Thanks for tips! I used to sleep on my stomach all the time! It still seems comforting to me, but now with constant SEVERE neck pain and stiffness, as well as daily headaches and migraines, I just can't take the risk. I go to sleep on my back and occasionally may wake up on my side (but that does cause shoulder, neck and jaw pain). I do appreciate your TH-cam channel. It will help me until the day I am able to see an orthopedist, chiropractor or physical therapist and get some professional evaluation.

In deep sleep I turn on my stomach with my neck twisted and usually my arm goes dead after a while. I also cycle and this combination then leads to massive neck and head ache. Last night stopped myself turning onto my stomach and my neck did feel better in the morning so will need to keep this up but I did enjoy stomach sleeping and will miss it as I just liked to change position from side to stomach during the night. Good vid though showing what I had come to conclude as I went from two to one pillow previously already for lying on my back but I dislike back sleeping.

I tend to use a neck brace to keep my head from turning to the side and I don't use a pillow. Any lift of my head will cause issues with my shoulders, arms and hands. If I use a pillow it goes under my upper back--fixes the slouch and has improved the issues.

. I have tried initially a roll with rice in it that I made you can heat that up in the microwave and put it on your neck for some heat as well as support. It was always wrong for me though either too large to small whatever. So then I went to a neck support that you might use when you're sitting that would help for a little while. But then I went to a gift that my daughter got me a pillow called a bone that is actually shaped like a bone that worked for a while and then I next tried a simple pool noodle that kids swim in the pool and play with cut it to a size and put that around under my neck and that is my current pillow and just want to put curvature into my neck. But I also find that I need to almost rotate depending on the neck pain where it is would have been doing that day between the three. So I hope that helps thank you for your wonderful presentations!

@Amelia I know it's crazy!! I had serious neck issues back then and several doctors advised me to discontinue the use of pillows under my neck, which eventually I learned to love. Now I am getting used to having to use them again as per a neck specialist who diagnosed my current conditions ;P Gotta just learn to go with the flow I suppose!

I would like to suggest Dr.Cole’s pillow for side sleepers. It perfectly aligns the neck with your shoulders . There is even an ear well that makes the pillow very comfortable . What a difference it has made for me! Don’t be discomfited by the rather peculiar shape- it is exactly what is needed. I bought mine at a local store but you can find it on the internet.

happy i found this video, I've always had headaches, and back pain, shoulder pain etc. And in last 5-yrs has been worst, but 100lb over weight so figured was the cause. In last few months, the neck pain has gotten so bad, I started buying pillows. Bought over a dozen $5 to $150 each. Nothing helped. Today I paid down on a $3500 super soft foam mattress from Serta. Thinking maybe that is what I need. ( Won't have in house for 2-weeks ) After seeing this video am thinking maybe cancelling. Cause I only sleep on my stomach. toss turn a lot, and sleep on side a little. But 90% stomach. Will force myself into back sleeping. And see if my problems go away. Thanks for the video.

Guy's. Your videos are great, but they are too long.
Imho for these positions, you should be able to get the message across in 3 to 5 minutes.
That's 1 min for the introduction
1 min per each of the 3 positions
    1 min to summarise. Max
Sorry I don't mean to be rude, I hope you appreciate constructive criticism.

Ben hi there, since the TH-cam “Ad-pocalypse,” channels significantly benefit from gaveling videos that are 10 min or longer. This is because they may be rewarded by advertisers for TIME users spend on a channel, not always NUMBER or views. The TH-cam algorithm rewards quantity, not quality.
Imagine this: ten people watch a ten minute video. That’s 100 min on the channel. Ten people watch a 5 minute video, that’s already half the channel time. They would need to produce twice the content for the same amount of views.
Hopefully this helps. Remember your attention is valuable and should not be wasted.
