First of all, welcome to Canada. Having been living in this country for 27 years, one phenomenon I found from some newcomers, to even old immigrants within the Chinese community is a feeling of nostalgia, and the hope to live a life so reminiscent to the one they had from where they originated from. While it is totally understandable to think about the good old days, I see some of these people struggled trying to live a parallel life and fail to assimilate into the community. Moving to a new country and establishing a foothold is nevertheless challenging. My advice would be to drop off some of your mental burdens, such as drawing direct comparison from what you have seen so far to what you are so used to in HK. Instead, explore the varieties and opportunities this country have to offer.

Montreal actually have more fancy kind of food compare to rest of the Canada,,, if you know where to go, in fact Montreal drives the trend in Canada cuisine Calgary, well I have lived in Calgary over 20+ years If the pipe line is not getting thru, we are not going any where Vancouver - just very cluster, and yes just like living in hk, vibrant, busy, and it takes hoursss to go from point A to point B If I ever moved back to Canada, I want my kid to grow up in Calgary, simple life, simple mind

Drive carefully in winter. I had my one and only one car accident on black ice. Winter tires are highly recommended for safety. I had my experience of all season (12 winters) and winter tires (8 winters). It worths to have winter tires.
Very hard to find job and tax is too high in Canada. On the other hand, people is nicer and u get universal health care. The job market is better in the US but no universal health care. Good luck.
I’m a working engineer who lived in Calgary for Calgary for 25 years and moved to Vancouver 2 years ago. I’ve traveled to eastern Canada before. Vancouver is definitely the place to live. Money should not be an issue if you work hard and work smart.
I don't think you should discount Vancouver due to shortage of jobs. Vancouver has surprising high num of tech jobs due to the proximity to the Bay Area and Seattle. If you are interested in tech or fintech, it is still a very good option

我在硅谷生活10年，奉劝各位移民前千万要深思，外国并不是一个梦想国度，英文不好加上没有专业，来这里就是超市餐厅工作，饮食更加不要发梦了，加拿大不是好地方，我邻居就是加拿大过来的，他说冷到想死，冬天下雪有2米高，交通不安全。
你去紅燈區一定雜嘅
多倫多很多港式茶餐廳下午茶餐加幣七元半，有大碗牛雜河加紅豆冰或奶茶咖啡，下午兩点半至五点。
我係溫哥華讀書生活左六年，加拿大對港人來講好易適應，環境生活保障等好好。但得罪講句，我認為加拿大係一個好平庸嘅國家，有錢去退休好正，冇錢餓唔死但發展機會就一般，而且好容易變“加燦”，細路容易變大鄉里。走我會傾向去倫敦，英國再有問題始終係國際大城市，歷史文化藝術商業等加拿大都比不上。雖然英國人比較複雜甚至乎幾寸，相反加拿大人比較simple同nice，不過港人又何妨唔係複雜同寸？所以港人一般轉數快同醒目又比較有國際視野，呢啲澳洲加拿大比唔到。
加油！無打算移民，但都睇左你好多條片。睇得出你好比心機edit。你個人應該都幾幽默。寫輪眼笑死我。

1. QIIP喺2020年度已滿額而2021年嘅配額會在七月開放但因疫情關係，聽聞會推遲
2. 雖然QIIP要求申請人寫明intention to reside in Quebec，但經過魁省第一步審批後最後决定權在聯邦政府，所以申請人並不一定需要在魁省定居，因為省的權限並不能凌駕於聯邦
3. 加拿大BC省嘅Kelowna 有超過150+個酒莊，但全部產量只足夠應付本省，甚少出口
4. Alberta無疑係全國中税率最低，但自從石油工業每況愈下，因而生嘅周邊工作機會亦差咗好多;天氣方面，Alberta六月仲會落雪，七、八月過後，九月又落過，所以怕凍真係要留意吓！
5. 唔知你有冇發現Alberta 嘅車，好多擋玻璃有裂痕？因為Alberta省政府在落雪時會灑石仔溶雪，而其他省份大多係用鹽。

你見到酒貴係主要因為餐廳吊高嚟賣, 如果去酒舖買唔會好貴. Ontario 嘅Niagara Region 係有出產酒, 紅白都有但係主打ice wine. 移民嚟到可以試吓去wine tasting -- 仲可以subscribe membership, 咁每個月酒莊就會直接寄酒去你屋企 :)

1997年之前，一個香港家庭移民到卡爾加里。他們在香港開茶餐廳。 他們在卡爾加里開了一家茶餐廳。由於卡爾加里對他們來說太冷了，他們在完成移民計劃之前就搬到了南美。 後來，他們根據一項大赦計劃移民到美國。
