one of the best, quickiest and easiest tutorial in the inernet . No wasting time just straight to the point. Thanks my man.
HOLY Shh.. it was right there in the menue.. all the time. this look-at-selected-layers feature kind of is a punch in the face!
Was I the only one who had been aligning cameras manually to a point of interest? thanks to this daily tip now these times are over once and for all. thankyou!
only problem is it doesn't take into considerance whether the targeted layer is rotated. So if the text is pointing away, the camera would not change it's orientation accordingly to face the text. this would still need to be done by hand.. in case I didn't miss something.. again.
now it feels for me too..
Thanks man... to the point... I was looking for this tutorial for very very long time
Straight to the point, that's what I like, thanks!
Clear and straight to the point, many thanks for this useful tips!

Hi Sergei,
In your case, all layers are facing to front.
What if ther are at, for example, 45º other at -45º and so on?
Using the method you shown the camera go to the layer image, but how to turn the camera to face the new layer?
I think it is a new turorial!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
There's multiple good tips here. I liked the way you handled those keyframes.
Thanks, Mikk!
I use another shortcut when Unified Camera Tool (C) is selected.
Select the 3D Layer then press F.
Thanks Sergei for all your usefull Tips
that's a nice one!
Awesome! I didn't know that one. Thanks for sharing!
Ctrl+Shift+F to look at all 3D layers
thankkkk you
Thank you bro🙏🏾
oh I can't thank you enough. I need this video at this time and I can't believe that!. thanks to the moon and back :D!
That's awesome! I'm glad you found it useful, Chada!
wow, great! and what if I would rotate the text? I mean not just push it backward or forward but also rotate? Is there any "command" or shortcut to point the camera toward the object? I dont mean "auto-orient" object to camera, but auto-orient camera toward the object, when the object is rotated. Thank you.
You just changed my life
woao thank you so much i must to practice with the camera movements!!! i found pretty usefull this one!!
I'm glad I was able to help you, Constanza! Thanks for watching this video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH🙏🤍🤍
Very important to mention that this will not work unless "Active Camera" is selected when framing up these layers and creating the keyframes.
Damm! Thanks man. Definitely gonna improve my efficiency haa
Excellent Work 💥✨👏👏
Awesome, Brother!
finally direct to the point

Thank YOU, Emin!
You just earned a sub.
Very very nice thank you 😍😍😍
Thank you! It's the usual way with AE - I had watched this tutorial before, but then completely lost track of how to 'look at selected layers' - and was getting vexed as it's hard to find. Is there a way to juice the SEO on this? like putting 'look at selected layers' in the title?
thanks very useful
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I have been looking for this for so long, but I couldn't explain it to TH-cam "which is floating text in an empty dark space while the camera moves from one text to another.
Tysm 👍🏼
Great, thank you, but I can't find the tutorial on how to spread out the layers in 3D
thanks a lottt man
really useful
Glad it helped
good tutorial, thank you!
Thank you for your kind words!
damn AE is awesome. Love how simple this tute is.
Thanks, Angelica!
Is there a way to automatically blur out the layers that are not on focus??
Yes. You can use depth of field to do that.
Wow superb crisp and quick tutorial thank you so much😊😊
Thank YOU, Sanjiv!

Thank you for your kind words, Ashish!
I love your channel!
Thank you, Ogat!
very nice
Yoooo this makes me feel so derpy til now! I'd be even cooler if this worked on a null but so far so good uwu
your videos help to me so much. Thanks sir. ♥
Thank YOU, Onur!
This is awesome thanks. Quick question, how do you get the camera to snap to video that may have a Y rotation? I am having a tought time trying to get a camera to properly align with objects thats off on different axis.

Tnx
Im new to ae. How did you drag the camera to the timeline
Excellent! My only issue is how do I set the pain of interest?
I thought this would be the thing I needed, but my camera is linked to a null object. Whenever, I use this to position into 3d space, it works exactly as advertised but seems to wipe out all of the previous keyframes on the null object. This is bizarre behavior.
Other option is to delete null object and just use camera, but when I need to subtlety adjust position of the camera, it does not move the actual camera position, only the angle - any tips?
Well this just saved me a massive amount of time
That's great to hear!
Fantastic!
Thanks, Bobby!
I didn't know it's already built in either. I used to use video copilot's plugin. Now it's so simple.
:-)
very useful video
thank you
Thank YOU, Vaibhav!
Super usefull !
Thank you!
this camera key framing is not working if i use camera with the null parenting method , any method to correct this. for null?
Thanks Sergei
Thank YOU!
nice
Thanks Sergei,
This is indeed a useful tip. To be honest, I never use 3D inside of after effect. It’s just too slow and clumsy to move around in a 3D AE environment. If I need 3D graphics, I just use applications like 3D studio max. Maybe this will make manoeuvring inside AE a little less shitty. Just for the simple things. It probably will never beat the "free" manoeuvring inside a real 3D application.
I know exactly what you mean and I agree with you 100%, Michel. I don't do any 3D in Ae, I always do that in Cinema 4D.
Thank you for watching it!
does this work with pictures because im trying to do it with drawings and images and it doesn't work unless I'm doing it wrong
how do you get ctrl alt shift \ to create keyframes. not working for me
Does that work with null objects aswell?
very usefull!!!
Thanks, Ogat!
Genius!
:-)
How do you get the option to toggle active camera because it doesn't show for me?
Thats a very useful thing
I'm glad you found it useful, Sabeer! Thanks for watching!
Great tip, thank you Sergei!
I hope it will never happen but I can't imagine what the last tip is going to be! Maybe "How to make a Fox Sports animation in 1 day?" haha
:-)
Is this the 3d plugins
when i press custom view nothing happens and it just stays like active camera, what should i do?Also like anchor point doesnt have 3 numbers,it only has like two numbers when you press A. (im trying to make a cube and when i press A,i only see two numbers instead of three)
