As someone from New Zealand, hearing people mention lord of the rings just makes me so happy because it’s such a big part of our tiny little country, and im not even a huge lord of the rings fan lol

Every time I jump into one of these servers, I'm in absolute awe at the detail these folks put in. I'm not sure how much time is put into the detail work, but it's always so impressive.
I think the lotr one took like 7-8 years I’m not sure though so don’t quote me on it. Yeah some of these builds are insane though.

The huge hobbit hole is for The Thain which is the title of the traditional military leader of the Hobbits of the Shire.
I would have had no clue about this if you hadn't piqued my curiosity, thanks for encouraging me to expand my Lore of the rings ; )
Wish there was a world like this for skyrim, I’m surprised the entire skyrim hasn’t been built on minecraft. Honestly tempted to try encourage it on Hytale when the day comes

Reminds me of when I used to play on the Lord of the Craft server. It was (is) heavily focused on RP though. Had a whitelist form you had to fill out (character background etc).

Minas Tirith is epic on this server. As is Orthanc, and my personal favourite, Argonath. The've even made some cities that weren't in the movies, like Cair Andros and Dol Amroth.
I can't wait to see them all!!
Haven’t watched lotr in quite some time maybe when I was really young but I do remember loving Gimli (looked up axe dude haha). This has made me want to watch them again cause I barely watched cause I used to get nightmares from it 😂😂
Update:
Watched all 3 movies. They were great. One of my favorite things was Gimli and Legolas arguing mid battles about how many kills each had 😂
Only issue I had with the movies was the 30 minutes at the the end of Return of The King and I was very confused as to when the movie would end 😂😂😂
I believe Gimli or Samwise are my favorite characters although I do also love Legolas.
Yeah, Sam and Gimli are great. My favorite character is Aragorn, I really like the backstory he has before the events of the fellowship of the ring.

@@JubileeWhispers It's true. I was trying to follow the footprints as closely as I could, though. I still ended up having to teleport straight to Emyn Muil from Lothlorien because there's no way to take a boat ride out of there.

If you want to truly experience middle earth in minecraft google lotr mod 1.7.10 and install the mod. It will blow you away!

Melkor (yeah I’m totally being that guy, hahaha!). Do you just meant the entire lore of LotR or contained entirely to that story (I have decided anyway so not sure why I’m asking).
Also the excitement was relaxing in its own way. Smiling is relaxing and it’s nice to fall asleep with a smile on your face.

@@JubileeWhispers So, Melkor (also known as Morgoth Bauglir) was like the original Dark Lord of Middle-earth. Yup, Sauron was basically just his underling way back in the First Age and was trying to follow in his footsteps many thousands and thousands of years after he had been defeated and destroyed.
LotR lore is deep af. I've not even touched on him singing reality into being with the other Ainur through 'the Great Music' and corrupting it (and thus reality and all being) through his negative hymns/thoughts.
@@palepilgrim1174 Yeah, I know about that! haha I just wasn't really sure what you were maybe replying to in the video :) I often get comments that seems to respond to something specific I said in a video but because I record so much, I can never remember what I say in them so I sometimes find myself confused to the reference.

It sometimes hard to understand you cause your mouthsounds are so loud.
I assume Tolkien not writing many female characters probably had less to do with disliking women and more to do with him being someone who heavily pulled from his own experiences for his writing. In many ways LOTR is a version of his wartime experiences, which naturally didn't include women on the battlefield.
