I am worried because the journey is over. Will you still create videos? You have become a friend to your TH-cam viewers. This is a fairly nice apartment, although there is no Toilet Paper Storage.

That's a surprisingly cute apartment, maybe because there a 2 windows for such a small space, but it feels more roomy. If the fridge is not tall you can add some more storage over it, and it's not difficult to add a small shelf for toilet paper over the toilet, since it's not heavy)
As an American who grew up in apartments, I find it interesting that even the tiniest Japanese apartment has space for a washer/dryer. Even the largest of apartments I lived in had only communal washers and dryers in the basement of the building. I’m 70 years old and haven’t lived in an apartment for several decades, so I don’t know what the standard is now. If this is the apartment you are going to move to, I hope you continue making videos. I greatly enjoy seeing the restaurants and food you show.
It think in the USA most apartments still have no washer and it is the same in Germany. This is the most thing I love in Japanese apartments. You can wash your clothes and do not need to go outside.
Some newer apartments in North America have washers and dryers in the apartments. I lived in two which did. But there are lots of apartments which still do not.

The smallest apartments here in Germany that I know of in real life have around 23sqm, and very often the people who live there prefer going to a public laundrette once a week over wasting their precious little space for a washing machine. Also a lot of apartment buildings that were built in the 60ies and 70ies have these communal washing machines in the basement, even though the one person apartments have around 40sqm. But the standard is that most people who live in apartments have their own washing machine.
Only luxury apartments in my town have washers and dryers.
I quite like this one, separate area for sleeping, plenty of light, feels open and airy 👍🏻 But your journey cannot be over I need to see apartments each week and try to guess if it has toilet paper storage 😢

One of the best of10 square meters apartment. Very cozy and a loft space has a much height and even window.
The interesting thing is that after so many apartments, I feel like I'm in deja vu. Nice, with good flooring and enough light. But too much climbing. In a sleepy state in the middle of the night, I can go down like a fireman😂 . It will be interesting to see in the next episodes your choice. I also really hope you continue your videos on another topic.

No shoe cabinet and no toilet paper storage. Unacceptable.
Since the journey is over when will you let us know what your choice is? It can't be this one. The way the apartment is set up it is difficult to put any furniture in. It seems that narrow area is not for the refrigerator. There isn't any outlet to plug it in. The two ladders took up most of the space. I hope you continue to post videos. I really enjoy your channel.

I like it. You can put a small fridge up to the washing machine or under the kitchen and in the original fridge space a wardrobe.
Do you young people not need to use the toilet at night? I would hurt myself at 3 am trying to navigate those ladders!
I’d put a futon couch on the bottom level and use the loft for office/closet.

The floor is so shiny. Beautiful. Every object has it's own space. Washing machine, refrigerator... Great. A separate room for the toilet. I like the loft space. Big window and enough space for a bed. 👍🏻
There's no real usable space on the first floor! Loft space seems decent, but I'd hate to have to go up and down those ladders every day.🙃

This is one of the better loft layouts I've seen on your channel. At least the ladder is out of the way and the loft space is big enough for a bed.
Apartment Cat is not impressed. Loft--blah, doing laundry in the genkan--nah. 0/5 for the apartment. But that pork cutlet got a full 5/5 paw prints. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Usui thank you for exposing us to places that use space differently. I get inspiration from your videos. To be clear, there is NO scenario that you will choose an apartment with a loft! Keep up your good work of showing people about what is truly essential in regards to possessions.
Honestly this has to be the best loft space you've ever showcased. It is sunny, spacious, has its own window which isn't small, and would fit both a futon and a small working space. The loft alone elevates this appartment from a bad one to one at least worthy of consideration! I would love to try this one myself

Your lunch looked amazing! The stairs in the apartment, not so much. They made me anxious, and I wasn't even the one climbing them. I can't imagine being exhausted at the end of the day or needing to get up to pee through the night and having to navigate those. 😅 The rest of the space is very usable though.

Looking on my feed and what a pleasant surprise! I didn't know a new video was out. Was very nice. However, no toilet paper shelves unless its in the hallway. Because of your fear of heights, is a huge no ftom me.

El area de la lavadora se me hace claustrofobico 😅 pero se puede trabajar con eso.
La regadera para pies se me hizo curiosa y bueno la regadera es de buen tamaño.
La cocina es de gas 🎉🎉🎉 y tiene buen espacio de almacenamiento abajo.
Solo que el lugar para el refrigerador se me yace pequeño.
El espacio restante es pequeño pero quedaria bien un escritorio plegable.
Las escaleras dobles siempre me preocupan porque si quieres ir al baño en la noche puede ser peligroso.
El loft 😮 me sorprendio porqie es muy grande en comparación con otros y tiene una ventana de buen tamaño.
Usui me da gusto que encontraras tu departamento ideal pero voy a extrañar tu videos de micro departamentos, espero que no nos abandones y compartas un poquito de tu vida en tu nuevo departamento.
I like this, loft is bigger than needed, the ladders are not to steep and don't have to be moved, great use of the small amount of space
I like this apartment the most so far, very much light and it has some kind of nice feeling, when you enter it (even without the paper toilet storage 😄). Thanks for taking us with you on these trips!
i really like it! i think if you furnish it correctly (bed with storage below it, books behind the smaller ladder and shelves below the big one for clothes, this could be a very functional apartment! It's also really sunny and appears very quiet. so cute!
I like that there is a window in the loft area and looks like enough room to stand up. The living space though is a little tight.

Decent sized loft. Ladders seem more secure.
I like that there is a little more space in the loft, some haven’t had room for a bed. It is good to have room for a refrigerator, something others didn’t; if you don’t need a refrigerator or even if you had a small one, you could put a bar high up so you could hang clothes above. I would like it better if there was a little more space on the main floor for a small sofa and your desk and chair, but I know it is not meant to be an apartment for entertaining.
*If your journey is over, I hope you will still show us micro apartments, maybe even small apartments as I have much to learn about living in small spaces.
Every time I’ve seen this unconventional spaces I think the importance of Kisho Kukosawa metabolic movement, that looked for the necessity to optimize small spaces in to self contained units. It’s so sad that it’s iconic Nakagin Capsule Tower it’s not here anymore, you will found it a very cozy and perfect space for you in just 10 sqm without sacrificing comfort
Love this room! It’s sunny, not located on high level floor. I like the high ceiling too, plus the rent price is reasonable 😊
I like this apartment. You said the height didn't bother you an there is room for everything. No, there isn't toilet paper storage but you could put a shelf up.

It has everything that is needed (not toilet rolls shelf though 😊) for life in a micro apartment. The limited safety railing for the ladders, especially the middle landing, would make me feel anxious though as so high up if slip. Your lunch looked delicious 😋
it's good, especially with a large loft space as bed room, although the position of the ladder is a bit of strange, and the kitchen does not have ventilation, means that you are not able to fry food.
But the rent is cheap enough to compensate, of course if it can reduce to 60K will be perfect.

I liked that the washing machine was well away from the living space and the kitchen had a real under cabinet and place for the fridge. Otherwise, it’s not my fav. You end by saying your journey is over. Does that mean you made your decision?
That is a pretty nice space. I think a futon in the loft would also provide enough space for one of those floor chairs to allow space to just kick back. I light and the height help make it feel more open.
Terminé ? Parce que vous le prenez ? Il y a la place pour des rangements sous les échelles et à côté du bureau. Sans doute aussi dans la mezzanine. Vous pouvez rajouter une étagère au dessus des toilettes pour le PQ ou un petit panier par terre. Dans l'entrée, quelques crochets au mur ou une barre au dessus du lave-linge pour pendre vos vestes. Bref, en y réfléchissant bien, vous trouverez des tas d'astuces pour rendre ce micro-appartement confortable. Peut-être de la place pour un petit fauteuil. Je n'ai pas fait bien attention au séjour. En tout cas, tous mes vœux pour la suite, où que vous viviez

I watch your videos continuously. Very small micro-apartments are very interesting. Also, everything is very clean and comfortable in Japan.
I only started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago, and really enjoyed them. Finding a new video to watch became the best part of the day for me.

Downstairs feels more like an office, Space for long and narrow desk by stairs, you could put a little nightstand or storage cabinet with a tv at corner wall with the control panels across from kitchen, I'd use top for sleeping with a simple but thick mat and put one of those low sitting tables upstairs for coffee or tea lighting incense if allowed and use that space to get away from tech for a moment upstairs where it feels less crowded. Curious what the view is like outside the loft window but at least will make a nice breeze, not bad apartment. Wish it was slightly cheaper at $400 usd or 61000 yen although $350 would be ideal only because living in space areas like this really is a sacrifice in itself. If utilities included $400 is good.
not a fan of this personally, the lower floor has awkward spaces. but please, let us know what's your next journey? :)
This is obviously not the one for Usui-san. Steep ladder up to a loft and no toilet paper storage. The katsudon was oishi-so!

its looks comfortable to live in, the best part is shower wash feet because I always wash my feet when I came home. lots of room to keep things in. The loft has a window!

That is so funny! I was thinking the exact same thing, "toilet paper storage over the washing machine". It's not a terrible apartment. But there are some I think are better. I am looking forward to see which you have decided on. I have enjoyed this journey. I will be sad to see it come to an end, but happy for you to find your ideal apartment.

I am hoping that it isn't as this apartment left much to be desired what with no toilet paper storage, two ladders and no escape rope. Perhaps we can start a journey for 1LDK? Another beautifully edited video from Usui-san and Spider-Man! What more can I want haha! It is sad that there is no toilet paper storage, but I do like the arrangement of the place! Because of the loft space it feels very much seperated from the "living" area, which I personally like :) Thanks to your tours I get so many ideas for new Sims4 builds haha! Lots of room in this loft space. Just don’t know how much you like the loft. Not too bad, but ultimately up to you and your budget. Lunch looked yummy.
I confess that I laughed at the beginning of the video when I saw that there were 2 stairs again... However, it's not a bad micro-apartment. But the two stairs bother me and the rent is too high to have 2 stairs. In my opinion, for this price there are others with space for everything on a single floor.

What do I think of the apartment? I think first world nations have failed their citizens regarding wages to support a family, as well as affordable housing. Usui has a really good job, modest spending habits, and no vices. In the 1960's to 90's his income would have paid for a modest home, a wife, and a child. Right now, his housing spending is not an investment. It isn't a mortgage, when he retires, his reduced income from a pension isn't supported by only needing to pay housing taxes.

I like the sunniness, and the two ladders to what is otherwise a very tall loft. I am worried that the refrigerator space is too thin for an actual refrigerator.
Katsudon... I haven't eaten it since the pandemic. I miss it.
A JR station to move around Tokyo is not the best option, but it depends on where you need to go.
I think I like this one the best so far.
