Joe is so real, humble, shy, can tell....but when he got on stage at the First Albert Hall, he OWNED IT! AS much as I Truly love his music, he is like a transformer when he gets on stage to play...

Great interview, Kylie. Joe is obviously so comfortable with you and you bring out the best in him making him even more likeable and down to earth than he already appears. It felt like earwigging the pair of you having a chat in a pub. Oh, and "jumper"; I think Joe is slowly becoming an actual Englishman. :o)

I Lived around the corner from the Bonamasa’s when joe was a kid. I would pass him in the stairwell at K music taking lessons from Carmen. Didn’t know him personally but we all knew smokin joe in Utica. Used to watch him play all over town. Now of course he’s a legend and I still venture out to DPAC when he comes through NC. Phenomenal guitar player. I’m still waiting to get my Bloodline cd autographed.

As a guitar instructor, i must say that i will always try to find a way to make playing a part easier for my students but everyone is different so as long as the student is able to play what is required, their thumb placement is almost irrelevant. It's supposed to be fun so play how you feel comfortable and if your instructor can't, or won't accept this then maybe you have the wrong instructor. I also play with my thumb wrapped around the neck, as do many of top players and in no way stops me playing what i want to play so enjoy the instrument and have fun learning. Great interview by the way.

Joe B. and Nuno B. are 2 of the world's best guitar players & 2 of the world's worst potty mouths! It's not cool to cuss and drop the f-bomb in front of little kids at your concerts. You know the grown-ups are bringing their children to the live shows, and the kids look up to you & call you things like "guitar hero". It's not enough to just be a positive musical influence on our youth. You need to be a positive MORAL influence on them as well.
