To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Resident Evil 4 remake, I created this opening sequence from the original game using LEGO.
Made using Blender with Mecabrics Addon.
Took around 3000 images and 1-2 months to finish.
Surviving (and building) is just the beginning.
The fact that he even captured that beat before the cutscene in the cabin begins where the game freezes for just a moment is absolutely stunning.
Pretty sure he recorded gameplay himself and then remade the entire thing in 3D Lego. That’s why it looks so accurate

You even nailed the small stutter during the transition to cutscene when approaching the first villager. This is some amazing attention to detail.

I saw this and now I really hope that that guy who makes Lego fan games based off of different games like the Fallout franchise and God of War: Ragnarok makes one like this. I was really impressed with the graphics of your animation! I questioned if it was real at one point, but then the pre-production clips came at the end! Wow! .nwn.

Amazingly accurate to the game, also I honestly thought this was done with stop motion until I saw the villagers arm and leg phase through the wall and floor a bit, I realised this must've been done on Blender, and when I read the description I was dead right 😂, regardless it doesn't take away the hard work put into this project. 👍🏽

I honestly thought this was stop-motion until I realize a real minifig couldn't hold a gun with two hands. And even then I still second-guessed myself until I saw your behind-the-scenes shots at the end. Amazing job! You captured the look of RE4 *and* Lego perfectly.
