While on yet another mission in the city seeking more sunny day surface fish, I find something very special that not I or anyone ever thought could even be found where it is.
The craziest part is that I was originally trying to catch something quite mundane instead, until my gaze suddenly fell upon the now newly discovered specimen, which would turn out to be resting in my net just a few minutes later.
To top it off, I still ended up catching a target fish at another even more productive location. The infamous Pin Head, which unlike the day's unique catch, has not only been seen many times before, but also been hooked just as many (if not more)

Mr. Liner, have you ever considered fishing at a garden center? Loads of Koi, no security guards, police or 'no fishing' signs. All good mate, get stuck in. ;-) Can't wait to see the vid.

Koi’s are actually quite common in the U.K. water ways as some of got in via floods and some have just been released as people have got bored of taking care of them.😢

Mate, you’d love so many of the downtown area fisheries in the US. I live in Indianapolis and it has multiple tributaries and canals off of the main river that run through the city. You can catch trophy smallmouth bass, and trophy carp/catfish. It’s absolutely insane.
Small coal mining towns in West Virginia (where I’m moving) have cold streams that come out from the mines and they hold massive wild brown and rainbow trout. You find amazing fisheries in towns like this all over the USA. If you ever have a chance to visit, find someone who fishes in the area you’re going and ask them about it. You’ll find great fishing.

As long as you have a licence to fish, the police cannot arrest you for fishing anyway, it's to do with the waterways and fisheries,

Fishing is illegal in London or just keeping the fish?
Depends on where you are i think.
Fishing is legal but you cannot fish where you like such as nature reverses or lakes on private land for example. But all over the UK, you have public lakes and rivers and canals you can legally fish and all you need is a fishing rod license which helps maintain them
If you happen to catch a pure white with red spot on it’s head,these are worth thousands to Koi Collectors!🤑🤑🤑

You are allowed to take it as long as you have a rod licence, as it is non native. however I'd always advocate for catch and releasd
Bumped in to Will Smith fishing the exact same spot just a week back. Nailed two zanders on a fly tipped with double caster. Showed some serious fishing prowess in his matching Jordan trainers and shell suit
