That's so cool. I am using m50 for my channel right now. Trying so many different things but not able to get sharp detail footage. I will definitely use this method that you have shown here. However, I have a few quick questions: 1. How you upscale the footage in 4k? 2. What frames rate and shutter speed you are using on this video? 3. Are you using ND filters on this talking head video? I will be glad to see your answer. Right now I am using 30mm sigma lens but not able to get sharp footage like the one you are using but haven't tried the custom color profile yet like the one you have shared.
I am on an M6 Mark II hope these settings will apply to that too, btw what you said about the downloaded picture profiles you are damn right I am having a very hard time color grading those and they all look unnatural
Simple tips and explanations. Messing my head considering an upgrade from M50 to Eos R. But now, I realised i need a better lenses and small tweak in my M50 settings. And it is sad that I recorded with standard profiles all this years😭. Serious talk, you are very underrated. Deserve more subscribers and views👍🏻
5:45 yea same idk why but cinestyle just doesn't work for me but I happened to find a cLog picture profile and with good lighting techniques I was able to get a nice color graded image with little to no artifacts
MK2 has clean HDMI which is a BIG deal for some user's instead of using canon's workaround for clean HDMI. I personally have (3) M50's one being MK! others MK2
I've got a Mark ii M50 with the 15-45 kit lens and I also got a 10-18 lens with stabilizer for vlogs. To get some Bokeh, would you recommend that Sigma 16mm f/1.4 to replace one of my lens? I am wanting to go for a slightly more professional (cine) look.
sigma is a great move for the m50. just remember there’s no stabilization in that lens if your vlogging. doesn’t mean you can’t use it but just keep it in mind.
@@jeradneville Thanks so much! I think that is the next logical step for me. Thanks for the color correction (grading??) tutorial and the quick response!
Great video and explanation indeed helped a lot🙌 , but may i ask a question. Is the picture profile used to photos as well ? I shoot and edit RAW , so should i be using the default picture profile settings for the photos or the neutral one ? Which one would be better for photos ? Thankyou ❤️
thanks friend! for me i always just left the same setting for photos. i think it all really depends on your style and what you like the look of. if you’re shooting raw photos i dont think the profile settings matter that much. play around with it. but yeah i always just left the same settings.
100% I’m interested in the video but the copycat style of mannerisms is hard to get passed. Maybe he’s not copying and just happens to have every single mannerism of PM, but either way, it’s still hard to watch. Personally I can’t stand watching PM videos either.
Help please I own a canon m50 too but idk which lens to buy for food videos :( badly need one with a stabilizer if possible. Hope you can help me suggest what lens i should switch to 🙏
@@jeradneville thanks for that - any way you can tell me the best way you would set your cannon m50 to be flat as can be for editor color correct post-production? i trust you and your direction if you can help - thank you
Thanks for the vid! What you are getting out of the m50 is fantastic!!!👌🙌
Thank YOU!!🙏🏻🤘🏻
I will try to do one video with this settings to see how is looking ! Thanks for sharing !
Amazing! Hope it helps!✌🏻
Great video Jerad ! I begged you several times 🙏🙏🙏😀😀😀 to make a video like this and finally you did. Thank you very much
You got it my friend! Sorry it took so long just needed to work on how to say it all!🤙🏻

Your mannerisms are so much like Peter McKinnon. Awesome video!

Thank you I needed this
Lighting is the biggest secret. Master lighting no matter what your camera or lenses.
duh
It would've been a good video if you explained why you used the settings you did for the beginners.
make a video before you tell people how to make videos.

What are your export settings when editing m50 footage in premiere pro/davinci?

Thank you :) !
Are you trying to do Peter McKinnon! 😄😄
Not at all dude. But thanks for this annoying as fuck question. I’m me. Not trying to be anyone else. Just me.

Do you shoot in 4k or 1080p then upscale it to 4k? Fantastic vids from an m50.
1080 and upscale my dude! Thanks a lot!✌🏻🤙🏻
@@jeradneville Oh thanks. You've just inspired me to shoot more with my m50. 👊
Thanks bro
When you change the picture profile does that only effect video or both photo and video ? Also loving the content man keep it up 👍👍🙏
I believe it’s photo and video on the m50
Appreciate you
Thanks
I have the exact same setup! Love the look of your vids! Also, just subbed to get you to 700 you're welcome 😅
holy shit dude I didn’t even realize I was close to 700! thanks friend!
Thx for good job 👍👏🎥

Bro how did you copy all the edits to in edited clips using a single still image ?
Copy and paste my guy
@@jeradneville you mean copy paste like classic copy paste 🙂 👍. Thanks will try
Hi how about it's battery ?
Does canon m50 consume battery alot ?
how do i set my cannon m50 mirrorless to raw video so I can film and have someone else color grade it - please help me
you can’t. m50 doesn’t shoot raw.
@@jeradneville thanks for that - any way you can tell me the best way you would set your cannon m50 to be flat as can be for editor color correct post-production? i trust you and your direction if you can help - thank you
How do you record your audio? It distorts quite a bit. ;)
So you copy And paste the clip that you edit, to all clips,??? And it will give you kind the same color to all the video?
yeah but that’s not a one and done solution. you have to adjust each clip accordingly
@@jeradneville okay, thank you
Hi . How Can i have that lut's you used ?
Do you shoot in manual or auto
I got a m50 I but my videos are so terrible! :(
4:19 What camera mode are you in?
movie manual
