , I wear it to work a lot easy to wear , when I was smelling stuff at Macy’s out of all the new things it stood out the most
Fresh scents are right down my alley. I mainly only wear fresh scents since where I live it’s very hot. I really enjoy Tommy Bahamas St. Kitts as a fresh scent. I particularly enjoy the vibe from the mandarin orange and star fruit combo.
Hey Steven, I actually have this and I’m pretty happy with it! I was wondering while I don’t wear it out or on dates often which I think it would be fine for, I think it seems to be a great all year round office scent, I get tons of compliments from it! Do you think it’s good for that or should I find something else for the office? Thanks!
Favorite freshie has to be Dior Homme Cologne. Absolutely the best in the dog days of summer. Outside of that, I’m really enjoying Dylan Blue as more of an every day fresh scent.
My prefered fresh fragrance is Aqua Sextius by Jul et Mad and Renaissance by Xerjoff in the niche fragrances and Bvlgari Acqva Amara for the designers Thanks for the review sir!
My favorite fresh scent with a little musky/woodsy tone....you know it already...For now it is John Varvatos Artisan Pure.....I know I'm in the minority but I like it a lot....still!...Kurt
The only fragrances I have from this designer house is the Leatherware offerings 1, 2, and 3. I actual enjoy all 3 and I think they are actually discontinued. Im not sure this one would fit into my wardrobe but do you think it would be suitable for my 14 year old son? Getting him going on his fragrance journey and he's really gotten into wearing fragrances...especially since the ladies are starting to notice! lol
This is a pretty solid fragrance. It's kind of generic in the opening but has a better dry down than sauvage because I believe the notes for this composition accentuate the ambroxan quite nicely.
I've been wearing fragrances for about ten years now and recently dove in deep with collecting, but I've never been a fresh scent kind of guy. I'm more into a dark and fruity vibe. The one fresh fragrance that has caught my attention is Bulgari Aqua Atlantic Pour Homme. I know it hasn't gotten great reviews, kind of average, but I love it for a fresh fragrance. That's one of my next purchases for sure.
My favorite Freshy - Blu D' Chanel, hands down - no doubt about it
Congratulations! You are the winner of the giveaway! Send me an e-mail at Steven@redolessence.com !
Congrats!
Congratulations!
Thank you steven
Thank you
Bleu De Chanel is my favorite fresh fragrance for a lot of the same reasons that you like this one. Fresh, clean, very non offensive and extremely easy to wear!

Coach cologne is a cool cologne.its different. Brings compliments. I wore it to church one Sunday morning and gotten alot of compliments from the church girls.one girl wanted to take me home with her after church.
Yeah church girls are the biggest freaks.
sounds like that cologne is the devil.
Hahaha
That girl needs to repent, and born again... lol!!!!!
I got the 40ml bottle second hand for $8. I am gonna use this as my home and relax perfume. I smelled this at a department store and the top note was really heavenly to me.
I wear this to work. I get a lot of compliments. Pairs well with a lightly pine scented deodorant with my chemistry.
Nice review. This is the fragrance that I bought first when I started getting back to wearing cologne again. It is in my spring rotation as well.
That's awesome! Great picks!
this is my second year buying this cologne for my boyfriend as a Christmas present, I really love the way this smells
Ralph Lauren Safari has been my favorite for more than 15 years, but this one reallly called my attention. damn that bottle is gorgeous the gradient the dark metal the coach and horse the sprayer i gotta get my nose on this

Ufcfan 4201 Love Ysl Y! Very underrated!!!
Chino Chino agreed I have an extensive collection myself and have nothing that smells quite like it but the fragrance snobs Chaim it’s nothing new or unique but I have to disagree
@@WiCeDTuNa I think they were just dissatisfied with it being ysl. They expected too much
Bleu de Chanel has a sweet spot in my heart it is one the the colognes that pointed me in the direction to start using and collecting. this fragrance just smells pleasant and fresh as hell ... this and jimmy choo man are my favorite fragrances
At the moment, my favorite scent is Armani Code Profumo. Its winter now in London, and I love wearing this when I go out for the evening
Love this fragrance. Shouldn't have bought retail though, I could've saved so much
Good Evening, I just received this as a Father Day gift and I do enjoy it, around the 4:40 mark you mentioned some other fragrances you purchased at the same time could you tell me what they were?
Thank you.
Great video! I really like how you're able to draw comparisons between the scent you're reviewing and other fragrances, it shows the depth of your knowledge and convinces me to watch your other videos
Just picked it up and I love it ❤️ smell is nice and time passes by and I still smell it
Thanks for sharing!
This fragrance is amazing, easily in my top list.. & I have a pretty big collection
Dude why does this amazing fragrance get the rap that this is for younger crowd?
I do somewhere between 6 and 8. Thank you for watching!
This is a 5 to 6 sprays cologne
I don't think it's fake. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the chance Steven...My favorite freshy is a newbie and its YSL's Y....This just works for me and on a nice sunny day w a crisp white T-shirt and jeans it's perfect.
Top notch review as always! Great job Steven!
Thanks!
Any suggestions on an alternative to Coach for men? I find the performance and projection very poor. Looking for something that smells just like it but with more potency/intensity.
Samelove the smell but doesn’t last long at all
My favorite is Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme EDT
Che Hanson eau extreme is an EDP
It use to be a edt and the crazy thing about it it was stronger as a edt
Bulgari aqua amara is my favorite freshie for sure, greetings from Venezuela.
I went to Ulta to buy bleu de Chanel EDP for my hubby, and came across this one. Love it, thinking I may get this for him next time.
Nice review, was waiting for your take on this one. I bought this a couple months back at Sephora right when I first smelled it. The Asian pear note is what sucked me in. And I definitely get compliments within the first 3 hours. After hour 4 it becomes a skin scent but still smells really nice. So my go-to freshies this year:
1 Coach for men
2 Aventus
3 Armani Code Colonia
4 Dior Sauvage Very Cool Spray
5 Aqua Di Gio Profumo
Coach is a beast on my skin and I get alot of compliments
I own Nautica Voyage and it's my most complimented fragrance by far for some reason! love it
coz of its good projection
My favorite is Bleu de Chanel EDT for designer and Virgin Island Water for niche. Nautical Voyage is by far the best value.
Certainly looking forward to seeing this in stores to try.
Favorite freshy right now is Versace Dylan blue and Armaf Tres Nuit. I wear both of these to work and constantly get compliments
How many sprays are you guys using of this? I’m following the Jeremy Fragrance rule with three on the back of my neck. I know this only lasts as a skin fragrance for about 4 hours, but it seems to fade even sooner. Help?
I would do about 6. Back of the neck is a good rule of thumb for sillage.
Perfect for the gym :) also a very nice one is Everlast
I caught this on a strip and was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Great review, Steven. My fresh fragrances of choice are John Varvatos artisan Blu, Bvlgari Aqva Amara, and Mont Blanc Legend intense. Can't seem to pick just one so I rotate them.
I just got this for Father’s Day , reminded me a lot Lacoste essentials .
That essentials dropped my panties a couple of times
Need to try it. I believe my sample perfume has it in a 1ml which is a great way to test some of these freagreances.
Paid 104 for it, didnt regret it. pretty good fragrance
I consider Bleu de Chanel to be a great freshie.
One of the best colognes I have ever worn
I love Pure Grace by philosophy. To me it’s the perfect “soapy” clean scent without smelling too much like soap or fabric softener or floor cleaner. Longevity and projection aren’t that great but for a fresh scent it’s ok. I much prefer the EDP version but it’s hard to come by
Great information as always. I just started trying out Dunhill Icon and will be using it more frequently once the warm weather hits.
abercrombie and fitch first instinct or coach for men ? Which is better for compliments and hot weather?
Coach!
First off, great video... you nailed what Coach smells like and presented it very well! My favorite fresh fragrance right now would have to be Gucci Guilty Eau. It’s very inoffensive in my experience and gets many compliments when it lingers in the air.
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the review! I was about to get it but I already own Gucci Guilty Black and didn't know it's similar.
ive got one. Guess Man. fantastic fresh great for 3 or 4 seasons and has a nice Fir note with woods and is light as a feather with a brisk muskiness. i really like it and is a great day scent for many casual situations. others are Issey Miyake Pour Issey, CK BE and Tommy for Men ; the last 2 alberto morillas compositions are great day freshies with different scents. Hi steven .... I don't knoe whats up with my thaughts and you i just think of this fragrance today and i pick up my phon and your video about this popped up!! Thanks alot for a brilliant review ....
My current favourite freshie is good old Versace pour homme. It works well on my skin and I get a fair number of compliments with it.
Thank you for sharing!
Awesome! I'm happy to be doing these giveaways!
Hello Steven, nice one. Never tried any Coach fragrance. My favorite fresh scent is probably Creed's Virgin Island Water.
I like a lot of fresh fragrances but at the moment I would choose Bleu De Chanel as my favorite. Great video. Thanks for sharing your opinion.
I've always got the blu chanel it's my favorite. I ran out about 4 months ago and have not have time to go get it with all the Christmas things I'm going so this would be nice. Thanks for the opportunity.
Love your reviews videos Steven! My favorite fresh fragrance is Azzaro Chrome
I love it... this one and Toy Boy by Moschino have become my top favorite scents ever!
how much is the longevity of this perfume thinking to buy one......
You’re right about it being like quite a few other mainstream scents. However, there’s just so,etching about this when I’m wearing it that I like. Not a love, like you said, but an easy like. It’s different enough from Sauvage, bdc, Dylan blue for me to merit some wear.
Favorite Freshie- Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Superman Eau Fraiche or The Popye One, Same Thing.
Nice
My favorite freshies are Nautica Voyage and Dior Sauvage. Great video Steven!
Would you choose this over Dunhill Icon Elite for both office and casual ?
I would!
Nothing in this world makes me feel fresher than spraying Chanel Platnium Egoiste! Only other one I would pick, is Chez Bond. However, I've gone through more bottles of Chanel Platnium Egoiste! It literally is the epitome of fresh, classical elegance!

Yup! Give it a shot if you get the chance!
I received this fragrance in the mail today and I love it
I don't know why FRAG HEADS *HATE* on "MASS APPEALING" scents. 👍👍
Yes, I was thinking about Gucci Pour Homme black!! Thank you for the review 🙏
You're welcome!
I think this is one of few scents that stuck to my skin for 10 hours. There is something in it that works extremely well with the chemistry of my skin.
Just bought it. None of those “beast mode” performing colognes work on me. This one though, amazing. I think it’s the ambroxan.
Interesting I’ll have to compare it to guilty black , I do have this one and I really like it , I wear it to work a lot easy to wear , when I was smelling stuff at Macy’s out of all the new things it stood out the most
Great review as always. Nice composition. My fav freshie is the classic l'Eau d'Issey. Not the best longevity but it is good while it lasts.
Just bought a 0.5 fl oz bottle at Ross for 20 bucks. Smells amazing.
Fresh scents are right down my alley. I mainly only wear fresh scents since where I live it’s very hot. I really enjoy Tommy Bahamas St. Kitts as a fresh scent. I particularly enjoy the vibe from the mandarin orange and star fruit combo.
Thank you for sharing!
I swear by Versace Man Eau Fraiche..! Such a good freshie and compliment magnet..!😝😝
Favorite fresh is most definitely Dior Sauvage but I've tested this one and I enjoy it a lot. Living in the warmer weathers and it works fine
My favorite fresh fragrance is between 2 newish colognes YSL Y and Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. But I'm going with Y by YSL
My favorite freshy is a toss up between Dior Sauvage & Nautica Voyage. Thanks for another giveaway Steven :)
Thank you for sharing!
My prefered fresh fragrance is Aqua Sextius by Jul et Mad and Renaissance by Xerjoff in the niche fragrances and Bvlgari Acqva Amara for the designers
Thanks for the review sir!
Best freshy has to be Versace pour homme / Chanel allure sport
I really love your reviews... Good job!💯😉👍
My favorite fresh scent with a little musky/woodsy tone....you know it already...For now it is John Varvatos Artisan Pure.....I know I'm in the minority but I like it a lot....still!...Kurt
Great review Steve! My favorite freshy is Sauvage...Compliments every time!
You're The best rewier overall! Great job! Big fan of yours!
My favorite is indeed Bleu de Chanel.

As always Thanks Steven .....my all Time favorite is Blue de Channel.....
