Just subscribed.. Great presentation my friend very smooth & precise, been waiting for a vid like this, its answered my Last few queries before purchasing one.👍P.s does video suffer from micro jitters / dropped frames when slowly panning 180 degrees as my TH-cam channel is focused on slow stationery panning shots of the access etc to river fishing for people who aren't very able. Most flagship phones seem to have the same problem.? Quite annoying..! Thanks again 100%😁👍
Great video Jonathan! Just opened and setup my phantom brown S21U 512gb last night. I'm no pro when it comes to picture taking, your videos are both helpful and timely. Keep em coming and Stay Safe!
SUCH a good tutorial! I know you said this is a more "rugged" way of explaining things but damn I've saved this video cause it was PACKED with so many great tips! Thanks so much for this!
G8 tutorial bro...I have discovered lots of hidden potential from it for my S21 ultra..By applying so i have captured some really diffentiating shots...thanks....keep it up...
I just discovered the PRO MODE on my Note 10 Plus. And now that I have I want the S21 Ultra to put on the moment lens. Thanks for posting. I was the thumbnail that got me in here, but the content was great. My next review video has a lot of PRO MODE in use and I wish I knew about this for my other reviews. Better late than never! 😎
@@guledosman8512 I thought about it 🤔 but man it's a good phone!! Honestly it's quiet versatile as a phone, for photo and video as for editing and gaming sooo.. that fair 👌
I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 and I am thinking about upgrading to the Galaxy S21 Ultra because I am an amateur photographer. I have a Nissan DSL which I used for 2 years. I specialize in flower and tree photos, especially in macro mode. I am realizing I can use the Samsung because it is so much easier on my hands and wrists, in terms of weight and flexibility. I have read that there are clip-on lenses for cell phones and I saw one in your video. I want to know more about which clip- ons I should buy to see if it is worth upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. I want to go professional and sell my macro shots. I really enjoyed your video. It is clear, understandable, and comprehensive. I was a teacher for 40 years so you get an A+ from me!
Thank you. I use s22 and 23 to record my toys. Initially i set all to auto. But after great footage being thrown out I want to learn. I record toys that constantly moving. I'm subbing to learn more. Thank you for sharing!
Needed this! I have been using Pro mode lots to take long exposures and panning photography with the help of ND filters. Getting some good shots but still lots to learn.
Somebody!! I just spent like $50 buying several different mirrors to put on my case so that I can see what I am doing when using the higher quality cameras to do selfies/vlogging, and none of them work. You either get a funhouse mirror or one where you can only see one eyeball holding the camera at a distance. We need and deserve a solution for this. I know I'm not the only one!! If I had known I was buying products that suck I would have bought an S-pen instead!!
Please let me know when the product I need comes out. I'll have this phone for awhile because I'm not the type to upgrade with every new thing that comes out. I had a dream once where all the old phones people abandoned for upgrades connected into giant robots with lasers and they were hunting their old users like pissed off discarded girlfriends. They weren't coming after me cause I'm one of those environmentally conscious people who doesn't like to add to tech waste so it was actually quite hilarious seeing people running from the lasers.
Hey Jonathan Casey! Ok now that I've got your attention lol. I would love to see a high dynamic range photo taken with pro mode on this phone edited in something that everyone has access to(free version of lightroom) since you lose out on HDR in pro mode. Maybe take a jpeg of a landscape and show how the sky/trees/grass are very "Samsung saturated" and then take a pro mode version of it and edit it(while showing us how) to look more natural, maybe take down the highlights and tweak the shadows to see how it compares to Samsungs HDR? Alot of people know how to use pro mode and how to make manual photos, but it's the editing (in a free platform that everyone can have access to) is the real kicker. That would be an awesome video by you since this thing can do 12 bit raw :-)
Just a correction for the advanced video settings, the reason the HDR10+ setting was greyed out is because you had set it to record in UHD 60fps....HDR10+ is only available when shooting in 30 and 24fps
Thanks for the tips! Was really hoping using the Pro Video mode on this phone would allow you to keep ISO in auto while manually adjusting the shutter speed. Always feel when using auto mode video on phones the shutter speed is all over the place.
I just got the S21 ultra and will be going to Florida soon I want to shoot video and photos what settings would be to get great looking shots while not over thinking and enjoying our vacation.
Great video. I did know about pro mode on images since i have a Note 8 that supports it. But the Pro video mode was interesting to look at. Great stuff!! Enjoy your content :)
WOW!!! If this wasn't so clearly explained and shown, it would be sensory overload and time to watch an old Batman video just to decompress. Keep doing what you do, JC! Liked the way the information was presented. I did not know that much was possible on Pro Mode. Now I do! Check Scheepers comment. Is he correct? Thanks
Great info but be careful to keep your hand out of the way! Multiple times you referred to an icon and it was totally obscured. Otherwise, best tutorials that I have found. Thank you for your time and insights.
Thanks for the tips. I need to spend some time with Pro mode for sure. I know about the advantages but still I take too long to get the settings perfect.
Fantastic and very helpful to this new vlogger.....Subscribed! A quick question-what camera and mic did you use to film this video? I use a Sony A7 lll, for my still photography...Do you have any instructional videos on vlogging with this camera? Thanks so much!
thank you for your video. I am an older person and found it a bit difficult to take in so quickly. I am particularly interested in erasing bit out of a photo. Do you have a printed version of this?
Great video. learnt a lot and I'm already a pro with a D850, Thanks!! Model Samsung S 21 ultra, bought it when it first came out, sold it within two weeks and missed it ever since. So I ordered up a brand new one to go with my iPhone 11 Promax but there's just so much more options with the camera on the Samsung thanks for the video! It taught me a lot about the actual phone Cheers!
you had the focus on auto the entire time you were showing ISO and exposure and if you watch it back (6:50 ish) you can see the camera is doing these little zoom warps adjusting the focus. owie
Jonathan, I have a new SG21+ and I'm not impressed with the camera so far. I was trying to take photos of a beautiful sunset over the lake (with the sun tucked behind clouds casting awesome colors) and the photos came out with a huge horizon streak of bright lemon yellow -- as bright as you can imagine - not at all what the true colors were. The sun was not directly exposed in the scene, it was behind the clouds, so I don't think it was a typical overexposure, but the camera definitely didn't handle the light and colors well. The clouds were fabulous, very defined and colors were perfect. It's just the horizon line which was bright yellow. It ruined every shot. The true color of the horizon was like a light orange (orange sherbet color). What do you recommend? Do you know of any instruction videos on how to capture a sunset with SG21 series? Can you do one? I'm eager for some tips.
Make sure to follow me on Instagram @JonathanJCasey and on Twitter @JonathanCaseyYT I have something special coming up that you're not gonna want to miss 😁😁😁
when should we generally use the 4k 24fps versus 60fps? i will be doing surf videos and weddings. please advise

So....I know my s8 edge used to have a pro video mode.....but...I can't find it now?
