Just a few years ago when someone would say “active humbucker” the immediate thought would be “EMG”. But fishman has taken over the entire industry, top tier gear all around. Holy cow!
From the description above: "Greg’s Signature Series P90s are deeply rooted in tradition." The Fluence P90s are not based on "modern tones." The Fluence models based on modern tones are the "FLUENCE MODERN 6-STRING HUMBUCKER PICKUPS."
I bought the Gristle Master set for Tele, I started to put it all in a Fender Telecaster and was missing some parts. I sent a message to Fishman and they sent the missing parts, now I just need to install it all and play the Guitar 🎸 P90'S will be my text Purchase, either that or I can smell New Guitar Day is coming soon 😀✌👍🎸👏Great Channel and Content
@@mattbenassi6086 I installed them a couple weeks ago and they sounds freaking fantastic! I recorded a before and after through an SM57 and a 4x12. I'll send you a link once I upload it.
@@redbuttonmatt That would be AWESOME, thank you! I have the PRS SE 277 Baritone, so my other question for you is - what did you do for the battery? Did you get the universal battery, drill a hole in the control cover and mount it inside? Outside?
I’m so happy this was recommended to me randomly. I have a tele with p90’s and I’ve been debating upgrading them and these sound dreamy! The fluency series has been out of control!
Interesting! If anything, the criticisms I’ve seen of Fluence have been the opposite - they’re too clear and detailed for some people. (FWIW, I love how articulate they are). Just goes to show how we all hear things differently!
I totally agree David. I wanted to love Fishman's. I had Fluence's on my Strandberg a few years ago and I just could not get along with them. They just played a little dead to me. I kept changing strings thinking that was the problem, then finally replaced them with some old Duncans and it was a huge improvement. I've since put Bare Knuckles on that guitar and it kills. I put these p90's on a Les Paul gold top to try them out and...again...dead feeling. I threw back in the Gibsons. I just don't get it. And I love Greg Koch. Maybe I'm just used to regular pickups but Fluence sound just a little lifeless. Very cool that you can get so many sounds out of them though.

Fishman absolutely killing this these days with these modern tones

I've been waiting for noiseless P90s specifically for high gain nonsense.
These are just perfect for that 😎
Fantastic review! Great work . . . I hope to hear more reviews from you!
Rad! I’m looking into getting the new Solar Tele, might have to put those P90’s in that guitar
These pickups sound ridiculously good. Got me obsessed for the last couple months how have I not got some yet? I don’t know.
Smashing it as always Nick
I bought a set as soon as I saw the notice they were released. They are going straight in my PRS P90 baritone.
That sounds like an excuse for me to get a PRS baritone… 😏
@@NickJennison Do it!
That's exactly what I want to do! Have you done it yet and how do they sound?

I'm not a P90 guy, but this set is fantastic. Best I've ever heard personally.
If you pull both 2 pots and play it. What will happen with the sound?, Will it be hotter single coil sound?
Bout time we got a Fishman P90
What happens when both push/pulls are engaged?
The “Voice 3” push pull overrides the “Voice 1/2” push pull :)
Any info about the price? The Koch Telecaster kit is around 350€ at Thomann so I'm not very optimistic about these ones...
Nice review. Did you impale a chicken with your headstock?
The “I’ve been waiting for noiseless p90s forever” comment had me dying lol. Shhh no one tell him
Now I want a 24 fret with p90s
This is *the most consummate sound* what i ever heard from guitar.
But does it djent
If you must
I'll put them into my PRS SE 277 Semi-Hollow baritone, and we'll see 😁
@@StanSinitsky keep me updated stan. I was planning on putting the bridge into my se one korina
@@redcomn no problem, man.
The video producers have discovered that all pickups sound pretty much the same 'dirty'.
Your A strings needs intonated .
No sparkle or detail just like every other Fluence pickup I've tried.
