I can dig it! Man, I am 46 and was a teen in the 90's. Back then there was Fender Gibson and their less expensive divisions. Everything else seemed like a lesser guitar. These days it's so exciting because there are amazing guitars everywhere. This is fabulous example. Nobody is strapping on this darling and feeling like they are playing anything but a top tier instrument.
Always a pleasure to hear you play, Jack! Fire that thing back up and lets hear some clean tones?! Love that those pickups are so quiet. Totally looking forward to a Greg Koch interview!!
Those are beasts! Sound absolutely incredible and look like a car from the 40s or something. Makes me think of old film 🎞 noir movies or something. My favorite Reverend guitar so far, I do love Greg’s gristlemaster as well though. Incredible playing as always, really complimented the guitar. I think Greg would be impressed, gristle approved playing can you dig it?
If you were not watching someone plays this guitar you could easily think you were hearing a les paul. These guitars sound really big and resonate. To me they have that crunchy but clear depth of each string when strumming chords like the les paul does. Nice and fat sound without the traditional twanginess of most tele style guitars. I'm all in on these.
Other than the Tele shape, it's closer to a Les Paul Special than anything else. Same scale length, set neck, ebony board, tune-o-matic, P90s... bonus tones and quiet. Might as well be all in!
Yay Jack & gristle 90 both sound great. Just my luck at 5:43 the camera goes for an extreme close up on picking hand and Jack rips off a suh-weet lick in 1st position! 😢
Great playing as ever, Jack. Awesome looking and sounding axe, would love to hear some BB or Peter Green licks on the out of phase tone. Pricey for a non US build, but that’s not unheard of nowadays.
Great demo as always from Jack...he's an endless riff machine and then some!!! I recently bought a gremlin from you guys and just wondered what effects were used in the demo if any? Sounds Amazing!!!! Kind Regards in advance Steve.
Great review, Jack. I am one of the lucky ones to have bought a Venetian Gold Gristle 90 from the first batch, and I couldn't be happier. Love my "Golden Gristle"! One thing that I hope comes through your demos, is just how incredibly VERSATILE this instrument is. When it comes to tones, it's the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker.
Neither. Comes in a box. I had to buy a Rev hard case separately, and it didn't really seem to work perfectly with the Bisby. I'd go with a quality bag if I were you. Mono makes a nice one.
These 3 guitars remind me a lot of the Duesenberg productions and I would not be surprised if they are manufactured in the same plant... Reverend has got a lot of proprietary stuff, between which their spring for the Bigsby. I have replaced the standard one I had with their version and it's a day and night difference: smooth, precise and keeps the guitar in tune, a bit like... Duesenberg ;-)
I love Duesenberg guitars. I've been interested in this GK Reverend lineup, but I'm a small guy with small hands. These guitars seem to be oversized, which makes me wary. But they look and sound fantastic.
Too bad it does not come with a fixed bridge, but I think it is removable.... I am interested in putting those pick ups in my 1999 Gibson Little Lucille !
Exactly my thoughts, I'd have one if I could get it fixed bridge. I've been wanting a P90 guitar for ages and not fancied anything. I absolutely love this but don't get on with bigsbys
top guitar and top vid. I have one of these on the way and can't wait. Nicely unique features but trad / classic tones and looks. Literally nothing I don't like.
Its a nice sounding guitar BUT will not stay in tune unless you wrap the strings around the middle roller and forget the bigsby arm altogether! I have a black one from you £1499 delivered in a flimsy cardboard box no case for that sort of money wtf!
I'm hoping it's just a combination of EQ settings and amplifier because that sounds absolutely terrible. Great playing, amazing look and design, excellent review,b but terrible tones coming out of that :(
Love the guitar but have a suggestion for future reviews. I think it would be helpful slightly less "jamming" and a bit more demo of the features. When you're doing the playing, you often do something very quickly to the controls, but you don't take the time to say, "let me switch between in-phase and out-of-phase so you can hear the difference" or "here's the difference between the "normal mode" or the "mid-boost" mode". You describe them well, but once you start playing, you adjust controls but your hands are moving too fast and the camera is too far away to see exactly what you're doing.
Ah the new Gristle Koch axe Very cool but think I like the original better Bigsby options on the Tele model would be kinda cool Ride that horse while it's hot Really should show case the Koch Greg amp....only thing that rivals the Tone Kings in my opinion
Ah yes, because Gibson famously sells a guitar that has an enlarged Tele body with a raised centre and modern active P90s. Or any guitar that comes close to the same spec for less than 2 grand.
''More of a rythym style'' are youy serious. Totally irrelevant comment. Have you heard Greg play lead guitar on this. It's totally a solo capable guitar. Great playing on your part by the way.
I can dig it!

Definitely Greg Koch personified as a guitar. Love it! 🎵

Mighty fine playing Jack.
Awesome guitar, Reverend knocked it outta the park with this model.
Such a great player. One of the best if not the best demo guys on TH-cam.
Looks way better than a regular tele
THANK YOU for putting some real distortion on this! So many reviews play it only clean or with light drive. I want to hear those p90s SCREAM! 🤠
I would like to hear it clean too.
Bring these videos back! Love getting Jack's thoughts on the guitars.
What pedals did you use in this video? Would love to know!
You make that guitar shine. Awesome player!
Hey, Jack - it's NOT a longer scale length, it's Gibson scale.
I was just about to point out it is Gibson scale length (24 3/4")
11:01 Your three bends make me smile!

Very nice guitars, if only there was a no-Bigsby option!
24¾" scale, 12" (Gibson) radius, bound ebony fingerboard... what's not to love?
Nice to see Jack giving his Stones/Black Crowes chops a workout.
Wish they could have kept the cost inline with other models. Reverends signature models are getting up in price.

Sounds really nice and Bright.
bright yes indeed thats really a nice description
@@Sabbatical_k haha way to go on the details.
Can you DIG IT??
WOOOOOOOOOO...
FELLAS!!
Ready to engage in vigorous rockcraft
Time to engage in spirited musical congress! What?!?
Fiendish rock lord of both day and night
Great playing as ever, Jack. Awesome looking and sounding axe, would love to hear some BB or Peter Green licks on the out of phase tone. Pricey for a non US build, but that’s not unheard of nowadays.
Seriously Jack....one of the THE best players around. Always enjoy the vids! Keep up the great work. Big fan from the 🇺🇲!
Nice Demo. What's in the signal path? Effects? Tone King Gremlin?
Great demo as always from Jack...he's an endless riff machine and then some!!! I recently bought a gremlin from you guys and just wondered what effects were used in the demo if any? Sounds Amazing!!!! Kind Regards in advance Steve.
It should be Ebony fretboard, and not rosewwood as said in the video. Nice video and nice guitar anyway.
Those new P90's just sing.

That guitar looks gigantic!!!!
Imperial/metric conversion issues likely. 😏
Greg is 6 foot 6" so he had his guitar made bigger to look normal when he uses them
Does it come with an hard case or a gig bag ?
Neither. Comes in a box. I had to buy a Rev hard case separately, and it didn't really seem to work perfectly with the Bisby. I'd go with a quality bag if I were you. Mono makes a nice one.

I think reverend and duesenberg are both made in mirr music in Korea but I could be wrong
Too bad it does not come with a fixed bridge, but I think it is removable.... I am interested in putting those pick ups in my 1999 Gibson Little Lucille !
There's a fixed bridge version, but it has the single-coil fluence pickups instead of P90s.
Exactly my thoughts, I'd have one if I could get it fixed bridge. I've been wanting a P90 guitar for ages and not fancied anything. I absolutely love this but don't get on with bigsbys
How are those pickups going to go into an old or old style germanium fuzz?
Probably as well as P90’s go into your mom.
top guitar and top vid. I have one of these on the way and can't wait. Nicely unique features but trad / classic tones and looks. Literally nothing I don't like.
Nice sounds. I'm curious what the amp setup is.
@@Worthlesstrash1986 I see. The amp is shown in the video. Thanks!
Buttersquatch...lol!
I’d like to Hardtail that bad boy. Blue one sounds better.
Are those P90s battery powered?
Yes
If you push the little knob an active circuit "kicks in". So partially yes.
I don't know what I like best - his playing or his hair
Fellas!..
Are they nitro?
Gloss I think unfortunately
@@paulcowart3174 nitro is glossy
Nice axe. Great playing
What fuzz at 12:50?
Nice review.
Awesome demo, Jack!! I’m pretty sold on this thing!
Dang, those are gorgeous! Only one improvement to suggest: Please paint the headstock the same colour as the body...
Get the black one..? It's the coolest one anyway.
@@JohannesLabusch I agree im seriously thinking of doing the black one
Total badass !!!
Was this entire demo through the Tone King Gremlin??
Not sure which model but I just got a Gremlin and am absolutely blown away and I've been playing professional for 25 of my 45 years of playing
Wow...
That's all I got...
Cheers 🍻
A raucous sawtooth is not my cup of tea.
Its a nice sounding guitar BUT will not stay in tune unless you wrap the strings around the middle roller and forget the bigsby arm altogether! I have a black one from you £1499 delivered in a flimsy cardboard box no case for that sort of money wtf!
have you liked it sir ?
Love the guitar but not a huge fan of the pickups.
I'm hoping it's just a combination of EQ settings and amplifier because that sounds absolutely terrible. Great playing, amazing look and design, excellent review,b but terrible tones coming out of that :(
TIL Fishman makes P90s
1900 for an overseas made guitar with a poly finish is a joke. And it doesnt even come with a usa made bigsby. Dude Reverend is insane
Spider Man?

I'd rather buy the real thing, instead of some over priced knock-off.
Fortunately Socialism hasn't fully taken over the woke world and we are blessed with a system that allows choice, three cheers for Capitalism.
Ah yes, because Gibson famously sells a guitar that has an enlarged Tele body with a raised centre and modern active P90s.
Or any guitar that comes close to the same spec for less than 2 grand.
Hip hip
So whats the knock off to this model? Cause this guitar is its own thing.
''More of a rythym style'' are youy serious. Totally irrelevant comment. Have you heard Greg play lead guitar on this. It's totally a solo capable guitar. Great playing on your part by the way.
Nice Keefy riffs
