@@goosenotmaverick1156 Ditto. It’s depressing for a guy who grew up being able to ride motorcycles without a helmet. Ride in pickup beds even on the freeways. Cruise 1st St USA back when ‘cruising’ was not illegal. Ahhhh the good ole days. Precious memories.
It was really nice to see you guys back at Johns parents house. I commented on a video quite a while back where Johns Dad rode the snowmobile in the yard. I rambled on about how that day will one day be a cool memory to look back on and how cool it was that your Dad was involved. I lost my Dad two nights ago. We were somewhat estranged but he was the man that taught me to weld with both arc and gas when I was 10 or 11. He taught me how to fix damn near anything with what was on hand and I still do the fixing of things that I have absolutely no idea about today just by taking it apart and seeing how it works. I wish now I would have made more of an effort to communicate with him as I knew he wanted to talk to me. I tried a couple of times and when I couldn't get him I thought "There I tried, nothing to feel guilty about". Anyway, enjoy as much time as you can with your parents and make as many fun memories as you can with them. Record them on video or just normal conversations on audio. It's not something we really think about until the opportunity is no longer there. This wasn't a depressing post for me so please no worries. Watching your Dad enjoy himself on that sled in the summer and seeing you all back there just got me thinking. Thanks again for all the fun content. Much love from Ontario, Canada.
Oh man, what a great episode. I'm still smiling. It was also great to see a bit of Charles' origin story. You guys are awesome. Thanks again and Happy (belated) 4th!
Thank you guys for inspiring me I’ve been watching you for over a year now and I found a go kart for cheap and got it running keep up the amazing work.
Relatively speaking the mileage isn't that bad for screaming along at 3700 rpm. With an overdrive you'd probably get close to 40 mpg. Sounds like some engine mods and gearing change are in order. On a side note, Charle's "catch all" collection was awesome. I would love to have all those Briggs parts.
Kudos to Isaac for taking the chance of driving the midget all the way and Chuck making a cameo appearance in the video. Charles is such a comedian when he's Chuck. Nice job Isaac and Charles.
Living yer best life!!!!; Just finished my chopper, stage 1 predictor!!! Stupid fast!!!!! I meant to build a cruiser and built a drag chop..... absolute death trap😂
dude i loved yall when it was just you and Ike..... but now you could not have a better 3rd person on the crew then ole Charles !!!!!! he just completes the channel
We just happened to be in Beaufort this week for vacation from Ohio! Caught the tail end of the parade and must have missed you guys. Disappointment of a lifetime haha! Appreciate what y’all do, thanks for all the fun and entertainment over the years.
part of that torque steering is do to it being one wheel drive instead of both rear tires speeding you up or slowing you down its one causing the whole car to shift on and off throttle
I'm thinking a 4 link suspension in the back and a rack and pinion up front, probably a live axle instead of the "One Wheel Peel" setup currently in use. Either way the Midget is a sweet little ride!
John’s Dad here. I bought the Avalanch in 2002. Searched for one for months before they were made available. I refer to it as the Alpha-lance as it was the first model produced. A few years a I found a 2013 Black Diamond edition. Because it was the last year of production, I call it the Omega- launch. Lots of good memories driving John’s around. Thank you for recognizing it’s value.
When they turbocharged the Predator 670 for their dragster, didn't they say they had another turbo kit? Sounds like just the thing! If I found a King Midget like that, not only would I turbo Predator 670 swap it, I'd update the lights, including a third brake light, not to mention the suspension and brakes with modern go-kart pieces!
For the ones like me who wandered what that race car was, the number 72 one is a 1955 Dodge La Femme. Which is super cool to see one as a race car because there wasn’t a lot of them they where only made for two years (55 & 56) and where also spasticity made for women, very cool to see exactly as a race car
See if you guys could add a 5 speed trans out of a dirtbike with that thing so you could get some better mpg and upgrade the suspension with some adjustable shocks
Do you all think you could try and incorporate a radiator to maybe help keep the engine cool, or maybe try to figure out a way to cool the oil down? You could probably use a mini oil cooler that are usually mounted on cars for extra cooling. It'd also be cool to see it lifted with better wheels.
Isaac you are my hero. The world needs more cars like this. Commuter cars that when pushed can be road tripped. I don’t understand why nobody has revived these absolute beauties. Btw love the ragtop look, definitely a sweet touch. Honestly, I wish I had a micro car. PS. Thanks for showing us around your child hood work space, one of the thing I have always liked and respected about this channel is your down to earth, home grown content that is wholesome and family friendly.
The hitchhiking scene was epic! The old CaC HQ brings back memories of the $50 go kart! With John hitting kids in the face with candy and hoping the car was okay, Chuck hitchhiking and Ike eating the candy that fell in the seat, lots of laughs were ensured to come. Stay awesome!
I commute 80 miles a day to work and back. Gimme. Additionally, very very cool to feature the Occoneechee Speedway. I hope people never forget that track.
Have you considered a 'steering stabilizer' like the ones used on solid axle 4wd vehicles like Jeeps? It could be clamped to the long arm of the steering setup, using a gas filled monotube to absorb a lot of the 'road input' that makes the steering jerk and swerve. It would be a cheap fix for now. As for the shocks, Monroe has a chart in their online catalog that has the dimensions for each shock they sell, including the top and bottom attachment method. If it were me, I'd use it to help source a set of shocks, preferably KYB monotubes, at the very minimum for the rear, and the mounts if needed. It will make the car much safer and roadworthy. Just a thought. Love this car. Keep making her better.
Well I'm glad you are still alive but if I were to sum up my opinion of the King's road trip -ability I would only need two words... *Adult Diapers* The parade was where the King was most noble. I also enjoyed the tour of Chuckies Castle. Long live the flat head!
1. Proper tires 2. Rebuild the main drive. At least new seals but a good look over can't hurt. 3. Re do the steering to something not trying to kill you. 4. Replace/Upgrade the suspension so it again isn't trying to kill you. 5. Engine mods to give it more power 6. Larger sprocket on the main drive for a higher top speed so you can go proper highway speeds. 7. Find a way to better vent the engine compartment so it can keep things cool. Maybe it needs a fan somewhere to draw air in. CVT's are nice but they require the motor to rev high where as when your cruising you want low RPM thus killing your MPG's maybe a new driveline is in order. Great series I'd like to see more.
Awesome thats a long drive for that thing! I suspect the sketchy steering has more to do with the overpowered one wheel drive rear end. Doesnt matter you made it alive.
As soon as we wrapped the episode it started down pouring and the rear tire blew😳
Glad yall made it there safe. Happy independence day guys 🇺🇸
please turbo this thing
Fun
Lucky you got there ok 👌 👍
Tyres can be replaced
Turbo it
Love that John is trying to say the Jeremy Clarkson “terrible disappointment” line, meanwhile Charles is just trying to blow shit up.

Yes. We need origin stories for all 3.
These guys never fail to impress me, their creativity is insane, they need to do a collab with Cboys or someone 🔥
yes
No collab there doing just fine
They got together with junkyard digs
There's definitely more improvement to be made lol
100 percent should do a collab with cboys.
Glad to see friends having a good time together. That's what life is all about.
