    Can you use tension rods and a floating shelf for toilet paper storage?? There's so much room above the toilet that I'm surprised the landlord hasn't added it! I LIKE this apartment!!

    This one has a nice separation of spaces, ample kitchen and bathroom, and I really like the natural light that comes in through the windows in the living space. There are plenty of options for how furniture can be arranged in that space, too. Toilet paper storage under the sink in the bathroom? :-D I like this one!

    It's really nice to see a bit of colour around the place and some styling that's not concrete or plainness. They've made a decent effort with the whole place to feel bigger than it looks first of all. I'd consider the under sink space for toilet paper storage though, it's got potential! It is though quite expensive compared to the others.

    I agree this one is fabulous. Everything is well thought out. Nice cupboards in the kitchen and you could store your toilet paper under the bathroom sink. Of course it’s a small apartment and not a micro so it costs a lot more. It would be so nice to entertain there.

    Although the rent is high, I LOVE the apartment. Guess I'm more of a small apartment girl than a micro. Maybe it's because the small apartments seem to have better layouts & just make better use of the space. So many of the micro apartments are just bad design & function. As for the toilet paper storage, I'd get one of those over-the-toilet storage shelves. That would fit toilet paper, towels, & even a fake plant. I really do love this apartment, though. The search goes on...... 💖💖💖💖💖

  • @how_about_naw
    @how_about_naw 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    More expensive, but nice. Perhaps for a couple? No toilet paper storage, but lots of other places you can store or install a tension-based shelf. All of the spaces for big items like a fridge or washer are already assigned, so the furniture can be placed more freely.
    I like the dual aspect windows too, more light as the sun moves in the day.
    If I ever get my home bathroom remodelled I wish to have a dehumidifier in the ceiling too, but they don't seem to be very common in the UK. It seems like a smart thing to have in the wettest room in the home! Especially if the room has no windows to let out the bath and shower steam!

  • @ezrasgrl
    @ezrasgrl หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Even with no existing toilet paper 🧻 storage, this apartment is fantastic! Toilet paper storage can be made to fit the space (pending landlord approval of course 😅). The light with projector is *such* an ingenious idea! I agree with another commenter - Japanese design 🤌🏻

  • @aricbuckholt293
    @aricbuckholt293 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Maybe not for you, but to me that is a livable space. You could probably add a compression shelf for toilet paper storage :). The bathroom is one of the nicest yet, and I think the shelves by the mirror may allow me to actually store the toilet paper under the sink. Two burners and a little counter space in the kitchen is nice. Mid sized fridge and you could store stuff on top of that, maybe even have a small toaster oven to pull down and do some light baking. I don't know if small toaster overs are popular or used there, but I'd throw that in for myself. The living / sleeping area is nicely sized. Could fit a slightly larger bed in there in addition to a desk and even a small table. While it is pricier, I don't think it seems out of line for a place like that. Always fun to see what you come across.

  • @coldcoffeehk
    @coldcoffeehk 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Most probably this is the best place among you introduced.
    Although the rent is a little bit expensive (but you can negotiate a better rent with the owner, for example around 100K - 103K).
    But one thing I want to say at here is that, if you can affordable, why not choose a better and bigger place to live.
    For this channel, you can continue to introduce other micro apartment to us, but for yourself, let's have a better home.

  • @wolfinpdx
    @wolfinpdx 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    This is pretty close to the top of my list for apartments you've toured so far. It's the most practical layout in my opinion. And larger than your current place, if that is what you are considering now. I would strongly recommend you move in, if other factors are positive.
    I have moved a lot in the last 30 years. I've found it is a good idea to have a sense of the neighborhood during the day and night. On the weekends especially. I like to go to the grocery store during the day. Go a local restaurant at night. Preferably both of them within walking distance. I feel you get a good idea about the community you will be joining.
    Whatever you decide, thank you for making such interesting videos about life where you live!

    Toilet paper storage is under the bathroom sink in the cabinet. Also keep your next one on top of the toilet tank. Price is about right for a small well appointed apartment. In my area it would be 800-1000 dollars per month.😢

    I like this one, even though technically not micro it is a ‘tiny home’. Everything that anyone could need to live on a micros scale, apart from toilet paper holder, which I think a temporary shelf could be put up for. I like how everything to do with washing is in one room and not sectioned into individual rooms. Makes the space feel bigger. It looked like spidy had his case packed ready to move in 😊. Thank you for your video.

    Oh Usui, I LOVE this apartment. It has a very nice layout, everything fits very well. There is plenty of space for 1 person. Even a bath tub is there, the whole bathroom is really great. And the living room is sooo bright and has enough space for bed and desk and whatever is needed. The view from the windows is really nice.
    The rent is very much higher than for your current apartment. And probably its to big for your purposes. Too bad.

    i love this one. it feels homey right away. the amount of natural light in the living area is fantastic. more than 1 small window panel in a room like this is a luxury tbh. everything has a designated place or rack for storage EXCEPT a toilet paper cabinet 🤣. the seapration between the living area and also kitchenette area is a good idea because u dont want living area to smell like food. bathroom is quite spacious tbh. overall this is a very well laid out and designed mini apartment. the light+projector combo is a game changer and totally adds to extra points for this aprtment.

  • @auberginebear
    @auberginebear 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    From space for a full sized fridge and washer/dryer to the spacious room big enough for a desk, bed, and even bookcase, this looks like a perfect apartment! The projector is also a nice bonus, but that rent is pretty high.

  • @prissilou
    @prissilou 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I like the apartment more than anything else you have looked at, but realize it is more expensive than where you live now. The bathroom is nice, I like the tub. My opinion is that they should put a refrigerator and washer in these apartments, but then they would probably want to charge more. If you compute the monthly or annual cost of having to go out to do your laundry, maybe you could compare that. What does Spidey think?

  • @stevianheartbound
    @stevianheartbound 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I still say you get more space/amenities with just renting two micros at that price, but this is a very dignified place. I like it a lot. If it has good internet and you had to live in there you'd be unlikely to get cabin fever. Very doable.

    I like the size and layout of this apartment. The price seems nice but you'd have to factor in buying a refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and maybe a toaster oven. I've be willing to go to Ikea and find a storage solution for the toilet paper storage situation. I wonder too at the size of the water heater? How big is that thing and is it only for that apartment? I'd rather see a small on demand water heater that would take up less space. For that price maybe a good starter apartment for an ambitious young couple starting out. Thanks for sharing your ideal apartment search.

    I thought it was promising from the thumb, so here we go: what a spacious shower area!! And, trying to defend the bathroom, you can store the toilet paper in the cabinet under the sink :D Due to the fact that the wardrobe is not next to the stove (ep. 36) and there is no loft with a ladder (ep. 34), this It's my new favorite small apartment! Buuut, the rent takes away all the shine, right?
    P.S. I found the emergency rope different/exciting, lol, it looks like rappelling! But knowing you, you must have hated the idea of using it!

    Though not a micro-apartment (I love seeing those just to see how well a small space can be optimally designed), this is a lovely small apartment, so many nice amenities 🙂! Short of a toilet paper storage rack, the two other major features that are a must (at least in my books and I am sure in many others), are both washing machine hook-up and designated refrigerator space. The rent seems high, but from other videos I have watched on TH-cam about apartments in Japan, it seems to still be quite reasonable/affordable (?), I could be wrong. I am loving your channel, thank you as always for sharing your adventures in seeking out the ideal micro/small apartment!

    I know it's the most expensive apartment you have seen, but what a beauty! More space, everything that you could want (put the toilet roll under the hand basin) and you can actually have a few more bits of furniture. For balance, that price is 3/4 of what I paid for my last 2 bedroom flat in South East England, and really it depends on how that works based on what you earn. Can't wait to see what you visit next.

    This one is very nice. I would enjoy living here. But I feel you would prefer a smaller, more simple place. You have said you once lived in a normal apartment, but find that living in a micro apartment more to your liking. So while this apartment is very nice, I think that it's also still not what you're looking for. I have looked back at the apartments we've already seen. I'm liking the micro apartment in Ep. 35. I wished it had storage for shoes, but if you don't own many shoes, that may not be something you need anyways. There is a cooktop, if you need it. But if you're not much into cooking, it looks like you could move it away, and that would free space on the counter for other things. The bathroom includes a small tub, which gives you options to have a shower or bath. I hoped it had a dehumidifier so you could use it to dry clothes, but it didn't look like it did. There's toilet paper storage though. The apartment has space to put a bed and table without needing to have a loft. I don't think you would much enjoy having a loft. But there is a little more space than where you live now, so there's room for a refrigerator, then you have somewhere to keep cold drinks and ice cream. I wished your washer/dryer would fit, but I haven't seen any apartment where it would fit. The location seems convenient, being in walking distance to many places. I also considered the price when deciding that I think that Ep. 35 may be the best for you so far.

  • @Serviervorschlag-
    @Serviervorschlag- 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    This is one of the best apartment you have shown us (and also the most expensieve) with only a few things I would make different. There are many doors for this small room so that there will be the problem for me to place something at the wall. The emergency ladder also stands at the window and at the side of it there is only a small place but I think I would place my bed there and place something on the box of the emergency ladder.
    Instead of the shoe cabinet I would place a high bookshelf or a closed shelf. The shoe cabinet is wasted space but the rest is fine. 😊 I only find the red colour of the kitchen too aggressive for me. I would prefer blue, green, yellow or beige and would buy a wallpaper in a colour I like to paste it on the kitchentte. 😁
    I like that there is enough space in the bathroom and I like the view outside very much. It looks a bit rural with houses not so tall and quiet and a bit green. 😊

    This 'small' apartment is luxurious!!! It has separate rooms!!!! Reflected in price and worth it I think if you are happy with all the features. Plenty of living space for bed, table and other small furniture. But if you don't need all the features then its quite pricey. If you ignore the price, then its the best apartment so far. However considering the price, I think some viewed previously may be sufficient.

    This one is amazing. It cost more, but I think it is totally worth it. It would be nice for you to have separate areas.

    Love everything about it. More on the expensive side but the necessities have been met with gold marks based on your preferences minus the pricing and toilet paper storage 😅

    Good location,rent is cheaper than I expected. So much space. A small fridge for cold drinks would be nice. Since you don’t cook, the cooktop can be covered and you have more space for snacks or whatever. You may have to get an extra chair just for watching movies..lol

    No Toilet Paper Storage?! 😵 Well, that makes this apartment completely unsuitable. That massive water heater is a little worrying, and the rental price is quite high. The rescue rope is horrifying. Everything else about this place is super-nice. Love the lamp projector.

    So fun to watch your journey! And the rent for this apartment isn't bad, for me at least. In Norway there are many small apartment in the "big" cities and they are not in this perfect shape!

    This is very nice! My only thought is the water heater being so enormous. Smaller electric water heaters definitely exist.

    As you went through this small apartment, my first thought was that the rent is probably too expensive for your budget. The extra amount of space in the bathroom and separate kitchen area and the extra luxury like the home theatre are great but not exactly what you may be looking for or would pay for in a higher rent. I'm sorry you haven't found the right place yet, but I am enjoying the search since we get to see all of these unique and interesting layouts. Good luck!

    It's not micro, but it's very well equipped small apartment. They did a nice job of giving all the things you need in a small space. The rent seems reasonable for this apartment.

    This is a nice apartment but like you pointed out, it's small but not micro. It has many nice things. The light and projector is something I've not seen before and I like it. I am surprised considering how modern and tech filled it is that the toilet is just basic with no bidet function. I love the bath and wash area set-up there. The kitchenette is very good.
    The rent tells me somebody has more money than brains to live there, unless they are made of money, or have rich parents.

    Bonjour Isui. Superbe.
