CARP FISHING IN LONDON - Big carp on the docks

- Fishing London's Docks is something that has always appealed to me; with my houseboat being a stones throw away from one of my favourites plenty of adventures were on the cards. This small deep-dock in Central London is home to some awesome carp and I set my sights on catching a few of them live for the cameras.

@@jacoblondoncarper4857 I think a UK carp angler shooting a campaign video in the US would be well received. (Carl & Alex did a couple a while ago, but they fished HUGE lakes.)
However, I don’t think decent carp lakes (holding large carp) are as plentiful, but I’m sure you would still have a lot of fun and a proper challenge catching, especially River Carp!

great video mate, could u not use ur bank stick stands screw them to the boards and them put ur distance sticks in them ? just a thought
Potentially, I know a few friend do this. When there’s no one else fishing, walking the board is the fastest way so I’ve only ever done that.

Hey Jacob great stuff mate! those fish were awesome and its pretty cool to catch fish right the the heart of the City! Thats something we share as I live in Hamilton NZ which has the Waikato River running right through the middle and is stuffed with Carp.

I am one of the few carp anglers in the US and it is way easier to catch them here but we don't have as meny mirrors here very cool stuff bro keep it up.
What sort of sizes do you guys get over there?
Most are in the the 6 to 10 pound range but 20 pounder are not uncommon and there some 40 pounders my firend has got like two 40s pounders my biggest is 24 right now
In Az, 20 + quite frequent on canal, 3 mins from home

One 90min session 8, 10, 12, 18lbs.
Just as I started to know what I’m doing.
Haven’t even tried maggots yet.
Chum with birdseed and started recently making own boilies.
But,, mostly bass fish lately tbh

I remember fishing for Eels at night and Tench by day in Canada Dock (as it was called then) just after the docks closed as a lad of thirteen, only fifty years ago now lol.

There used to be a massive koi in there, white and orange one, caught a 3lb perch out of there when 20 years ago as well.

Well done. Fished there when I was young (late 90's), float fishing, used to catch monster Rudd, 1 lb plus cast after cast. Not sure the state of small fish in there now. But great to see it being well maintained & run.

Hey, thanks😃 So I use 10ft scopes for 90% of my fishing, they fold down nicely but also have enough strength to cast over 100 yards.

Some amazing fish there m8, I used to fish as a kid/teenager the. I found beer cars and lady’s!! Now as a farther I’m looking to get back into it. See people like your self really gives me inspiration. Iv got a pond at home with koi and a few ghost carp and mirror and a few commons. The ghost are around 12lb so can see from the size of them to they ones you pulled out m, very impressing.
Do you also fish from your house boat as well?

Also, the water here is saline as there’s other sea fish like the flats. Do carp live in saline water? seems odd to me, sorry for al the questions, I’m fascinated by the Docks wildlife 😀 it’s quite unique

Would drive me insane there. Hats off to anyone who could enjoy it as there are some nice fish but it would do my head in. I mean I've moved to Germany now and fish Forest lakes quite literally in the middle of huge untouched forests and there are lots here to enjoy but even when I lived in the UK, I sought out these types of water although they were more few and far between. Anyway good video
