      I am lucky enough to live in New Zealand and used to somewhat take it for granted until I found out that the main reason for Asian tourists was so they could see the night sky.
      Satellite images of the Earth at night are crazy!
      I have been night kayaking on lakes away from development and the stars are reflecting in the still water. With a bit of imagination it is like paddling thru a galaxy!
      It should probably be noted that we humans generally see the night sky in black and white, not the colour a digital camera captures. Video tech not there yet so nice to have a 'unique' experience.

    Hey legend last night I tried 100x zoom on fill moon and got pretty good results which I was surprised I got. All I did hit 30x then 50x then focused it then 100x times zoom. I locked focus and got rather nice shots. 30x zoom is good too. I'm surprised how 100x zoom turned out. I'll edit them soon from my s21 ultra. It's great how your getting all these shots and I'm learning from you.
    Milky way shot wow that looks amazing. I'm going to try that as that looks awesome. Milky way shot was taken with s21 ultra? Zoom feature on phones will get better and better in next few years. I'm looking forward to when you get Huawei p50pro and test it under clear dark skies to see how great it is!

    Totally agree, I find 10x to be near optically perfect (incredible for a mobile phone) and the extra 3x digital cropping/processing to get to 30x is entirely acceptable, to the point where its equivalent to digital cropping the 10x image off-camera. But I wouldn't say the same between 30x and 100x. It is, as you rightly say, a fad, but fun for instantly sharing with friends, although it's worth spending 10 seconds cropping the 30x using the phone's crop tool if you're not in a hurry. Top video mate 👍👍

    Hey I've been trying to use the double exposure function for basically the same purpose and for some reason when it's loading the overlapping picture the blue loading wheel stays on screen and won't complete therefore not letting me press the tick and move on. Has anyone else had this problem? anyone have a solution?

    • @ShayneMostyn
      @ShayneMostyn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find this can take a long time when dealing with RAW files. Sometimes it just never gets there. So I edit the photos individually and export the JPEGs and then try the double exposure. It seems to work.

    Espero me entiendas pero mi inglés no es bueno, deberías probarlo para cielo profundo de gran campo, como la nebulosa de Orion, Andromeda, the Whirlpool Galaxy, etc, objetos luminosos, probar bien ahí la calidad del sensor, ver detalles, porque si se ve que entrega las fotos con algo de ruido, yo estoy usando un Realme 7 Pro, pero para foto una cámara básica, una Canon T6, apenas ando empezando pero ya he visto que los equipos anteriores no se van a comparar con una apsc o algo así, son equipos móviles con algunas mejoras, pero mientras su sensor sea pequeño no se logra algo muy bueno, la vía láctea es algo luminosa y no tan detallada en campo amplio

      I would use 30 seconds and iso 400 as a start. If its too blurry, drop the shutter to 15. You may end up dropping the ISO all the way down to 200 or so as well. It will depend a little on the ambient light and the fireworks.
