I feel like he might get offed because Disney doesn’t kill kids but alien kids are open ground I definitely don’t want it too happen but I feel like they will use it too toughen up the friends hopefully not 😂
He hasn't attempted that before because the perfect scenario hadn't presented itself. Now, he has access to a ship AND a potential treasure of At Attin
As someone born and raised in Texas, Hector's outraged southern lady voice was spot on!!!😂 I laughed way too damn hard. Granted my family and most surrounding families had a Tejano accent, but occasionally someone would roll up with that outraged southern accent. Brought me back to having to drive through East Texas. LOL
Neel is the best boi and must be protected at all cost!!!!!! Also he better not get "changed" by the journey, he needs to stay this sweet boy the whole time!!!!
Am I the only one who gets some big Treasure Island vibes. With Jude Law as John Silver. Or treasure planet, except the real treasure is the planet they left behind, along the way
17:49 i wouldnt call her half droid but that utility visor does look like its 'installed' on her head kind of like Lando's assistant character (forgot his name) in Empire. Maybe she got it when she was younger and there's a story we may find out later, or maybe its just an accesory she can take on and off. I dont think its the latter just due to the fact they didnt even take it off when they put them in the brig.
Loving this show so far! Neel is the homie of if I were his friend I would just chill at his house til my parents got home (if his mom was ok with it) obviously help with chore and stuff
I’m really glad you guys talked in depth about the child actor/director relationship at the end of the video here. That’s such a good point, and one of my favorite things about this show. When a film relies so heavily on young actors, it’s so vitally important to have a director who knows how to work with them and get the best out of them as they simply don’t have the depth of life experience to draw on to realistically portray a situation on demand. For example, I liked ATLA, but my biggest gripe about that show was they didn’t really do the best job with the younger actors especially in the early episodes. They came across as overly directed and unnatural until they kinda found their stride about 3/4 through the season and then it became more convincing. Here, like you said, they felt very natural and didn’t feel like they were acting. They were just allowed to be kids and it paid off big time. And yes, I would die for Neel. XD
Not sure how many folks many have noticed, bu the droid Nick Frost voices, his designation is SM-33 which is a reference to Peter Pan and Captain Hook's first mate, Smee. As Hector pointed out!
Yes, yes finally you don’t understand how I’ve been waiting for you guys to react to this show. I was anticipating day after day like literally because I really am a fan of you guys and I know that you would appreciate these first two episodes.👍🏼
Loved 1 and 2. Really good fun 💗 I agree with you guys - SW can support a huge number of different stories; stories for all ages. Also, (as in your Ring of Power vids) f*ck the haters; those losers.
I lived in Holland for a couple of years as a child. Our neighbor's name was Wim. W's are pronounced like a mix of V and W. It's closer to Vim than Wim. Wim is short for Willem (William in English.) The Dutch also slightly roll their R's and the G's are very guttural, almost making the sound when you gear up to spit a luggie.
I agree with you all thinking that Jod wasn't/isn't a Jedi. My own suspicions? He might be a former Inquisitor, and after the fall of the Empire, was forced to fend for himself. Becoming a pirate (yes, I also agree he was Captain Silvo) would seem like a logical choice for someone like that. In any case, it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. So far, it's off to a very good start.
Why did I never realize how much Jude Law looks like Ewan McGregor.... a possible familial connection? And I think Jude didn’t leave the cell bc he was waiting for someone to come along with a ship. I don’t think he’s a Jedi, but I think he does use the force. Have a terrific Tuesday internet humans. ♥️
Why does everyone ask that question? The answer is simple, he didn’t have a ship. What’s the point of breaking out if he didn’t have a way off the station? Also, the kid who plays Neel, is in a suit, iirc. It’s not just a voice gig. Combo of practical and cgi
At Attin looks very interesting, but there is something.... off.... with that planet. There's something....just not right about it. To be honest, it kinda creeps me out a bit.
Jude Law had no reason to leave, now he hears about treasure, some easy kids to dup. That's his reason to start doing stuff. I'm getting major the mysterious cities of gold cartoon vibes.
KB is like a Lobot I'm guessing. We don't see her parents or in school. She goes to school with Fern but isn't in class or trouble. I think she's an assistant for the rich kid Fern.
I couldn't find it mentioned, but the little ferryman guy is the same as Teek from the 1985 Battle for Endor TV movie! I was stoked to see that, I grew up on those Ewok movies
Thought Kerry Condon was Rebecca Ferguson for a split second - they look so much alike :) Andor & Skeleton Crew proves you can pull off 2 good shows on either end of the 'serious spectrum' in the Star Wars Universe! Jon Watts also crushed the pilot episode of the FX spy show The Old Man with Jeff Bridges, highly recommended!
Saw a theory that this may actually be a prequel to the Captain EO thing. SO many references and parallels of characters. Captain EO could be something one of the characters write/create after this all is over.
Hopefully at least one of the kids is smart enough to ask why he didn't just force pull the key at any time. Answer: he needs a ship to escape or he's not getting far.
Well, actually, the question why he hasn’t gone out of the jail could be very simple. Perhaps if he got out of jail he really didn’t have anywhere to go. But now that he heard that these kids have a ship or he may know SM 33 then he has a way off the planet so now he can just leave. I think about it if you get out of jail and you really don’t have anywhere to go what are you gonna do?
It's ok so far, but I don't get the tone: pirates massacre an entire ship, but don't interrogate a bunch of kids or ransack their ship to find the credits they were fighting over?!
You guys shout out to all these different films and fail to miss 90% of the references and homages to other SW properties. And the ones you do pick up on are things you’ve seen in spoilers.
Thinking Jedi Jude didnt use his "abilities," before he didnt have a crew, nor a ship, stuck on a tiny rock of pirates who hate him because of the one credit.. 🤔🤔
Watching this, I really do not regret cancelling my Disney subscription and I really do not regret not cancelling my subscription to you guys. Great review fellas. Keep it up! 🤙🏾
- I'm proposing that Jod is the kid from the Jedi temple that told Anakin, "Master Skywalker, there's too many of them. What do we do?" He managed to escape. - Hector does that church lady too well.
The alien is so the pirate from Mando and its not they all look alike it his same style of acting in the make up its Vane and you cannot pass up Grogu and the Kids meeting cause I think the kids will need help and Mando will appear as they are with Jude Law who is not a good guy or he is a sith like Maul not a sith like PALPATINE MEANING NOT All bad
Why does a tween need bedtime stories? Can't the kid read? You should be able to handle that much once you've started school. Yes, they're the same age physically, but Wim is definitely a childish child and Fern isn't wrong - Wim being unable to show restraint or think ahead is EXACTLY why they end up in their position. It's weird for a 10-12yo to behave like that - usually you learn not to touch things that don't belong to you before you hit double digits. Or you ought to. So he's either an incredibly childish child, or so selfish he literally thinks of no one but himself. (You miss being a kid, Adam? Want to swap childhoods?) I'm out on this one - it screams every dumb 80's flick about groups of kids on 'adventures', and given I detested those when I _was_ a kid in the 80's, all this offers for me is irritation and frustration. Been a very long time since I didn't complete a show, but this one is just impossible to finish. For all y'all who are digging it, I hope the season brings you everything you want, and that you get a heap of enjoyment out of it 🙂
@@jasonmarbach DId I say that? I asked why he couldn't read to himself. I have no memories of ever being read to, but I read like a mofo and always have. Same as I go to the theatre, watch TV and movies - I understand why humans need stories. And thank you kindly for your assertion (projection?) of joyless adult status. All I was pointing out was that THIS property was doing nothing for _ME_ (and why) so I'm dipping out, and while I'm not into it, I know other people are and I really hope they enjoy the series.
Very nice of you to wish everyone else well, but your status as a joyless adult is extremely clear by the curmudgeonly statement here. Not being read stories as a kid is sad, I’m sorry that happened. But it’s very important for kids. Not because Wem can’t read for himself, clearly he can. But rather, because of that connection and love between he and his father. That’s what he’s craving in that scene.
I would die for Neel!!
Must protect Neel at all costs.

Neel is the Homie. His dad has the best garage in space
Including the St Paulies girl beer poster!! but she’s in elephant form. SO FUNNY! 😂
He hasn't attempted that before because the perfect scenario hadn't presented itself. Now, he has access to a ship AND a potential treasure of At Attin
Silvo (Long John Silvo?) didn't take the key before, because he had no ship to get away. Now he has a ship, a little crew, and a bad a$$ droid!
As someone born and raised in Texas, Hector's outraged southern lady voice was spot on!!!😂 I laughed way too damn hard. Agustin making an excellent Calvin & Hobbes reference with the cereal
We protect Neel at all cost!!!
Wim's Dad - Some of us have jobs to get back to. Hmph! hahaha

Hector doing a Zach Galifianakis - esque voice here 30:46 killed me
Move over, Grogu. There's a new bright colored cutie patotie in town
How did we went from space Pasadena on ep1 to space Tijuana on ep2😂😂😂
I have been waiting for this reaction all week. Hector, Adam, and Agustin, you guys are the best!
Glad you got these first two episodes reactions’ up, Adam, Hector, and Augustin.
I was wondering when you’d get em up.
Silvo - Long John Silver
SM-33 - Smee
Wim - Jim Hawkins
Basically Disney’s Treasure Planet 2.0

That's my guess. Kid with absent dad + morally gray pirate father figure. Definitely Long John.

My assumption is the Jod Na Nawood didn’t grab the key sooner because he needed a way to escape the port after escaping the brig.

The pirate from Mandalorian was Vane. And someone posted that they spotted Hondo's ship at the spaceport.
I AM OFFICIALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW! I feel the same way I felt during Season 1 of Mando with this show!
Holy crap! I thought I watched this already, only to see that it wasn't in my history! I can't believe I haven't seen your reactions yet!
Whim activating the ship reminded me of the DBZA "Don't touch the start button" joke.

Pretty sure KB is a cyborg with mods like we saw Thundercat perform to Fennec in Book of Boba Fett.
"Space Pasadena" ROTFLMAO
The reason why he hasn't taken the key before could be as simple as he didn't have a way to get off the port before.
"The eternal planet of hidden treasure", was that it? 😅🏴☠️
I think Jod was planted by Brutus to get more information about At Attin from the kids and in return he gets spared
