Might not be so long if this collection sells well enough... If more collections come out, I'd expect a Console/PC Early Days collection in a couple of years (Forbidden Memories, Duelist of the Roses, Power of Chaos etc), then maybe a collection that features the DS & PSP games.
@@Yusei255 hopefully dotr will get a re-release at some point. I know it's unlikely to be part of this collection, but it is a game I've been wanting to try since I recently learned more about it.
I'm sure they will be, and they are testing the waters with this. If it sells well (and it will for colectors chasing the promo cards) then we'll get Volume 2.
I was hoping for Forbidden Memories too but I think it's too broken, the difficult spike is huge and the grind is absurd. Love this game to death but I understand why it's not in this particular collection
While the list may seem random, it's actually pretty thorough. This collection, simply put, is every single DM-era Gameboy game as far as I am aware. The random titles are all because some of these games were not released outside of Japan where their names were changed. Dark Duel Stories is Duel Monsters 3, Eternal Duelist Soul is Duel Monsters 5: Expert 1, Sacred Cards is Duel Monsters 7 and Reshef of Destruction is Duel Monsters 8. Worldwide Edition is also basically World Championship 2003 in everything but name and is an updated version of Duel Monsters 6? Yeah, don't ask me why Sacred Cards went back to the nonsense game rules after using IRL rules for the last couple games. So to simplify the titles, we have Duel Monsters 1 through 8, World Championship 2003, 2004 and 2005 and then the Monster Capsule, Dice Monsters and Board Traveler spin offs. So yeah, this is pretty comprehensive all things considered.
If this does well we’re definitely getting a second game with console, GX era, 5D’s era, Tag Force, etc. But I feel like Tag Force deserves their own collection like this.
I think it’s important to remember that they still have to see if people even buy this game. If it sells a good amount, they will for sure release more old games. At least I’m hoping
The problem I see is these games are so easy to emulate a lot of people won’t buy it. Every phone can play every game here for free. If they slapped on a console game (like Duelist of the Roses) people without a pc and/or people who just want that game running well on switch would get it. I’m still iffy on it and even more so because I can boot these games up now. I can play the console games but Duelist of the Roses needed a bit of tinkering to work well. They should’ve done the console games.
Yeah, when the companies do good initiatives like this, it's usually to test the water. So if you want them to continue in the right direction, show support, even collectively why not, and buy it to prove them the water isn't too cold and they should take a bath.
@@lethalButters I think dotr might take up more space, and they wanted to focus on including as many as they could fit from the time period. hopefully dotr gets included in something like this in the future.
@@BrandonSwinney-j2v bro, Duelist if the Roses is just under 2 gb, adding every GBA game ever made is 3 gb, which will still put it below Pokemon Legends which is at 6, Breath of the wild is 14. Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories and Falsebound Kingdom is 400mb, Capsule Collesium is under 2.. They 100% couldve fit aAll the conmsole games on the cart or just have you download them, (plus its on PC too). What do you mean by space because Literally Every old Yu-Gi-Oh colsole game together is less than the launch title for the switch and every YGO GB+GBA game is less than 150mb. It's actually wasteful not putting more on because a 1gb cart is only having less than 15% of it used.
I'm carefully optimistic, Dungeon Dice Monsters is the one I absolutely wanted the most. Sadly no Duelists of the Roses, Capsule Monster Coliseum or Falsebound Kingdom though...
Same here. Would love to get a second chance and play Dungeon Dice Monsters as well as Falsebound Kingdom properly this time. At least that's 1/2 for now. It would be sad if the DS games were left behind though as Nightmare Troubador looks awesome for a DS game. Really wanted to play it.
hopefully they'll do make another collection for some of those, especially roses. those probably weren't included here because they are larger games, and they wanted to focus on releasing a bunch of the earliest games to appeal to nostalgia, and they might release another collection if this sells well. Those 3 games you listed are console games, while these ones are all handheld
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective yeah the OG was hard as heck but in my opinion that was mostly due to the Deck Capacity/Duelist Level mechanics which can be removed here
the only game on here I've played was sacred cards, and I didn't know the game had a type matchup system growing up (this system is also used in reshef), so even that game will be a relatively fresh experience for me since I'll know more about the mechanics this time (and it's been years since I last played it).
It makes sense for Nintendo to include games from their back catalogue. If successful, they may work with Konami to make one containing the console games.
The console games being skipped kinda makes sense since most of those games actually follow a loose continuity (mainly Falsebound, Memories and Roses) and most don't play like the OCG or TCG at all. My guess is that at some point theyll bundle those 3 games alongside Capsule Monsters Colosseum and Dawn of Destiny for a beefy 5 game collection.
Capsule monsters breed and battle seems likely as well given they’ve added the GB game for it as well which I didn’t expect. That said capsule monsters PS2 and the tag force games may have a small issue being re-released... voice acting as all these games have full Japanese VO.
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective I've played some of spirit caller, and recently got through the story mode of 2008. the only other yugioh games I own are sacred cards (and I didn't fully understand some of the mechanics of that game growing up), and wheelie breakers (aka the yugioh version of mario kart)
I probably knew it was gonna be game boy games only and yes dungeon dice monsters is in the list and so is worldwide edition and 7 trials of glory. Let’s also hope we get the yugioh console collection
All of these were released on Nintendo handheld systems. Most of the other games (TagForce, Forbidden Memories, Duelist of the Roses) were released on PlayStation or Xbox. The question I have is if Nintendo can even acquire the license to reproduce those games given the unique controllers for those systems.
I had Sacred Cards way back in the day. Liked it when I was young. Briefly tried Destiny Board Traveler and Falsebound Kingdom back then and traded it back almost immediately. My favorite prior to DL was definitely Nightmare Troubadour. That one had everything I wanted in a DM game. I wish I had tried Wheelie Breakers, but I don’t think I really need to anymore.
Nightmare Troubadour is the best DM game, WC10-11 is 5D’s best, Tag Force 3 is GX’s and Tag Force Special is Arc-V and Zexals. Spirit caller is also a banger, best soundtrack by far.
I'm hyped about Destiny Board Traveler. The RNG in that game is unforgiving. WC2005 is one of my favorite in the series. Played through it so many times.
I’m so excited for this game to come out! It seems a really interesting concept and I like it. I’ve never played any of these games before so it’s all new to me
There is only really 13 games included as Yugioh Duel Monsters 6 Expert 2 is the same game as Stairway to the Destined Duel (the only difference is that SttDD features the international censorship).
Forbidden Memories staying true to its name 😂 aside from dedicated speedrunners (speedrunning in a loose sense, since it still takes over an hour to beat with the fastest times), aint nobody touching it again. Shoutouts to twin headed thunder dragon, you were there for us when Meteor Black Dragon and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth sat us down.
Eternal Duelist Soul was Duel Monsters 5 Expert 1 in Japan, and the reason for 2 dark duel stories is because Duel Monsters 3 Tri-Holy God Advent is our Dark Duel Stories. We never got Duel Monsters 2 and 4. Lastly Rush duel didn’t invent drawing until you hold have, it was Duel Monsters 2
Considering that a good chunk of these games were never released outside of Japan until now, it will be interesting to see how they play, especially since they take place entirely during Duelist Kingdom/Season 1, before the rules were hammered out. Also, considering that the 8 confirmed ones were Gameboy games, I had a feeling that we weren't gonna get any console games. Although I was hoping we'd get Dungeon Dice Monsters since it said that there would be more than just dueling. Destiny Board Traveler's a nice touch too, as is the Capsule Monster game based off of the Season 0 version, the only time Mokuba did anything other than be a kidnapping victim XD (been rewatching Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged recently).
It's weird Forbidden Memories and Duelist of the Roses is not on the list as they came out before most of the games on the list. This is more of a handheld collection than an "Early Days" collection.
Yeah, even assuming first time players have seen/remember those episodes from the anime (which the GBA game thankfully follows perfectly) it's a lot of information to process.
damn no duelist of the roses and false bound kingdom is major L. still buying it though even if it's just for the physical cards that will worth hundreds in 10 years.
based on the leak... its the asia copy in traditional Chinese.. i think, if this collection sells well or good enough.. u think konami will consider making another Yu-Gi-Oh collection with the PS1 and PS2 games ?
Kid me was rude. I used to play a stall burn deck in those games. Forcing the opponet to take absurd amounts of damage just for playing spells/traps/setting in general etc. While using cards to just fetch my cards whenever they got removed/destroyed. Along with gravekeepers servant. And the usual funni mill cards of the era.
I only played sacred cards and Reshef of destruction from that list and didn't even finish Reshef so far. Both games are a lof fun. Sacred cards is pretty easy, Reshef pretty hard. I wish there'd be a game like these two with a difficulty right in the middle.
I need a port over those DS games along with the Tac force in those tack boards games that we never got how many people would have liked that tag Force Special had been translated in English the legal way of course or Tac Force 3 and seeing that shooting Quasar Dragon tag for 6 along with that Synchro one where if you have a Synchro Summon you draw another card
Havingplayed the first act of Reshef of Destruction (and all of 'The Sacred Cards') I will say in advance, don't promise to go through it all on stream. It really is incredibly long, and frankly, there are mechancis that might make you feel it's borderline unplayable. The option to remove deck capacity and duellist limit will help with that a lot, but I think cards are also an ungodly level of expensive, so you'll still have trouble making a deck that can win against the fairly wild difficulty curve. Additionaly, there is another mechanic (which I won't spoil, becasue if you don'ty know about it, then watching you try to figure it out will make for good viewing) but is not part of regular Yu-Gi-Oh and is intensely frustrating.
(Minor Reshef mechanical SPOILERS ahead) I gotta provide a small counter, deck capacity isn't really an issue. Tried a starter capacity only run, and it was honestly close to a standard run's difficulty. Most of the zero cost cards are great, and that leaves plenty of room for the better stuff, too. Still always a bit of a grind for a decent deck though, and that rng can be ruthless.. Also, whoever decided LPs didn't need to refresh between battles is a particular flavor of cruel.. That said, great game xD
Dungeon Dice Monsters and Monster Capsule GB made me keep my preorder, personally don't care for most of the console games tbh. I will say good luck with those first 4 Duel Monsters games on live stream, the amount of duels you have to do even with fast forward is mind numbing especially with such a small card pool and the drop rates for good cards being low.
I was thinking we wouldn’t get Rose or Capsule monsters since they’re a Sony exclusive but I was hopeful. 😢 If we ever get them it’d be awesome to duel online in capsule monsters or Roses
TBF they did add the gameboy capsule monsters game which is a huge surprise that. That one isn’t bad though it’s season zero capsule monsters. Hope we get more collections like this.
OOOHH PLEASE LET THIS BE REAL! I AM THAT ONE PERSON WHO WAS WISHING AND HOPING DUNGEON DICE MONSTERS WOULD BE INCLUDED AND I SEE DICE MONSTERS ON THAT LIST!
Lets hope this sells realy well and maybe we will get other collections in the future like tag force as u mensioned and the ds games, playstation games
sad they are skipping Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dawn of Destiny the xbox game ;/ and are not re releasing the Yu-Gi-Oh Power Of Chaos games. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul is Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 5: Expert technically they renamed it and changed some things for english users im curious to see which version will get the og or the changed one
Praying to god that this game sells well enough for them to make a sequel with Duelist of the Roses, Forbidden Memories, The Falsebound Kingdom, The Dawn of Destiny etc
It’s kinda underwhelming to be honest, so much so that it’s basically set in stone for me that this is the list, and while I’m genuinely happy and impressed that they went through all the trouble of translating and setting up so much stuff for some really obscure games, seeing season 0 yugi on the cover of one of them is enough reason to buy it, I can’t imagine this doing that well. Especially since it doesn’t have the forbidden memories which is probably the only Yugioh game that people play even to this day. I’m a Yugioh shill enough to buy this regardless despite the only games I have any real fondness for being the tag force games, but with something being this niche, I can only pray that it does well enough to pave the road for the rest of the games.
I honestly love Reshef of Destruction for its story and how it honestly should've been in the anime in place of that Grand Championship Arc. I never got to actually play it, but I have heard of its INSANE difficulty and stupid mechanics with the Life Point rebooting and how the Password Machine puts the card you get into the Shop instead of just obtaining it. Hopefully, they fix these problems so that the game can play as easily as The Sacred Cards (but not AS easy since people have complained about that being the problem for the latter which is why the former became the way it was with the insane difficulty.) Also, I hope they give us the Tag Force series via collection in the future. That was my GAME back then!!
I hope we do get another collection for Console games since a lot of them are very experimental and different gameplay so hope this collection dose well so we get more,
Second collection (if I could choose): Forbidden Memories Duelist of the Roses Capsule Monsters Colosseum Falsebound Kingdom All four would be awesome to play.
As I suspected, it will only be handled games and it doesn't include DS games, which is a shame because I would have loved to try Nightmare Troubador which has impressive 3D sprites for a 2005 DS game. But I guess to adapt the dual screen would have required much more work. But console version of this collection would be very welcomed as well. Although I don't know how many console games could fit in a collection since with GameCube and PlayStation 2 games, it starts to take significantly more storage so maybe only few games. That being said, I'm so happy to have Dungeon Dice Monster which is super unique in the Yu-Gi-Oh ! games.
is there any or which yugioh games have visible summoned monster on field because i still waiting for such new ygo game where i can see ,y table and the arena on front with 3d monsters like in anime

Regarding 100% completion (meaning I did absolutely everything), I played Duel Monsters 1 and 5 (Eternal Duelist Soul) I did play the other ones, but not to 100% I gave up against Pegasus in Reshef back in 2009

Also you forgot to mention the promos, Harpie's Feather Duster, Seiyaryu and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, all in QCR!!! Absolutely excited for that!

(Minor Reshef mechanical SPOILERS ahead)
I gotta provide a small counter, deck capacity isn't really an issue.
Might try it on a discount just for the really weird OG-GB games.
I AM THAT ONE PERSON WHO WAS WISHING AND HOPING DUNGEON DICE MONSTERS WOULD BE INCLUDED AND I SEE DICE MONSTERS ON THAT LIST!
everyone has to buy this we need we to go back!
DOTR, Tag Force are superior for the console edition if they gonna do a part 2 of these early days collection.
Here's hoping for Tag Force Collection in the future.
No forbidden memories 😢😢😢
I took a second look at the box and it looks like the leak is fake, one of the game titles is incorrectly labled
Hopefully, they fix these problems so that the game can play as easily as The Sacred Cards (but not AS easy since people have complained about that being the problem for the latter which is why the former became the way it was with the insane difficulty.)
Also, I hope they give us the Tag Force series via collection in the future. That was my GAME back then!!
I was so hoping they'd include Duelists of the Roses
I hope we do get another collection for Console games since a lot of them are very experimental and different gameplay so hope this collection dose well so we get more,
Second collection (if I could choose):
Forbidden Memories
Duelist of the Roses
Capsule Monsters Colosseum
Falsebound Kingdom
All four would be awesome to play.
It's funny that I got almost all those games will some I don't on my Wii U if you know you know
So basically all the nintendo titles
Excited to play 7 trials to glory! And happy to see my childhood game of Sacred Cards in this collection! That game always has a special place in my heart!
Are any of these really worth playing? Kinda missed that train with Yugioh games
I think dark duel stories 2 GB was the first yugioh i did get , even if it was very grindy and unfair for yugioh standard , i did enjoy this game for what it was.
I did play dungeon did monster recently and it's actually a good game, sad than this game flopped.
I don't think they are remaster but just copy for old game?
High level monster spam...nostagic. My deck from the Duel Academy game.
Regarding 100% completion (meaning I did absolutely everything), I played Duel Monsters 1 and 5 (Eternal Duelist Soul)
I did play the other ones, but not to 100%
I gave up against Pegasus in Reshef back in 2009
That Pegasus fight is brutal..
@@dudeguy8686 real talk. That was mad unfair
Stairway to the Destined Duel and 7 Trials to Glory appear to be the only decent titles in this collection. Hardly worth the price.
Really wanted Forbidden Memories and Duelist of the Roses, but honestly, I'm still buying this, I've played DungeonDice Monsters, Stairway to the Destined Duel and Dark Duel Stories, those are enough to keep me occupied, but I've always wanted to play Capsule Monsters GB and Reshef of Destruction, so I'm not too upset. Also you forgot to mention the promos, Harpie's Feather Duster, Seiyaryu and Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth, all in QCR!!! Absolutely excited for that!
Hyped to play dark duel stories. Im shocked forbidden memories wasn't a part of this collection
Didn’t know about this game. I’m amped. Ready to reclaim my DDM championship title
Hopefully, this leads to future compilations for the console games, and Tag Force/World Championship series.
I am still not sure, how they will translate the older Titles, because of the limited space for Text.
I'm so hyped we getting the dungeon dice monsters. One if the games that was short lived but found cool in the anime, manga, and real life. Was trying to find the video game earlier this year but ot coming out with the rest of these games will be a blast!
I hope we get a collection for 5Ds. The world championship games 2009 to 2011 was so good. Also tag force should be its own collection as well. Make tag force 6 is English.
Duelist of the roses let’s gooo😅 does anyone know if these are gonna be in English?
Yooooo! I've been playing The Eternal Duelist Soul on my phone trying to get all the Retroachivement. I'm looking forward to this collection!
Does anyone have a link or know where to find Dylan’s play through of DDM?
A tag force collection would be so nice
I hope if they do do a collection console edition I hope it comes with false Bond Kingdom that was my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game that wasn't Yu-Gi-Oh
I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh since middle school. 20+ years ago. I will definitely get this
I’m kinda baffled by the games show cased here. Duel monsters expect 6 is just the Japanese version of the stairway to the destined duel.
I'm just wondering when Konami will actually reveal more of the games in this collection?
Wish we could get Nightmare Tourbound 😢, but it may be tough with the DS screen. Still waiting for the School Days collection for GX
Is this only a switch exclusive?
Steam too
I didn't even realize this was getting a physical edition! Super excited for this!
If this compilation game does well i can see in the future (i hope) they doing the same thing for the Tag Force games
