Get ready for one of our most impressive drag races of all time: Ferrari SF90 v Porsche 911 Turbo S!
That’s right, it’s finally happening! The Porsche 911 Turbo S has left SO many cars in its wake in previous drag races, but it may have just met its match!
So let’s see how these two European powerhouses compare. First up we have the Ferrari, with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 coupled with THREE electric motors, which combine to produce 1000hp and 800Nm! It’s pretty light, too, at 1,570kg. But it’s also pretty expensive, starting at £376,000!!
Alongside it, we have the Porsche. It’s packing a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can produce 650hp and 800Nm. It’s a bit heavier than the Ferrari, at 1,640kg, and it also costs a fair bit less, at £168,000.

I just looked it up on the website, (if you take out the remote control toy car thats no 1) The Rimac Nevarro is ranked no.1 with 8.6secs
The 2021 Ferrari SF90 Stradale ranked 11th with 9.6seconds.
Everything above the ferrari other than the Rimac and the redbull pro gp bike and f1 car are tuned cars.
Ferrari front wheels looked like it was almost off the ground in the third race. The car is seriously impressive, what a car, wow.

When you see the SF90 crush a Turbo S, it shows how crazy the Rimac is when that made the SF90 look slow 😮
But the rimac doesn't sound gud like the ferrari it feels like running a space ship somewhere in outer space whereas ferrari feels like driving a real super fast car on road.

The fact that it took a 4.0 litre hybrid motor with 1000hp to beat a 3.8 litre flat six with 650 hp and 800 NM is just insane!! The respect for the 911 just keeps increaaing. What a fantastic car! Also, no hate to the Ferrari. Brilliant Drag Race!

You should only compare gas engine models only. Porsche 911 TURBO is faster than any Ferrari, except SF90 that HAS electric engines help. To be fair, you must compare Ferrari SF90 with a Porsche 911 Turbos that has electric engines and similar power. Maybe the next generation of Porsche 911 will have such version. Till then, this comparison is not a fair comparison at all.
The rimac nevera does what the SF90 did to the porsche to the SF90, just shows how insane the nevera is. All of these cars are amazing.

I saw a SF90 on the interstate here in Bangkok a couple days ago, I wanted to play as I was in my S65 V8 E30 and uhhhh yeah I got destroyed to put it lightly LMAO
That SF90 is an absolute machine, 1000 HP and that performance without a Rev Limiter and still a great drive for $450,000. Its great, great value - the Scuderia did a great job.

Ok I probably didn't clarify what I meant. The gorgeous flat six in the 911 is a masterpiece and has up until lately been a drag strip champion but nowadays to keep up with the likes of Ferrari they need to it to be complemented by some sort of hybrid assistance.

The weight you quote for the SF90 is that of the Assetto Fiorano version, with CF wheels. That there is the standard version and it even have the heaviest cast wheels on it.

Porche did 10.1 Sec. I have seen all the Porsche 992 Turbo S video on this channel. 10.1s is the fastest by that car (happy to see that German guy did that again, previously it was done by Matt itself) and the fastest car on this channel before this drag race.

You can see both launch simultaneously for the first few seconds which is just insane..it means they are both at the very edge of tyre grip and there is not much difference there...and the ferrari power comes in and takes the lead. Amazing stuff - some of the best launch control systems right here :D !
The electromotors of the ferrari covers the shifts, you can see the porsche dropping back during shifts, pdk and all.

Well that's true but Ferrari sf90 and McLaren 765lt among other very few cars offer the performance of a hypercars (until 200) at a fraction of the price. Because remember this is not early to mid 2000 where hypercars costs 1 million, nowadays hypercar cost anywhere from 2 to 4 million. So it's really good.

Im a fan of porsche for the engineering and craftmanship as well as reliability for a high performance machine. When i get a bit richer i will seek a ferrari as well. Cheers 🍻

I think the 296 GTB would have been a better comparison to the Turbo S, especially as it is much closer in price to the Turbo S....
When you drag race the 992 911 Turbo S, you should keep the Turbo S in Sport Mode (not Sport+) and hit the Sport Response button on the steering wheel before letting the brake go in the launch control sequence. This circumvents deployment of the front spoiler and rear wing yet provides the same boost of power from Sport+ mode. The drag from the front and rear spoilers slow the car down dramatically (by over half a second 0-60 in some tests).
Are you for real? Please stop and think. 0.5 seconds 0-60 in a period where aerodynamic drag is not very important. Please don't believe everything you're told.

I have watched quite of a few of races where the new german presenter was invovled, and I have got to admit, I really like him being part of this and his way of presenting. Wayy better than the previous german presenter you had. In my eyes, he is almost like the german presenter of Yianni (in his own way).

The fact that Porsche is able to launch just as a hypercar with a 1000 horsepower and they're doing it all with 6 cylinders it's really crazy what those dang flat 6 engines from Porsche seem to get so much done with so little.

The SF90 is only a little over 2 years old, but we can already say that it has entered the legend of the best road-legal cars of all time.
Its price is not so crazy when you see those of Bugatti or Koeningsegg, where it is on the butt level performance.
With its space shuttle face, this car is truly fantastic. I still prefer the LaFerrari, but the latter is starting to show its age, design from 2013, especially on start-up performance.
The Ferrari LaFerrari is better than Ferrari SF90.
SF90 was unveiled in mid 2019 and this video was published in late 2022, that's more than 3 years!
