Adam, horses cannot lay down for long periods of time, and due to their weight and weight distribution, you can not keep them off their legs. Look up, Barbaro ✌️
This. Unfortunately, a horse can't survive in humane circumstances on three legs. A broken leg in a horse can lead to complications as the other legs attempt to bear the weight of the horse's body, and like they say in the show, they will kick to get free of suspension slings. That said, it also depends on the nature of the injury. Horse _can_ and do recover from broken legs (with modern medicine, ofc), if it isn't a serious injury. Barbaro's case is different, however, as his hind leg was broken in more than 20 places...it was far from a simple injury. (He NEVER should have been ridden since, at the start of the race, there were several errors made; they changed the saddling procedure at the last minute, which made him nervous, which caused him to have a false start before the gate opened, which resulted in him slamming his head into the metal gate, which caused him to be disoriented. Basically, the horse had a mild concussion, but the jockey felt he could still run and the trainer decided he was probably right, and as a result, disaster. Sorry to rant about it...just that it was such a needless death. The average horse lives for 25 to 30 years, the average lifespan of a Thoroughbred horse is 25 to 35 years. Barbaro was just 4 years old, and his death was preventable. The greed of all those involved caused his death.)
forget the twist, it's concerning when you didn't know her sister in the flashbacks was a major character that was there from the beginning of the show
Struggling to remember how the book goes, but im starting to think that itll need to stretch to a second season to accommodate the story. Or maybe across several seasons incorporate the stories of Sisterhood Of Dune, Mentats of Dune and Navigators of Dune
“It’s a cult” that’s exactly how I feel about the entire dune universe. They kicked thinking machines to the side and adopted religion as the only way. With of course magical properties in spice, people can believe/follow anything.
Only 6 episodes this season, this was the halfway point. While Valya is ambitious and ruthless. Tula is the scariest, she feels remorse but will do whatever it takes to achieve her goals. She didn't kill the Atreides because Vayla asked her to, she did it because she loved her brother. She lied to Lila about Lila's mother dying in childbirth. And yes the sisterhood has a thinking machine in their basement and it's a big violation of the law, hence the reason Dorotea(throat slit episode 1) wanted to destroy it.
I was a little late to the party and saw the first 3 episodes in one go. So I thought this series was great right away.😂 I can imagine it being a bit slow having to wait one week in between them. Also went back and saw dune part one and two just to catch up and it was more interesting than the first time I saw them, having some back story 😊
@@ChrisHaar the Butlerians were followers/believers in Serena Butler, who was one of the enslaved humans experimented on by the independent robot Erasmus. I think they then wrote the Orange Catholic bible which is where all the "thou shalt make a machine in the likeness of man's mind, the mind of man is holy" stuff comes from x

Still doing The Boys?!?! It’s been half a year & no updates
Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far! I am a sucker for flashbacks and more world/lore building.

The Corrino emperors and the Harkonnens are the butler family descendants
The Ruling family Corrino & the first Harkonnen were brothers
