This is a monster device with the 6490 chip , 5G sim and Wifi6 functions and it comes from the well known iHeylinkit brand thats why I have listed it as one of my fav even though I have not tested it yet.

Thanks, one last question, when going from CarPlay back to the android interface, does it automatically reconnect to the phones mobile hotspot for using TH-cam etc?

@@Brian_Earl_Spilner No it will not. Basically moving from one system to another will disconnect internet because carplay system doesnt need wifi connection. But if you are in Android system and you exit the car and come back it will automatically connect to hotspot

You need to first connect the device with a usb slot for power, then connect the HDMI from this device to the screen in your car. You might need to use BT remote if the touchscreen is not active with HDMI

I shutdown the device, turn off the headunit and switch off the car. The next day i realized it was powered again as my headunit's usb repowered the device. There is no way to off it except pulling the cable out. Quite troublesome for me, any ways to work around this?

You need 5.0 Ghz remote control that connects via BT. Just go to the bluetooth settings on this device and pair a new device (remote)

When buying these devices keep two things in mind, 1) Always buy a good well known durable brand like MMB, Carlinkit, iHeylinkit, Ottocast, Applepie. Most other brands try to copy their system 2) Buy original device from the official store, this ensures that you get the original device with good after sales service and supports regular software updates.
HBO max will not work on this device. It’s the only reason I bought it after watching your review. Pretty disappointed. Is there a tutorial on side loading?

Sorry about your experience but I disagree with you. This is a really good device, I have it with me for more than a month and it works perfectly. I use it on my VW ID.4 car. I tried it on my Toyota as well and it worked fine, no calibration issues. I dont work for this brand, and this review is based on my experience with the device. I suggest you contact their support center and they will help you with troubleshooting
